  1. The very first miracle of Jesus turning water into wine in John 2 provides some clues as to how we might access the reality of what we have read and studied in His Word. There was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. Jesus was there and a need arose. Jesus was asked, and He responded by turning the water into wine. He thus openly revealed His glory for the first time in public. This miracle opened the flow for others, and Jesus went on to heal the official's son, then the invalid by the pool of Bethesda (see John 4 & 5). Jesus revealed the source of these first three miracles by saying: "I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself; He can only do what He sees the Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does. For the Father loves the Son and shows Him all He does. Yes, to your amazement He will show Him even greater things than these"- John 5:19-20 NIV. The New Living Translation sheds further light on verse 20 of John chapter 5: "For the Father loves the Son and shows Him everything He is doing. In fact, the Father will show Him how to do even greater works than healing this man. Then you will truly be astonished." WE CAN ASK THE FATHER TO SHOW US HOW From these verses, we learn that Jesus could do only what He saw the Father doing, and that the Father would show Him how to do even greater works. As we abide in Him, hear His heartbeat, and get onto His page, we too can ask the Father: FIRSTLY to show us what He is doing, and then to show us how to do even greater works. SECONDLY, the miracle occurred to meet a need and because Jesus was asked. May we have the courage to ask Him to meet our needs and the needs of others. THIRDLY, we note that the miracle was done in public, revealing His glory for the first time and opening the flow for the ensuing miracles. Let us pray for the breakthrough of the revelation of His glory which will allow the flow of His miracles through our lives. When seeing the things of God, we still have our physical eyes on what we view in the natural realm, but we need to ask the Lord to give us the Spirit of revelation in order to open the eyes of our hearts so we can look beyond the physical into the Spirit realm, enabling us to realize the full depth of what God sees in the situation. Our seeing beyond the natural or outside the box may well require us to step out in faith. Peter modeled this for us when Jesus bade him to "come" and he stepped out of the boat onto the water. God promises when we step out in faith at His bidding, that the unknown beneath our feet will become solid ground. John 14:12 - "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father." Jeremiah 33:3 - "Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know." PRAYER FOR US TO SEE AND DO: Lord, please show me what You are doing. Please show me how to do even greater works. Bid me to come, to step out of the boat onto the water into theDESTINY You have prepared for me, and to add action to my faith. Take me outside the box of my current understanding and grant to me the spirit of wisdom and revelation so that I will not judge by what my eyes see in the natural, but that by the power of Your Holy Spirit I will begin to see and hear and feel and taste and touch the reality of what I have read and studied in Your Book! May I delight in what You show me, then step out and follow Your lead. In Jesus name, amen. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  2. 2 Chronicles 17:9 -- "For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him..." The word tells us that God shows Himself strong in behalf of those whose hearts are "perfect" toward Him. "Perfect does not mean that we have to do everything just right and live without making a mistake. I means "devoted" -- a heart consecrated, dedicated, loyal and faithful to God. Who is faithful? The one who spends his time doing what God has called him to do. Or as Jesus put it, --the one who takes up his cross and follows Him. The one who denies His fleshly desires and spends his life on the things God desires him to do. Psalms 37:28 -- "For the Lord loves the just and will not forsake His faithful ones." Revelation 2:10 -- "Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life." AFFIRMATIONS: Today I decide to be a faithful and wise servant. I find out that is stealing my time from the Lord. I serve His interests instead of my own. I take of Jesus' thoughts today. I take up His purposes and plans. Now is the time to be faithful! INTO ACTION: What has God called me to do? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  3. Exodus 16:4 -- "Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law or no." God took a little insignificant matter, the food they ate -- and used it to see if they would listen to Him or not. He told them how much of it to gather, when to gather and when not to, and what to do with it after the brought it in. And the Israelites went right out and violated those instructions. They showed God by their actions that His voice was not important to them. They were not willing to obey even His simplest commands. God works the same way with us today. Before He sends us on a major mission, He gives us the occasion to prove we can be trusted with small instructions. Luke 16:10 -- "He who is faithful in a very little (thing), is faithful also in much". INTO ACTION: What has God given you to do right now? What could you do better? ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  4. James 4:3 - "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." OBSERVATION: If I am not receiving from God, I need to change what I have been giving my attention to. Affirmations: I AM THE VICTORY THROUGH OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST. (1 Corinthians 15:57) I AM BLESSED WITH EVERY SPIRITUAL BLESSING IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES IN CHRIST. (Ephesians 1:3) I AM SEATED WITH CHRIST IN HEAVENLY PLACES. (Ephesians 2:6) Matthew 12:34-37 - "For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account therof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned". OBSERVATION: My future -- good or bad -- is in me, right now. It's in my mouth and it's determined by the words I speak. I am the prophet of my own life. AFFIRMATIONS: The Spirit of God is creating a desire for the NEW - I thank the Holy Spirit for helping me to press through into this new place. Revelation is opening my eyes and giving me this new vision. I arise now. My provision is waiting at the next level. The course of the river is beginning to change. I jump in and go up! A new height, a new momentum, and a new strength enters my soul. I refuse to sit any long in a low place. Revelation 22:1 - "And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb." OBSERVATION: God leads me to the river of His Spirit -- the current of clear goodness that flows without ceasing. As I step into that unfailing new life I will want nothing else.
