My subject is because I would like to know how to refute Adventist doctrine since I have been attacked for a long time by people close to that religion.

Part 1- Seventh-day Adventism - The Spirit Behind the Church [media=]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zwygXK1bBc&list=PLC67CB88CFFEE3950 1843 – Cult: Adventists. A minister by the name of William Miller believed that he had discerned the actual date of the return of Christ - 1844. It didn’t happen on the date predicted. It also didn’t happen the following year when he predicted Christ’s return. This became known as the “Great Disappointment.” Miller was understood to be a false prophet. 1863 – Cult: Seventh Day Adventists. Spinoff of Adventist movement lead by William Miller. Ellen Harmon, later to become Ellen G. White, claimed that she had a revelation from God that Miller’s date was correct after all. 1844 was a spiritual date that Christ came and cleaned the sanctuary. She offered no proof of her assertion Biblical or otherwise. White received a revelation that true Christians must keep the Sabbath and worship on Saturday. This of course is a false claim by a false prophet. She wrote 49 books adding to the Bible. Thoughts on this first section?
