  1. With all the talk about OSAS and Legalism and Repenting and all this STUFF......... I thought it would be a good idea to show you an idea of how to think about salvation so that its really made to be understood ....as so very simple. Here we go.. Adam had the righteousness of God. He was made this way....(let us make man in our image....same as us, regarding spirituality)........Adam had God's Spirit in him. He was "righteous"......exactly like God. When he disobeyed, ate the apple...... He lost his Righteousness...and he spiritually died. ..He was no longer ONE with God, and had became "fallen"....or you could think of it as..,,,,, disconnected from God's Spirit and LIFE. Salvation is God reconnecting you to him, exactly as Adam was connected to God, before He fell. So, What had to happen so that WE who have this "adamic nature", this unrighteousness as our very spiritual SELVES........... what had to happen so that we could AGAIN be like the 1st Adam,= "sinless", "righteous? What had to happen, so that we could be reestablished as the same RIGHTEOUS, as the original Adam? Well, Jesus, the 2nd Adam, had to come and die, and give us HIS Righteousness, so that we are reestablished like Adam was spiritually..... before Adam the 1st lost his righteousness. See it? So, Salvation, is God reestablishing us, as the same RIGHTEOUSNESS, as Adam had before he fell. Its the same "one with God" in Spirit, that is our "born again" redemption. This is the effect of being BORN AGAIN......we are SPIRITUALLY remade the same as the 1st Adam before he fell, because the 2nd Adam, (Jesus), took our sin and died for it all, and gave us in place of our sin, ..his very righteousness. "the gift of Righteousness". So, this recreates us...(born again) to be the same as Adam was, SPIRITUALLY, BEFORE HE FELL. This is what Salvation does for us. This is BORN AGAIN.< blessings, <B><
  2. Here are some thoughts you might consider, regarding "Losing your Faith"...... and if your bible is near by.......... Here is the reality... > Your Faith does not save you. God SAVED you through your Faith. Big difference. Vital Distinction. So, falling away from it after you are SAVED, basically does nothing but allow God and others to esteem you as a backslider. This person is a sheep who is off the main path but they are not a "LOST" sheep, as they were previously found by Jesus's Blood and redeemed. There are a lot of Christian sheep who are no where near the path of Light, yet they are all Children of the Light. There is no verse in the NT that says....>"ok, you fell out of Christ". And that is because you can't. You are "bone of Jesus Christ's bones, and flesh of Jesus Christ's flesh". "ONE"...>"In Christ". "As Jesus is so are the born again in this world".... right now. "seated in heavenly placed, IN CHRIST....right now". And a backslidden (Christian) says,"" but, i downloaded porn yesterday, and today i stole money from my mother's bank account, and tomorrow im going to fornicate with my stepson again after he's back from Church.""" And this person, who is saved, yet doing all this..... is going to suffer down here. Not today, as sentence against sin, "reaping and sowing", is coming...but it does not happen the day you sin.....but its COMING.... So this person is going to HURT for what they are doing........its coming.........."Sowing and Reaping". This is explained by Ecclesiastes 8:11 Its explained by the "long-suffering (Patience) of God. However.....Paul details it the same.. = that if they dont turn from their "works OF the flesh", repent..... and get back into the righteous walk, then they will "reap what they have sown", be "chastened of God" over and over, and if that won't make them stop, they will , over time, lose everything, except for their Salvation. Family, job, money, friends, lifestyle .GONE.....and then they will get sick, and then they will die. Romans 8:13 As THAT is the final result of SIN, (sinning), as a believer, and continuing to LIVE IN IT. Seems fair... But, what is also a fact, is that this born again person, wont suffer in eternity for those sins, because Jesus has already died for all of them, on a Cross, on Earth. We as BIBLE believers are to understand that in Eternity, in Heaven, the only Sin that God evaluates, to evaluate you, is the one that rejected the Cross. This is the unpardonable sin., as if you do this one, then you prevent the Cross from taking your sin,.....and you die "un-pardoned".....= the un-pardonable....sin. = Christ Rejection. This is actually choosing to go to Hell. Bad choice. See.....Its only a Christ Rejector......it only THIS sin, that is alone dealt with In Heaven, in Revelation 20:11. Great White Throne. Believers die and meet Christ because we Trusted Him on EARTH, but if you didn't, then you dont meet Christ as your Savior, you only meet the JUDGE who Sent Jesus here, and you Rejected Him. And now God will reject YOU.......= Hell .... = THE LAKE OF FIRE ! So, if you are not saved, and you are reading this... please do not reject Christ and meet God as you Judge. Please don't do that. Received Jesus, Trust in Jesus..... kneel at the Cross and receive the LOVE of God.... End up happy in Heaven, and eternally so. Down here, on earth, a believer's bad behavior is dealt with by THE LAW OF... "reaping and sowing". And God will also correct a born again believer, .. Hebrews 12:6...and will anyway. Most Christians have not been taught all this basic NT understanding, but, i just told you, Saints...so, if this is not what you have known before........now you do. The born again meet God as their Father. The unsaved, meet God as their Judge. On earth, all meet "reaping and sowing" for sin or "works of the flesh"..., so, be sure your deeds are not the type that are going to harvest a season of pain in your life. It will come for you, if you do. Your sin will find you out, and it will HURT YOU when it finds you. See, we as humans, we want to judge how WE see it. (self righteousness) But God's ways are higher then ours, as in as high as Heaven is from the earth, is how differently God's thinks and behaves, as compared to how we would try to do the same. WE, as humans, can't even grasp how a holy God would come to earth and die for the UNGODLY. So, that is why, many believers can't stand the fact that God's Grace continues to be the same, for people who are born again,, but who don't live a holy life. What we want to think about them, is that they deserve hell. Thats how we feel.... That's our flesh. That is how it reacts, against the Grace of God, at times. The more of a legalist you are, the more you will have these types of feelings and beliefs. The more you are like Jesus, the less of them, will you have. But God does not see it OUR way. He only sees HIS OWN as "through the Blood". Our flesh rebels at this........but that is not How God responds to THEM. They are His Blood bought Children, and He does not love them less because they are horrible people. He saved them knowing they would turn out to be rotten stinking Christians. But Christians they are, and to HIM they belong, as "new BIRTH", as the Blood Atonement.....decided this for them. To God, ALL sin is pardoned on the CROSS and offered as SALVATION. In fact, that He does not charge you for yours, as Christ has already died for them ALL, is explained in this NT verse. Romans 4:8. If you reader, have not studied this verse deeply, then you are lacking even a shallow understanding of Grace. And you need to study this one also..... Hebrews 13:9. AS if you don't follow that one, early in your born again "babe in Christ" experience, then you'll end up as a devout Legalist on a forum like this one at some point teaching Galatians 1:8. Really. So, sgain....about "losing Faith".... A weak analogy would be : a marriage contract. Say you are married, and your wife or husband hates you. Hates you......Despises you.....and wished you would die....they wish you were dead. Well, do their feelings and attitude and "heart condition" and "words" .... end the marriage? NO < because there is a contract that overrides their hate and words. So, its the same with the Blood of Jesus...It overrides all we do wrong, after we are saved, including what we SAY or DO. ""where SIN Abounds (in the LIFE OF A BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN), .. GRACE more abounds". "God who began your salvation in you, will HIMSELF be FAITHFUL to COMPLETE it". Philippians 1:6 "Jesus is the author and FINISHER of your FAITH" Hebrews 12:2 In other words, you can't out-sin Grace. Many try it, but it can't be done. You can only "fall away" from it, and become what Paul is describing in Galatians. ""are you so FOOLISH< (that you use to Trust Christ to keep you saved) , but now you are gone BACK into the (flesh) worrying about the 10 commandments, and the law, and lifestyle, as the WAY you keep yourself saved"? You are FALLEN.......(gotten away from),........"Fallen from GRACE." This is the Legalist. So, understand that "holding onto your faith", is not principally different then keeping the 10 commandments, regarding its inability to save you or keep you saved. A person says......"but my faith is what saved me". And the NT says...."no, God saved you, through your faith". And Jesus said while ON the Cross, "it if finished". A believer says.... "ummm, well, ok, faith does not save me, it's God through the Blood of Jesus who SAVED me.....I see, BUT....what if i fall out of faith". ????? What if you do? What if you don't. This does not stipulate or control or condemn the redemption that has happened to you. "New Birth". "New Creation IN CHRIST". Faith does not do this, it only allows GOD TO DO IT TO YOU, FOR YOU, through your Faith. HE DID iT. ITS DONE. .... if you are born again. Ok, well, there are Legalists that hate this understanding. They will hate my entire Post. They hate it, because it does not allow them to feel they are saving themselves, and that of course, is their problem. Their legalism has replaced real FAITH In Christ ALONE... and so, Now they have resorted to faith in their faith, or its faith in their works.,, or both. This is Legalism. Legalism is literally a person climbing up on the Cross in their self effort to keep themselves SAVED. The legalist, has replace Jesus with > SELF Faith< (what i have to DO)... to TRY to KEEP themselves saved. Thats their issue. This is the issue of Legalism. Paul wrote all about this, in Galatians. Find a lot more about it there....... So, It really does come down to one realization. Its not what you trusted to SAVE YOU< but its what you are trusting to KEEP YOU SAVED.....is the issue. AS right here is where a legalist "falls from Grace", and into "self saving." This is why the legalist can't talk about the Cross, can't talk about Grace, can't talk about the Blood of Jesus with joy or deep understanding...... and how could they?... They can only talk about THEIR savior...which is themselves, trying not to "lose it"....and here comes their list of "do's and don't does to keep themselves saved. ...........10 commandments, overcoming, enduring to the end, the Law, lifestyle, holding unto their faith... and their "saving myself" list just keeps going and going, ........... And what is not on their list, is the Cross or Jesus or the Blood. So, that is the Legalist. They are "fallen from Grace". Grace no longer has a part in their redemption, in THEIR Mind, but in God's perspective these are just people who lost the light and pride kept it turned off . If they were born again, then this is unchanged.......and thank God for that. --- And one more about......." quitting faith, losing faith, ...." Lets say a Christian born again mother has a 2 yr old, that is kidnapped and murdered. So, they catch the person, and he goes to prison for life. But, in her broken and devestated heart, she is asking "why", Why didn't God prevent this.. ?? !!!!! So she says, and means it.... ="" I HATE YOU GOD. BURN IN HELL JESUS> DIE HOLY SPIRIT, .. I hope Heaven BURNS with the Angels in it SCREAMING !!!!!!!!""""" Now do you see that? You are awake now....right? Do you really think that God is going to cast HIS Child of God into the Lake of Fire for eternity....for those words, and that attitude? Is God's love unconditional ? Is the Cross weak at Redemption? Jesus, who is GOD, said that He is ""touched with the FEELINGS of our FEELINGS"". He knows exactly why we feel what we feel, and why we behave like we behave. So....no....this hurting broken destroyed woman is not going into the Lake of fire because she is literally blaming and hating God, and will continue to.......and may die this way, as a broken heart can kill you.........if its broken enough. And if she dies....then she'll meet Jesus, and there is her little girl."mama",, "mama". Talk about happy tears........ So, why does God Hating mama not end up in the Lake of Fire is she dies hating Christ ??? Because this person belongs to God.. She was bought with a price. Redemption is not a temporary solution. Redemption is an Eternal forgiveness. She is "in Christ", and "Christ IN this woman is her hope of Glory". YET....Christians have this idea that God is some sort of anemic, sensitive, can't deal with anything...... vengeful, lightning bolts, revenge seeking, neurotic, emotional infant. But the fact is, God is Love and Love is God's Grace, and Grace is the Blood Atonement, and this is so strong and so eternal, that you cant wash the Blood Of Jesus off your born again spirit by a bad attitude or a mouthful of Hate or a lifetime of living in the flesh. Salvation, is an eternal blood bought contract between the Blood of Jesus and your initial Faith, that results in you going to heaven to be with the family that GOD Joined you to, and put you in, based on THE CROSS.....ALONE. Its because.... once you signed up with Faith, God signed you up with His Eternal Blood. God , is Jesus on the Cross.....shedding His blood to bring you HOME AND KEEP YOU THERE. This is GRACE. Therefore, when you are "atoned for" by God's blood, (GRACE) it does not become voided by hatred, backsliding, or anything we do, and that is because it is GOD who created the means of the CROSS to accept us, and once He does......then that is the final answer. "Accepted in the Beloved". Now here is a little bit more for you.... So, "Faith, faith, faith"., what if i lose my faith". Ok, there is a unique answer for that question also given in the NT. Its in Romans. "Whatsoever is not of FAITH is sin..." So, if you lose your faith, you have sinned. And Romans 4:8 says that God does not charge your SIN to you....after you are washed in the blood of Jesus....so, the "lost faith" sin, is just one more that is under that blanket of Blood, ... all washed clean.. White as snow.
  3. Gospel : Paul teaching = "preaching of the Cross". "we preach Christ Crucified"..."Jesus sent me not to baptize but to preach the Gospel".."faith comes by hearing this"..... So, all that, if believed by an unbeliever resolves an eternal issue...... What is the issue? What is God's purpose for coming to earth to die as Jesus The Christ on a Cross? What is He doing?...What is He alone solving, that all our 10 commandment keeping and holy lifestyle can never solve, which is WHY HE had to solve it? ? And right here is what is so often misunderstood, or not taught correctly, and this is why so many people who mean well, and love Jesus, or would like to love him, do not understand <>WHAT IS<> the actual reason that God came here to die. So what is that reason? The reason, is that keeping the law, the 10 commandments, and doing good works, confessing sin, and living as holy as we can, could not make us acceptable to God.. And here is the "catch 22".... It also can't AFTER you are saved. And right here is where "Legalism vs Grace" becomes the touchstone of constant fighting on forums, and everywhere else that it can show up where believers WILL clash. (Apparently this clash became such a long standing fight and fury on this forum that members here are barred from posting- fighting about it.) It is a fact and statement of the CROSS that the law and the 10 Commandments can't make you righteous, they can only show you that you are unrighteous., as that is the actual purpose of the Law, as well as outlining what God expects regarding our basic moral conduct & behavior, once we are born again. So, how can it be that half the body of Christ is trying to keep all this, all these works, and they believe that this is "keeping them saved". Whereas the other half of the body of Christ is trusting in Jesus to keep them saved. So, do you see the line in the sand? Its this " What is keeping you SAVED"....that is the minefield of theological confusion. THATS the fight. Legalism vs Grace. Its happening on every forum like this one, and its the reason for 5000 denominations that don't agree, and 300 bibles that don't agree. This issue started with Paul and his preaching of "justification by Faith" >alone, and he wrote the letter to the Galatians that talks about it, and explains it. 2000 yrs later, this issue of Legalism vs Grace is still a fist fight between those who say they are "Christians". Isn't it interesting to realize that if the 10 commandments, or lawkeeping, or living holy, could save you or keep you saved, if that were the truth, then Jesus could have stayed in Heaven and saved Himself some PAIN..... But ita not the case. Now im not certain what you have been taught, but i teach that you "present your body a living sacrifice" and you to "live holy as God is holy", not to save yourself or keep yourself saved, but because this is what you should do, and what God expects, .. because you ARE saved. The Legalist would argue that .."no, you do it to stay saved", and if you don't then you're not. I wonder, reader, what you believe. So, leaving all that now, lets just look at the problem that God had to come here and solve for us, as to look at this, is to understand the reason for Salvation which is to understand Salvation. Our problem we had, before we were saved, is only one thing, one issue only. And God Himself had to solve it, because we can't. We are born, and we get older, and we don't have any righteousness. None. And so, God can't accept us, because we are UNRIGHTEOUS. This is "lost", "unsaved"....hellbound = we don't have any RIGHTEOUSNESS< as all of ours, are "filthy rags". So, in steps SALVATION... Down from Heaven God as The Christ arrives... The Cross has been raised.... As God bleeding out on the "tree" has come down from Heaven to give us HIS righteousness so that He can accept us, based on THAT.......and for no other reason will He accept you, or me. God, literally became a man, and died on a Cross, to GIVE US "the righteousness of Christ". (God's very own righteousness). And that is what salvation actually is....Its God coming to earth to give us His righteousness so that HE can accept us, as by giving us His very righteousness, this makes us acceptable to God. Welcome to Salvation. Salvation is only.... "what makes you acceptable to God"....and that is one thing, its GOD'S Righteousness, becoming ours. A born again person, has literally BECOME "the righteousness of Christ", and Christ is GOD. To say that God's Grace is amazing, is really the least of what it is... How can you describe the wonder of God, dying to give you His righteousness in place of your unrighteousness, as a free Gift? Is there a word that can even claim to honor this spiritual transaction enough? Just one. LOVE. Agape` Love. God is LOVE blessings, <B><
  4. Jesus is the Holy Spirit. God is Jesus, "God was manifested in the Flesh" = Jesus 1 Timothy 3:16 "God is A Spirit" is the verse, vs some phony bibles that say "God is Spirit", .. so, check yours.....becasue "A" Spirit, is a specific TYPE....Its a HOLY One...."Holy Spirit". See, there is an UNHOLY Spirit, the spirit of "anti=Christ", and then there a "A" Spirit, (God is A Spirit), that designates for you the literal and clear distinction between Holy and unholy....so, if your bible says...."God is Spirit"< John 4:24 then get yourself a real bible that says.. "God is A Spirit". Very important. And also check and see if your bible says..."GOD was manifested in the Flesh" in 1 Timothy 3:26, as if it says, "He" instead of "God", then get rid of this bible, as its flawed, and not literally accurate. A flawed bible creates a flawed Christian. Thats a fact. The Holy Spirit is the "comforter" and Jesus is the "Prince of Peace". The Holy Spirit gives you comfort, and this is the "God kind". Jesus said, "My peace , (MY SPECIFIC TYPE OF PEACE), This is the Holy Spirit)... The peace I give is NOT as the (spirit of the world) gives,".. John 14: 27.... because Christ's peace IS the Holy Spirit, The Comforter... which is a heavenly peace. THIS Spirit, is God's, and it is the One that "fills you", and it is the one that "indwells you" only if you are born again, as this is the reason you are born again, and this is why the NT says that "if you don't have the Spirit of God, ( Holy Spirit indwelling you) then you are none of God's", you are not born again, and you are not saved. Romans 8:9 The Peace of God is not "happiness" , its a deep wellness in the soul. Its a comfort that is deeper then feelings. Its supernatural. This is the peace of God, Himself, that comes to live in a person the INSTANT they "Believe on the Lord and you SHALL BE SAVED",= right then.....and this is why many cry and cry when this happens, because this peace heals broken hearts. This peace heals wounded souls. This indwelling of the peace of God, which IS the Love of God, fills the emptiness, and this peace replaces addiction, lust, greed, envy, pride, hate, with self control.... and fills the human heart with contentment. AS ALL THIS is the indwelling fruit of the Holy Spirit. ( Jesus the Vine into us the Branches) Its the "God Effect" that comes to live inside a born again Person. Its the "Kingdom of God" that enters you as you enter INTO it. Colossians 1:13 = BORN AGAIN
  5. I wanted to talk to you about your Salvation, which is your personal and private relationship with God. Maybe you are not enjoying it. Maybe its become a dead weight in your heart, that gives no joy, no life, and no hope. Many Christians are exactly like this. They have long ago trusted the Lord, they are born again, and yet, over time, what use to be LIFE in them is now a slow torture. Almost a misery. So, let me talk to you about this, and lets easily solve this so that you can once again know how it use to be when you were first saved, and life was BRAND NEW, and all you wanted to do was have more of God. Remember ? To get back THERE........is very easy to do. Its not a slow progression back. And in fact, i want you to see this picture in your mind.... Take a look... You see a path that is leading across a pretty field, and at the end of the path is a yard, and a small white cottage stands in the yard. Its in the early evening, not quite dark, its Springtime and there are candles burning in the windows. In all the windows, there are candles glowing a golden glow. The brown wooden front door is wide open, and standing on the porch, by the open door, all dressed in white is Jesus. Its Jesus. He is standing there. He is looking across the yard, and into the path. He is looking at you because you stopped just before you walked across the yard to Him. You can see His face. He is smiling gently at you. You notice that His arms are open as if to give you a warm hug. Then you see what you really didnt expect. You see that Jesus has tears in His Eyes. In His eyes are tears. These tears are for you. These are tears of longing, and hope, and joy, because He has wanted you to come home, and has been waiting, and waiting, and waiting.... And now you are there. So... Go to the Lord. Go Home. - - Ok, if you are away from the Lord for a while, there are generally only a few reasons. One, is that you have been sinning, and you feel so guilty and condemned in your heart. Two, is that you have some bitterness in your life. Maybe a divorce. Maybe someone you loved died. Maybe you are just very unhappy with your life. Its such a struggle. But what you are feeling is that you blame God. You blame Jesus. You are angry at them.. Three, Maybe a Christian has hurt you. Maybe a church has greatly disappointed you. Maybe both, and you are just not wanting to be a part of any of this, anymore. Now there are other things i can list, but, ive learned that most of us, when we are not close to the Lord, ... its because of those 3, so, no matter what your reason might be, ..being away from the Lord is the same empty feeling, its the same sense of no direction and no hope, yet its so very easy to solve this situation, whatever it is, that is keeping you away from God who loves you. So, How do you get back? Well this is very simple. You see that picture i gave you? You see that Jesus? He is there all the time, just like that. And yet what we do sometimes, is we dont see Him like this when we are not close to God and Christ. Instead we see our feelings, our disappointments...... we feel our guilty condemnation... and our bad feelings lead us to believe that God is upset with us, and in fact, He is not. God is Love, you see. And the only thing He will ever do or feel, towards His Child, which you are, is to feel Love towards you. God's only thoughts toward you, His Child, are good thoughts. God only and always wants the best for you. God is love, and that is all He ever has to give you. And this love, is expressed into your life and into your heart as His favor, blessing, peace, hope, power, self control, and Love. Now, i listed 3 reasons that might be the reason you are not as close to the Lord as you were once. And if you are reading this, it could be because you are someone who feels that God is so distant and you are so unworthy. And.... no matter the reason, or the reasons, and no matter how you feel...... God is always at the door, waiting for you. Jesus is never going to turn you away. He will never require you to do anything so that He would accept you or love you. God's love is REAL LOVE, because it is unconditional. You see, God loves you, because that is what He does....That is who He is.... And His Love's only requirement is that you Let Him Love You. And THAT, my brother or my sister,..... is how you return to God and Christ. You realize His Love and you allow It for yourself. You allow it for yourself.... And when you do, and as soon as you do, you will feel His presence, and you will know it. And no matter what you have done, or what you have felt, if you will just see Jesus, standing at the door, looking at you, ... then you can understand How God Loves YOU. Let God love you. Allow God to Love you...... He is still waiting...... always. <B><
  6. I wanted to show you something, that might be a huge revelation to someone with a sincere heart, who has not realized an unfortunate fact regarding their own personal (Christian) belief system. Lets do the math. It works out like this...... What is your personal Savior ???? Let me show you a few worldwide favorites that wont work out, in the end.. ---------------------------- A person says......"we believe that salvation is the Cross, but that you can "fall away" and be lost. A.) The savior is always what YOU BELIEVE KEEPS YOU SAVED. So, in this case, the Savior to this person has become...>"not falling away". So, where did the Cross go? or, A person says.....>"he who endures to the end, the same shall be saved". A.) for this person, their Savior is "ENDURING to the end". So, where did the Cross go? or, A person says.....> "As long as you hold unto your FAITH, you are still saved". A.) for this person, holding unto their faith is their personal Savior. So, where did the Cross go? or, A person says....> "As long as i KEEP ON working out my salvation with fear and trembling, i stay saved. A.) this person is trusting in their lifestyle as their personal Savior. So, where did the Cross go? or, A person says...."As long as i dont apostatize or backslide, i stay saved. A.) This person is trusting in keeping themselves from apostatizing or backsliding as their personal Savior. So, where did the Cross go? Now see how that works? In all 5 cases the MATH seems good, but the end result is DEVOUT LEGALISM. This is Christ rejection pretending its the Faith that God accepts. Paul wrote the letter to the Galatians to expose it. The end result : is that all these types have "fallen from Grace". The end result : is that all these people have replaced the CROSS with what they are to DO, as their particular heretical method to try keep themselves saved.
  7. "Study to show thyself approved unto GOD", is the way God teaches you to "rightly divide the word of God". So, here we go. Lets do a bible study that "compares scripture with scripture". ----- Let tart with Ephesians 2:15 that teaches that the Law is Abolished by Christ//Cross. Then you can follow up with Colossians 2:14 which explains it again. Next, go to 2nd Corinthians 3:7 2nd Corinthians 3:11 and you'll read where the "stone" commandments, the law, are now described as ministers of "death", that they administer DEATH, (not life) and the "stone" commandments are obviously the 10 Commandments. So, you have all of this "abolished" on the Cross, in the FLESH of Jesus, as stated in the New Testament. Then, you have the verse that tells you that you are "no longer UNDER the Law" Romans 6:14. And also we are shown in Romans 3:21, that our Salvation - Redemption, (Righteousness) is APART from the Law, and not connected to the Law. Be sure to understand this phase....."our righteousness is APART from the LAW". This is because our righteousness is.. "we are MADE the righteousness of God > thru CHRIST". Be sure to realize clearly the word "MADE", in this verse... 2 Corinthians 5:21 Now, All this is simply teaching us, that before we were born again, we were being Judged by the law, but now we are not, because Jesus has abolished all this by His Blood and by His Cross. We are now "under Grace", and this means the law has no more power to judge us as sinners, because the Blood of Jesus has taken its place and this is explained in Romans 10:4, where you are shown that "Christ is the end of the LAW.........> for righteousness." Now did you get that part that says....."Christ is the end of the Law"? And who is Christ?......Isn't He God? So, when you want to be righteous, you have to deal only with the one who is THE END of the Law......and that is God, who is Christ. And here is the 2nd part of this understanding of How Christ as God has removed the Law - commandments, from us .. Romans 8:2......Which says that Jesus has established another and final law for righteousness, that makes you free from the law of commandments......which are described as DEATH. 2 Corinthians 3:7 and are not gone. 2 Corinthians 3:11 This new law that a born again believer exists WITHIN, "in Christ", is explained by the verse, Romans 8:2like this.. > through Christ Jesus, the law of the Spirit who gives life,....= has set you free from the law of sin and death. (commandments and Law). The law of sin and death is the Commandments-Law that no longer have the power to judge you and condemn you as UNHOLY, before God, IF you are born again. If you are not, then the law is still in effect, judging you as Lost - Unsaved, Damned, currently. John 3:36 Understand that The law (10 commandments) itself has no ability to do anything, but show you your sin and your sinfulness........as it can only JUDGE YOU as guilty before God, till Christ redeems you from the "curse of the Law"... Galatians 3:13 That is why it was created by God. To (judge us) = reveal our sinfulness, in comparison with God's Holiness. And its because of the Law, (commandments) that we understand that we are not Holy, and from this understanding the scripture tells us that what the Law is doing for us, is "become our schoolmaster that LEADS us or shows us our NEED to be saved... Galatians 3:24 ""Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith." So, as you can READ, the law-commandments is not given to save you, its given to show you YOUR NEED to be saved by the SAVIOR, Christ Jesus. Understand? And the reason this verse says..."WAS our schoolmaster" is because its no longer in effect, to judge us, as we are "not under the law, but UNDER GRACE". The Law, is designed to prove our "fallen state"...and did...and that we need to correct this, Galatians 3:24 and that is Why God as Jesus The Christ came.....He came to correct our "lost condition" that is REVEALED to us by the LAW Galatians 3:24 that shows us what we are, AS COMPARED, to God's Holiness. Understand? Listen....its the law - 10 commandments -= that show you your lost condition, your fallen condition, your unholy condition. > Its PURPOSE. That is why God gave it to you. The Law-10 commandments is a reflection of God's holiness, that reveals to you your unholiness, and does this not to save you, but to LEAD you to the SAVIOR.........leads you to God's Grace, which is God on a Cross paying for your sin, so that He can Accept you if you BELIEVE...... And to be accepted by God, through the Cross, is SALVATION, is the GRACE OF GOD......is the Blood Atonement, is REDEMPTION. Galatians 3:24 shows you where you need to go to get SAVED. Now, were the confusion often comes in , = regarding the Law-commandments and how Legalists misuse it against Grace..... > A legalist believes that by keeping the law, (commandments) they are keeping themselves saved. They do not understand the purpose of the Law and Commandments...... Galatians 3:24. nor do they accept it, when they are told. So for the legalist, keeping the Law and Commandments, has become THE WAY they believe they maintain God's acceptance-approval of them. Paul, in Galatians says, that they are "in the flesh", and have "fallen from Grace". The idea of a born again person being "in the flesh", as it's explained in Galatians, is that they do not believe or Trust that Jesus keeps them saved, so they have "gone back", ... they have left their In Christ alone Faith, and are now trusting in themselves to stay saved, by keeping commandments and worrying about the LAW. Understand that Trusting in commandment keeping - law keeping... to be accepted by God, is rejecting (Grace) ... God's ONLY method for you to be accepted by Him. God's acceptance of a person is only through the CROSS... is "Grace"... but the Legalist has gone away from this, (fallen from it),(fallen from Grace) and they are now trusting in the self effort of commandment-law keeping.....as their way they believe that God will accept them, if they continue doing it, and this is why they only talk about the law and commandments on forums like this one. They can't talk about Grace, because they are "fallen from Grace". Understand? Paul teaches that this reverting back to trusting in laws and commandments instead of ONLY trusting in Christ to save you and keep you saved....(Grace) is to be "in the flesh". Now this verse is key......Galatians 3:3....>Paul is asking a Legalist....."are you so foolish that after you have been redeemed by Christ's Blood alone, (Grace) that you now turn from this and go back and trust the Law AND KEEPING THE 10 COMMANDMENTS to keep you saved"? (Fallen from Grace) See it? Most Legalist can't, and dont care to look, actually. Also... A born again person, OSAS... recognizes the 10 commandments and many other similar bible "don't do's", that we obey everyday, because we understand these are our boundaries, regarding our behavior., and when the bible tells us to "be holy as God is holy", then we understand that the Holiness of God, is shown as the 10 commandments, etc. So, living our lives within these boundaries, is wisdom, is protection. But what its not, (Keeping the 10 commandments and The Law) is NOT our Salvation or our Redemption. We understand Galatians 3:24 We OSAS, understand that we are "no longer under the law but are under GRACE", Romans 6:14 which means that for the born again, the 10 commandments and the Law are only our HOLY guidelines that we are to realize that God provided...= as our (Christian Discipleship) lifestyle - behavioral boundaries... = They are not able to redeem us, but they protect us from the consequences of living outside them. So, we don't. Finally... So, what is the difference in interpretation between someone who understands Grace, OSAS.... and someone who does not understand it, or has fallen from it, the Legalist, when both think about and recognize the Law and the 10 Commandments. ?>?? Well, the OSAS, understands that we are to realize and obey the 10 commandments ONLY as our behavioral boundaries... our Lifestyle boundary.......and to live outside them, to break them by our behavior, is to harm our lives and this also displease God. But, we understand that these same 10 commandments and other Laws, have no power to redeem us, or make us right with God, or keep us saved. OSAS, understands and BELIEVES that = Only the shed Blood of God as Jesus on the Cross has the power to save, to keep you saved, and to cleanse you from all your sin, continually. This is Redemption, and the Law and the 10 Commandments, can't ever do this.....not ever. The Legalist, on the other hand, keeps the law and 10 commandments, for all of those same LIFESTYLE reasons, but they also trust these laws and commandments as their way to be SAVED and to Stay saved, instead of ONLY trusting in Christ alone for Redemption. Understand that if you don't also trust Christ and Christ alone to keep you saved, then you are not trusting in Christ, at all.
  8. Maybe someone reading this is not so happy, and needs a hug. So, If i might give you some thoughts that could possibly be a new set of "new eyes" for you. First, life is hard. Its difficult. Life tends to be a test that just keeps on testing, and it can be so tiring. At one point the Apostle Paul was just sick of it all, and wanted to go and be with Jesus and the Father and the Saints and the Host of Heaven, but He decided to stay here instead as He knew it was "More needful"..really mattered that He stayed, as the "Church" was still brand new and needed Him so much. But Paul was tired of "life".....the grind...and so, also there is this fact.. "Jesus is touched with the feelings of our sad feelings". He lived here as a Man, God became ONE OF US.....and so He understands exactly how it feels to be in this world and in this Life. Your NT says something that you'll probably never hear a preacher preach, but i'll tell you. It says that "Jesus learned obedience by the things He SUFFERED"... down here. And that is Jesus the MAN, being on this earth, dealing with LIFE< just like we do, and that is why He is so filled with compassion for us always......that he understands exactly what makes us feel, what we feel. I live in Israel, and i live sometimes in the States, and ive walked where The Lord has walked, and its HOT in the SUMMER where He always had to walk, where he LEARNED all about TIRED and Thirsty. Jesus is touched with the feelings we feel, my brothers and my sisters. Jesus KNOWS your NAME. God KNOWS your NAME. Everything we feel,......= God, as Christ has also felt, yet without sinning. And because God is touched by our grief and our pain and our frustrations......we should come to understand that He understands us perfectly when we pray, and He is able to give us comfort where we need it the most. God gives us grace for LIFE...for these TESTS....regarding the fact that Life is a test. So, = When you need more Grace, when you need more help from God, then lean on Him more. Spend more time with Him,.... as His Grace that is His power to lift you up and out of tests and trouble, is more generous and readily available when you spend more time with Him. Really. You've heard this...>"god helps those who helps themselves"...? well, thats not really exactly how it works., tho it is true that we function within the natural and God functions within and outside the Natural Realm. It is true that we do all we can, then God takes it from there. Yes, thats true... Its true that God rewards effort, but its also true that end results we leave to GOD. So, when you want more Help, you give God more of you. When you need more help, then give God more of yourself. When you give Him all of you.......ahhh, there is the final answer, isn't it? Works every time. So its more true to say..>"God helps those who need more help from Him". Thats actually how Christianity works, for our benefit. When we are WEAK, then God is Strong in us, for us, and through us. When we get down on our knees, then God LIFTS US UP. God makes something out of nothing, and the reality is, as compared to God, we are all quite nothing ....... And , ....everyone has seasons in their life that are not what we would choose, and we are stuck in them. Take heart, because, everything changes. Life IS Change...and whatever you are feeling that is making you unhappy.....It will change also, so be ready for the next.....as Life is always..the next and the next change, and for the Believer, we have God with us because He is IN US. So, no matter what, He will always work out whatever is going wrong, and recreate this for us, as a benefit. Every season of time we are going through , if bad, then God will make it a benefit for us....and if Good, then God will make it a benefit for us. All in time. God is really good at everything He created, and He created it all. 3 specific things He really does well are : 1.) Redeem the lost for eternity with the Blood of His Son. 2.) Change hard circumstances in our personal lives that we need Him to RESOLVE so that we can have peace again, and hope again, and LIFE again. 3.) Making our dreams a reality. He is really good at all of these, Saint Your bible teaches that God "thinks on you"....This means He literally thinks about all of His Children. US. And you know this must be true... we know it is, because this is our Heavenly Father, who Gave His Son for us. We matter to Him....that much. And let me tell you......there is no love like His that you can find down here, as this is God loving you, and its not like what we find with our family, friends, wife, husband, children, pets. its better, its bigger, its wider, its deeper, its more fulfilling, and its eternal. God's love is truly unaffected by our behavior, and is always unconditional. God is Love. Also, we are all in it together, all stuck down here, as Believers, waiting for something good that is soon coming. What is coming is JESUS and us leaving this place with HIM. And we are all going to leave it, if we are born again. But the BEST News is, what is on the other side is not like this place. Its going to be SO GOOD., and it will NEVER EVER END. Finally, Let me ask you a question. Whatever it is that is keeping you from being as happy today as you want to be.. that seems so important to you today..... Well, in 1,000,000 ...On Million Years from now, you will be alive, and you will be with God and Christ and me, and all the born again believers here,.... and so...A million years from now, as you are enjoying God and all He has for us that we are waiting for....A million years from now, do you think you will care THEN about what it is that you are caring about now?.....Will it matter to you then? Will it matter to you.......then ? Thats something to consider, anytime you find the cares of this life are causing you some pain.
  9. The reality is........The Blood of Christ has already cleansed our Sin.....all of it.....>Tomorrow's included. "Where SIN abounds...Grace moreso Abounds".... = means....when you sin, after you are saved, the Blood Atonement has already paid for that one ALSO.... It means that when you sin a year from now, on a Monday morning, just before you come here to argue about OSAS, and you sin....THE CROSS has already taken care of that one also. Realize the revelation that something that happened 2000 years ago on a CROSS, is still your Salvation 20 yrs from NOW ! If a Legalist could actually comprehend that you can't out-sin the BLOOD of CHRIST, that this blood, has actively and permanently SOLVED your "sin" issue, then what a happy Christian they would be, as then they could actually Trust Christ, totally., and not just partly, and then they have to work the rest of their way into heaven. This is why Jesus died for you. Its what He's doing on the Cross. He is Paying for (cleansing) our sin, from us, by dying FOR IT ALL. Amazing how many people who claim to be Christians can't even begin to comprehend SALVATION. Legalists don't understand that the CROSS is a completed work (Blood Atonement), so, they reach into the bible with eyes closed, and never care to learn or realize that not every verse is aimed at a born again believer. Now, for those of you who have not been taught anything about your NT, or your bible in general..... Scriptures in the NT, and OT< are sometimes literal, sometimes symbolic, and sometimes allegorical....in meaning. For example, "all who call on the name of Jesus, shall be SAVED"...is literal. But, "take this cup, as its the blood of the New Covenant"...... this can't be LITERAL, as Jesus's blood is still in HIS BODY, when He's drinking the cup. See it? ? A legalist does not understand that "where there is no law, there is no transgression".....as "Christ has ABOLISHED THE LAW"..... is in the NT, reader. Ephesians 2:15 A legalist, reads Romans 4:8, where they are told that God does not hold them accountable, for sin...(impute)....... and they just ignore this and run back to Hebrews, a book-letter not written to the CHURCH, but to UNSAVED JEWS...... and then they get lost in it. And why LEGALIST,..... does God not hold you accountable, in Eternity, for your sin that you do tomorrow and next week? A.) Because God already held Jesus accountable on the CROSS for them ALL. Understand? as this is so so important for you to understand. A Legalist will take a verse out of Matthew, given before Jesus was on the Cross, that is not NT doctrine for the Blood Bought Redeemed Church, and use this verse out of context to prove to themselves they can "lose it".(Their Salvation) A Legalist thinks they are in Christ, then fall out of Christ when they sin, and if they confess = do penance or whatever other deeds they can come up with, they get back INTO Christ. However, Christ has contradicted you, as He said "I will never leave you or forsake you"...so, "Christ in you, the hope of Glory", is a fact, that you need to start believing. A Legalist actually believes they are saved untill they sin, then confess, and are saved again, ... as if Salvation is a type of Yo-Yo, of sinning confessing, sinning confessing, sinning confessing.....up down, up down.,... kinda crazy, isn't it? And all of this confusion and chaos is not only the misunderstanding the Blood Atonement, its also not giving FULL Credit DUE to the finished work of Jesus on the Cross.... and that is the REAL issue, for the Legalist.
  10. Legalism, is Galatians 1:8. Its very specific, and here is how you should understand it. Its when a person's belief system regarding Salvation, is that "Justification by Faith, ALONE", means to them, that they must add their self righteous works TO IT.....to complete it. Legalism means, that a person believes that Salvation is the Cross + Their Christian Discipleship (Their Works)....... In other words, they pretend that The Blood Atonement is God's Salvation, but what they really believer and argue about and teach, is that the Blood Atonement, is only a part of Redemption, and their WORKS, and yours, COMBINED< is what God accepts to save you, and keep you saved. Legalism is the heresy that teaches that The Blood of Christ + Works, is Redemption. = Galatians 1:8 Legalism is pretzel logic, that tries to corrupt the words of James, in an effort to subvert the doctrine of "Justification by Faith", that Jesus gave to Paul, personally. Now, what is the NT idea - explanation, regarding "self righteous"?? Its that a person is trying, by their works, deeds, effort, and enduring, to make themselves right with God, either before they are born again, or they are trying to maintain their Salvation, by their works, deeds, effort, and enduring, AFTER they are already saved. So, what you need to understand, is that a.... Works + The Cross = Salvation theology, .....Legalism......is actually trodding underfoot the Holy Blood of Christ, because this person, this theology, is actually teaching that Christ's Blood is not quite enough, and that "works" are needed to finish the Atonement. Legalism, disrespects and insults The Holy Spirit and The Blood of Christ, by teaching that a person's works are in some way of equal value, and need to be combined with God's Blood shed on a Cross for Salvation to be completed in a person's life. = Galatians 1:8
  11. Jesus isn't a Catholic. Neither is Paul. Also, think of every denomination you can think of, then add in 2500 more you dont know about. Jesus and Paul are none of those........also. Jesus and Paul do not belong to a man made denomination. But you do, or have. Its interesting that we are told to "not forsake the assembling of ourselves together"< but we are not told to join a denomination. There is the concept of a Local Church, revealed in the NT, but its never given a BRAND NAME. All that came later, as men moved in, took over, and created DENOMINATIONS. Also... IF you are born again, you've already joined the "one true Church", which is the literal, spiritual, body of Christ........that is not made with hands., but is made with The Blood of God as Jesus dying on a Cross. So, is "organized religion", (denominations), the local church, good for you? It can be great for you, and your family, but, the sticking point, is, that NT doctrine, as "sound doctrine" is always sound, of itself..... but the way it is taught in "church", is often man made reinvention. = Carnal bible twisting mania. The only thing the Devil loves more then 5000 denominations that dont agree with each other's theology, (he had a hand in this).....are 380 "New versions" of the BIBLE, that have changed verses, removed "sound" doctrine, and often try to leave God out, whenever possible. Satan loves this. LOVES it. So, how do you know if your church is a mess, and is not walking in the Light, as Jesus is the Light? It all comes down to how they teach Salvation. It all comes down to each denomination's personal explanation of GRACE. Understand Saint, that if they get this wrong, then everything else is wrong, also. And if you belong to a church that has substituted works for Grace, then you are wrong also., and they did it to you. So, how do you check all this, to find out if you are in a poisonous religious cult, or if you are in a place where God reigns and the Holy Spirit is active? ??? First, you have to understand that Jesus is Grace. JESUS is Eternal Life. Jesus is Salvation.... Jesus is the author and finishers of YOUR FAITH. Hebrews 12:2. And because Jesus is "Christ in you, the hope of Glory", and you are "IN Christ"", and have become the very "righteousness of Christ", if you are born again.... If you know all this, and believe all this, and TRUST all this and not in yourself to keep yourself saved.. You will also have to come to the truth of the revelation that God began your salvation and HE will finish it. Philippians 1:6 = You have to come to a place in your theological mastery where you understand GRACE is a free gift, that Salvation is a free gift, and you no longer worry about losing your salvation, or still believe you have to keep yourself saved. (Legalism) (Galatians 1:8) Saint, you have to come to the revelation, that, if i ask you, "what are you trusting in, to get you to heaven""".... your only and final answer, is "JESUS." And until you are there, completely certain..... until you have the revelation of "Grace without works"..... Then you will always answer...."well, I trust in Jesus, BUT".........but....but......but.....but".... = Fail. So, until you come to understand and truly believe that Jesus and Jesus alone saved you and will get you into heaven, then you are lost in the deceitful maze of "who is right"...>"who is lying"...."how do i know", and worst deceit of all.. "you can lose your salvation". God help you to believe, His Truth, according to His Grace.....alone.
  12. The Cross This is the cross, both just and true, That I should give My life for you. More than tears and blood alone, More than a life or broken bones. Through the pain, beyond all fear, I took those steps to make it clear. The Father’s love, so deep and wide, That He would give His Son to die: To suffer loss and feel despair… To lead the way and meet you there. A place of peace and joy abounding: Many a voice in praise resounding. It was for you, I bled and cried… The curtain rent to open wide. That you may come into My throne, And know My Father as your own. The price of sin and death was paid, When on the cross My life I gave. But now you must stand up and run, From sin and strife, deceptive ‘fun’. Into My light and joy and peace… Now is the time: Proclaim Release. (originally given to me in 2003)
  13. A Cross the Bible in Typology: Romans 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. The word "figure" in the Koine Greek TR, is [G5179], "τυπος", "tupos", or in English, "Type". Tupos = type, pattern. Strong's G5179 - https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang...gs=G5179&t=KJB See Romans 5:14 KJB, Adam was the "figure" of Him who was to come. See 1 Corinthians 10:6,11 KJB "ensample/s" is the tupos, of that which we are to learn from, the "pattern". Skia = shadow, not the substance. Strong's G4639 - https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang...gs=G4639&t=KJB See Colossians 2:17 KJB, shadow of the types, see Hebrews 10:1 KJB See Hebrews 8:5 KJB, earthly priests and High Priests, but a type pointing to Christ Jesus own Priesthood and High Priesthood See Hebrews 10:1 KJB, shadow of the types, see Colossians 2:17 KJB AntiTupos = antitype, reality which is greater than the type/shadow. Strong's G499 - https://www.blueletterbible.org/lang...ngs=G499&t=KJB See Hebrews 9:24 KJB: “For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, [which are] the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:" see also 1 Peter 3:21 KJB. This is repeated in 1 Corinthians 15:44-47 - 1 Corinthians 15:44 It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. 1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit. 1 Corinthians 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual. 1 Corinthians 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven. Adam: Adam (Genesis 1:26, "אדם", "ADM", Adam) is thus the "first man", and Jesus Christ is the "last Adam" (1 Corinthians 15:45), "the second man" (1 Corinthians 15:47), being "the LORD (ie. Kurios, the JEHOVAH Immanuel, JEHOVAH Jesus) from heaven." Adam the first was a unique son of God (Luke 3:38) (created), and the second man, the last Adam, Jesus is a unique Son of God (Matthew 14:33, 16:16; John 10:30, etc) (unCreated and Eternal only begotten of the Father, though His earthly body was created (Hebrews 10:5)). Adam was given "dominion" (Genesis 1:26,28; Micah 4:8) and Jesus likewise (Psalms 110:1; Daniel 7:14; Matthew 22:44, 28:28; Mark 12:36; Luke 10:22, 20:43; John 17:2; Ephesians 1:21; Hebrews 1:13, 10:13, etc). Adam begins with glorious body of flesh (Psalms 8:5) and through sin, the light goes out and is left naked, and ashamed (Genesis 3:10) with sinful fallen flesh (Romans 8:3), and Christ Jesus is born (Luke 1:35) of Mary (flesh; John 3:6) by the Holy Ghost (spirit), begins with the likeness of fallen sinful flesh (does not make Him a sinner, see 1 John 3:4) as we have (Matthew 1:1-18; Luke 3:23-38; John 7:42; Romans 1:3; 2 Timothy 2:8; Hebrews 2:16, etc.), but becomes glorified (permanently) when Resurrected (John 12:16, 17:5; Acts 3:13; Philippians 3:21; Revelation 1:13-20, etc). Adam went to sleep on the 6th day (Genesis 2:21) and Jesus went to sleep on the 6th day (Matthew 28:6; Mark 15:37,39; Luke 23:46). Adam was to keep the 7th day with God (Mark 2:27; Genesis 2:1-3; Exodus 20:8-11, etc), Jesus kept the 7th Day (Luke 4:16; Mark 2:27-28), even in death (Luke 23:54-56, 24:1-2). Adam's side was opened (Genesis 2:21) and Jesus' side was opened (John 19:34; 1 John 5:6,8). From the side of Adam comes his bride/wife, Eve, bone of his bones, flesh of his flesh (Genesis 2:21-25) and from the side of Christ Jesus comes the church (Ephesians 5:22-33). Adam was in a garden (Genesis 2:7-8) and Jesus was in several gardens (Genesis 3:8; John 18:1,26, 19:41; Revelation 2:7). Adam has many sons and daughters (Genesis 5:4) and Jesus (true Israel; Matthew 2:13-15; Hosea 11:1) has many sons and daughters (Hebrews 2:9-18 (vs 13); Isaiah 8:8-20 (vs 18)). Adam died (Genesis 2:17; Psalms 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8; Genesis 5:5) because of sin and Jesus died because of our sins (Revelation 5:6,12, 13:8; Matthew 28:6; Mark 15:37,39; Luke 23:46; 2 Corinthians 5:21). Adam was cast out of the garden into a wilderness (Genesis 3:24) and Jesus overcame in a wildernes to enter the Garden (Matthew 4:1; Mark 1:13; Luke 4:1). Adam was made in the "image of God" (Genesis 1:26-27), Jesus is the "express image" of His Father (Hebrews 1:3). Adam came death upon all men (1 Corinthians 15:21-22), Jesus came the resurrection to eternal life to all who would believe (1 Corinthians 15:21-22). Adam gave names (Genesis 2:20), Jesus gave names (Genesis 17:5,15, 32:28, 35:10; 2 Samuel 12:25; Nehemiah 9:7; Matthew 4:18; Mark 3:16,17; Luke 6:14, etc.) Adam and the tree (Genesis 2:16,17), Jesus and the tree (Deuteronomy 21:22-23; Acts 5:30, 10:39, 13:29; Galatians 3:13; 1 Peter 2:24, etc.). Adam was naked for sin (Genesis 3:10), Jesus was naked for our sins (Hebrews 12:2). Adam and the slain lamb (Genesis 3:21; Revelation 13:8), Jesus is the Lamb slain for Adam (John 1:29, 36; 1 Corinthians 5:7; Revelation 5:6, 13:8). Adam and the two types (Cain (wicked/lost) and Abel (righteous (by faith)/saved); Genesis 4:1-17), Jesus and the two types also (Sheep and Goats (Matthew 25:31-46), Wheats and Tares (Matthew 13:24-30,38), Wise and Foolish (Matthew 25:1-13)). Adam tempted (Genesis 3:6) (lost/found), Jesus tempted (Matthew 4:1, 22:18; Mark 12:5; Luke 4:2, 20;23, etc) (victorious) (John 16:33). Adam priest of the house (Genesis 3:5; Exodus 4:16; Deuteronomy 10:17; Joshua 22:22; Psalms 82:1,6, 95:3, 97:7, 136:2, 138:1; Daniel 2:47, 11:36; John 10:34-35), Jesus high priest over all the house (whose house are we)(Hebrews 3:1, 4:14-15, 5:5, 6:20, 7:26. 8:1,3, 9:11, 10:21). The Word of God reveals Christ Jesus from Alpha to Omega, Beginning to End, from First to Last, from Genesis to Revelation, "in the volume of the book [it is] written of me." There are not only hundreds of prophecies concerning Jesus Christ, in not only His first coming, but also his second coming and third coming to this earth, but beyond even these are myriads of wonderful typologies in the very lives of the people written of in the scriptures themselves. In fact, the vast majority of the New Testament is written indeed by Jews who believed, Matthew, Mark, John, Paul, Peter, Jude, James (Jacob) and even a Gentile (Luke) who gathered his information from Jewish sources and eyewitnesses. The scriptures that were even then, the Tanakh (aka Old Testament) themselves testify of Christ (Messias) Jesus, as pointed out in the New Testament: Deuteronomy 18:15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the LORD of hosts. Acts 3:22 For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. Acts 7:37 This is that Moses, which said unto the children of Israel, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear. Psalms 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book [it is] written of me, Hebrews 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God. Matthew 1:22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Matthew 2:15 And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Matthew 2:17 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, Matthew 2:23 And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene. Matthew 4:14 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Matthew 8:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare [our] sicknesses. Matthew 11:10 For this is [he], of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. Matthew 12:17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Matthew 13:35 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world. Matthew 21:24 All this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, Matthew 26:24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. Matthew 26:31 Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. Matthew 26:54 But how then shall the scriptures be fulfilled, that thus it must be? Matthew 26:56 But all this was done, that the scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled. Then all the disciples forsook him, and fled. Matthew 27:9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value; Matthew 27:35 And they crucified him, and parted his garments, casting lots: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, They parted my garments among them, and upon my vesture did they cast lots. Mark 1:2 As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee. Mark 9:12 And he answered and told them, Elias verily cometh first, and restoreth all things; and how it is written of the Son of man, that he must suffer many things, and be set at nought. Mark 12:10 And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner: Mark 14:21 The Son of man indeed goeth, as it is written of him: but woe to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! good were it for that man if he had never been born. Mark 14:27 And Jesus saith unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep shall be scattered. Luke 3:4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. Luke 4:21 And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears. Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These [are] the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and [in] the prophets, and [in] the psalms, concerning me. Luke 24:46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: John 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph. John 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. John 19:28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. Acts 17:2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures, Acts 17:3 Opening and alleging, that Christ must needs have suffered, and risen again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach unto you, is Christ. Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so. Acts 18:28 For he mightily convinced the Jews, [and that] publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ. Acts 26:22 Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come: Acts 28:23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into [his] lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and [out of] the prophets, from morning till evening. Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. Hebrews 5:6 As he saith also in another [place], Thou [art] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
  14. The reason a believer would not have eternal confidence that they are going to heaven, subsequent to (following) their Salvation, is because no one has truly taught them how to understand Salvation. See, there are a lot of ways to teach "Salvation", but there is only on True Way to teach it, and to understand it. To begin with...... many have the idea that Salvation is..... "i heard the gospel, believed it, and i trusted in Christ". Ok, thats true........ but how did THAT make certain that you are going to heaven?.........So, THIS is what so many of you were not taught, after you were born again, and so many find themselves going along for the rest of their born again lives pulling daisies and asking themselves....."did i lose it, .....did i confess it back........did i lose it again.........did i confess it back.........did i lose it.........do i need to go back to the alter for the 17th time and get "re-saved"....do i need to do a penance.... do i need to find a priest and tell him all so that he can make me right with God, again..........and so on, and on and on, and on, and on, on on on .....> So, lets just explain How God saved you, and then you can leave your salvation in His hands and out of yours, as you are incapable of saving yourself or keeping yourself saved. Philippians 1:6 Here we go.. By the time you were 17 you had long passed the age of accountability where you had become a sinner. So, this put you in a situation that we all face........"Ive sinned, and unforgiven sinners dont go to heaven to live in Joy and Harmony with God, for all eternity". So, immediately, we see the issue........The issue is not.. being good vs being bad, and the issue is not doing right or doing wrong...... The ISSUE is your SIN is going to keep you out of heaven.....Thats your issue, when you are LOST. And that is the ONLY issue that can keep you and God apart........And it WILL for eternity, unless this "sin caused disconnect" is resolved...... and you can't do this for yourself. Understand.......Salvation, is GOD dealing with your sin, FOR YOU, because He loves you. "For God so loved the world, YOU, that He GAVE"......... John 3:16 Now, all that is the REASON for Salvation....... As Salvation is simply the means and effect by which God comes into your life and heart and spirit and resolves YOUR Sin issue for you. And this is the "Grace of God", taking care of your SIN, for you....for FREE......as "Salvation is a GIFT". The "Grace of God" is God Himself coming to YOU to solve YOUR Sin issue that is keeping you and God SEPARATED. People who die separated from God, will stay this way for eternity, and "hell" is where you begin that existence. So, Salvation is God coming to you, to resolve for eternity, YOUR SIN ISSUE that has parted you from Him, and His family, and Heaven itself. Sin is your curse and God is your Cure. Sin is your soul sickness and the Blood of Jesus is the REMEDY. You have a sin issue, as your sin is ON YOU and IN YOU and you are being held accountable for it, John 3:36... and if you dont get this resolved, then as Jesus says.."you will DIE IN YOUR SIN".....and if that happens, you are going to go to hell, and not just there.....but eventually to the "lake of fire", and there is no getting out, there is no END. Hell and the Lake of Fire will last for as long as God LIVES......And He's an Eternal Being. Now, how is SIN resolved?........Its resolved by the application of SALVATION, that God Himself applies to you, so that your SIN, once and for all, is dealt with finally and forever. Lets get right to it now..... How does GOD resolve your SIN issue so that He can Accept you and for all eternity?. As once this has happened, then "Salvation" has been applied, rendered, and given to you from God Himself, which is an eternal situation. So, How does God resolve your sin, so that He can accept you, and not just for a few weeks....? 1. ) Simple.....He eternally replaces your sin with His Very Righteousness........"The Gift of Righteousness". "The Atonement". 2.) He removes the Law's power to judge you any longer as a "sinner", (Romans 4:8) and from this point, you are never viewed by God ever again as a sinner, but only as a "joint heir with Christ" and in fact a "Son/Daughter of God", and exactly connected to God just like Jesus. Now, i said i would keep this simple, but i had to write a bit of explanation, so that you could see what God had to take care of for you (your sin), so that by taking care of it for you (Jesus on The Cross), you could understand WHY Salvation has nothing to do with your behavior.....but Everything to do with God solving your sin issue FOR YOU, that disconnected you from Him. ----- So, moving along..... A little deeper.... God looks at us, before we are born again.....as the "adamic fallen", the sinners, the unbelievers, the LOST< and He had the responsibility to offer the only WAY.. (John 14:6) that you could be accepted by Him, back into His family, and for all eternity. How? God knows that to accept you, for you to belong to Him.... you have to be like Him........ And how is that?.....>"God's name is HOLY".......... That is how. He had to recreate you, (born again) so that you possess HIS VERY RIghteousness, as yours... In other words, YOU have to become, literally "the righteousness of God, In Christ", before He can accept you as His own.. So, what did He have to do, to GET THIS to you?.........Well, God literally had to become like you.... He literally came to this earth as Jesus, and OFFERS<>< FREELY GIVES you His Righteousness AS A FREE GIFT FROM THE CROSS.......>"God became one of us".....and He literally lived and met the requirements of His own LAW, and lived it perfectly, sinlessly....and then he took this to a Cross, this sinless - law keeping - perfection..... and sacrificed it (Himself) as a Gift to you and me. And Christ's sinlessness combined with the Sacrifice for the Sin of the World on a Cross, IS, Salvation as a finished "work of redemption" And here is where it gets even more interesting...... This Act of God, His sinless LIFE combined with His sacrificial Death on a Cross, is a completed situation, that exists... Its a living gift....Its alive....Its Power.....Its Redemption. It Exists for over 2000 years as a living OPPORTUNITY to have it.......... applied, for FREE. Now.....A low rent and pretty lame analogy would be.......... There is a Billion Dollars in the bank......and its WAITING TO BE APPLIED, Given.....to "all who would come". Salvation, is always there, waiting to be applied...waiting to be GIVEN. = This unconditional love of God, this Amazing Grace, that is God Himself solving the sin issue for "all would who come".......Is always there, waiting to do it for anyone and everyone who would turn from themselves, turn to the Cross, kneel, and say......."I believe, i receive, and i trust".. Faith : is Trust. Faith : is Trust. And when anyone offers this FAITH, their TRUST to God, ....He Instantly applies the gift of Salvation unto them, upon them, and within them.....once and forever. = Born Again. "Salvation". ------- wrapping it up time.... ""Salvation""......now simplified ........is........ God took the responsibility of your life, your eternal life, upon Himself. And to do so He completely resolved the issue of your sin, by becoming a man, and dying for your sin. Which....is offering you not only the freedom from the judgment due you for your sin by taking it upon Himself on a Cross.....but He also replaces your unholiness with His very Righteousness...... He gives this to you as "the gift of Righteousness", and in this way, you become "the righteousness of God, IN Christ", that He can accept, and nothing else will He accept. And how does He finally seal the deal?..........= He abolishes the law and establishes Grace in its place, so that only the BORN AGAIN are "no longer under the law, but under Grace", and by completing this final act, by removing from you (the Law) that can no longer deem you or judge you to be a sinner......."where there is no Law, there is no Transgression".... Romans 4:8.........He has stopped the LAW from having the power to judge you to be (by Himself) a sinner AFTER you are saved.. This had to be so, or the effect of becoming holy so that God could accept you, would be destroyed 20 mins after you were saved, when you did something wrong So, God took care of it all. He (became) took you sin upon Himself on the Cross . He replaced your sin with His "Gift of Righteousness", and then to make certain the Law could not judge you ever again as a "sinner". (Romans 4:8) God abolished the Law, and replaced it with Grace, so that your eternal life would always be secured by what HE did for you. "Salvation". <B><
  15. Behold

    One

    - There are many interesting and doctrinally/theologically accurate means to understand/comprehend Salvation. As the born again's eternal position in God's family , whereby we are eternally joined to God our Father through the Blood of Jesus, can be understood on many levels as an amazing spiritual mosaic regarding redemption.. Salvation....The Atonement....is multi-facited , it has many intricate and connected dots..... 1.) One way you can "see it", is to realize that God took upon Himself the sacrificial responsibility of our redemption, by Himself literally dying on a cross to bridge and thereby remove the eternal gulf that was between Himself and us that was our "SIN".. 2.) Another was you can view it is to understand that God's literal holiness is SO Holy, that it does not allow anything that is not equal in holiness to exist around Him..... So, He literally solves our unholiness that was the eternal wall between us and Himself, by dying for us and thereby GIFTING us with the "Righteousness of God, In Christ".....which is literally God's very own holiness becoming ours when we are born again. "the gift of righteousness".. 3.) And one more way to contemplate God's unmerited Salvation that He has gifted us with if we are born again, is Ephesians 2..... "God through Christ has raised us up together (Jesus and you) (Jesus is the resurrection and the Eternal Life), and made us 3 sit together.....(God, Christ, and the Born Again), > " IN Christ Jesus". Jesus The Christ IS God, and We the born again are "in Christ", (In God) and "Christ (God) in us IS the eternal and literal hope of Heaven, Eternal Life, & Glory". And how is this understood best?..... John 17:23.... "Jesus is inside the born Again, and God is inside Jesus, SO THAT the born again are ALL made perfect, as are all ONE in God...."""" <B><

    The Cross

What role does the Cross play in your walk with Christ? Have you ever found yourself worshipping the Cross instead of Christ?
  17. Prayer Time Travel - The Holy Bible records time. The Bible has a beginning to end, Genesis to Revelation. God is outside time. He has no beginning or end. We have a beginning with no end. We start in time, then escape it, get outside it with no end. Many prayers are throughout the Holy Bible affecting past, present and future, from whoever's perspective. Jesus Christ is! God is the great "I am," not was nor will be. Jesus prays for all believers. 20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. - John 17:20-21 New International Version (NIV) Revelation in the Bible affects the past to us now and beyond to the beginning of time, Genesis. A prayer in my future affects me and my now and even my past. My prayer now about my past affects my future. I am affected by my past, present and future, now. I am not an isolated silo. We cause ripple effects, everything affects everything, everything matters. Christ's life giving water is thee all encompassing most important matter. I lost my wallet. I decided not to fear or worry. I accepted it and let it go. Eventually I decided to pray about it, relatively long after the fact. Later, a policeman called for me to come get it from him. It had been been discovered moments after I lost it and immediately turned in. A beat cop had happened to be there. The officer had been swamped with work, so had notified and met with me a week later, having been so busy. That was my time traveling prayer eureka moment. At the time, my prayer was only to help process, comfort and put the whole matter in God's hands, whatever His will. I was happy with it and had left it at that. Yay and hallelujah, yet another reason for prayer! Now I realized and believed my prayer had actually traveled back in time. God's reach and power is anywhere anytime. He answered my prayer by changing my past, my reality and my future. What was lost was now found in time. December 18, 2016, I prayed a short, simple to the point prayer. I met and surrendered to Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord. What I prayed then and there took effect in the past on the cross at Calvary. Jesus Christ was sacrificed for me and my sin debt. That past was affected by prayer in its future. That present took effect in the past and affected the future until the end of time. Then, now and then, I pray in Jesus Christ's name, amen. 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. - John 1:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
  18. Praise the Lord, hallelujah! Praise You, God, for your purity and perfection! Praise You Lord, Jesus Christ, for saving me and my testimony! Glory be to You, God, our Father who art in Heaven! Thanks be to the Holy Spirit's comfort, teaching and guidance! All we know, understand, experience and struggle with is for your glory, perfect plan and unquestionable will. I shall not want or crave anything outside of Jesus Christ's way. Let me know if so, let me understand what You want for us is best. May I pick up and carry my own cross, denying myself for You. I worship You as all knowing, powerful and gracious. May I draw closer to You and keep You as top priority in my family's lives. You are first, my family is second and I am here to serve. May I serve you reverently, fully and completely. May there be less of me and more of Jesus Christ instead. Jesus, You are thee only way, light and salvation. All I need is You. God, You take care of the rest. You are in control, God, making and letting everything happen. I am in awe and wonder of your creation. I am eternally grateful, worshipping You and your Son for thee ultimate sacrifice and act of love. This body is your temple, use it as You will. Bend me from my will to yours. It is all about You, everything concerns and relates to You! Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever, in Jesus Christ's name, amen! Sincerely yours, GregoryB
  19. Luke 24:1-3 - "Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulcher, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulcher. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus." Observation: TRULY, ITS TIME FOR ME TO STOP LOOKING FOR THE LIVING AMONG THE DEAD. IT'S TIME FOR ME TO STOP WANDERING AROUND IN THE CEMETERY OF SIN, SICKNESS, AND FAILURE AND TO STEP INTO RESURRECTION LIFE! AS A RESURRECTED CREATURE, I AM NO ACCIDENT GOING SOMEWHERE TO HAPPEN. MY LIFE ISN'T JUST A LOOSE WEB OF EVENTS AND CIRCUMSTANCES. GOD HAS SPECIFIC PLANS FOR ME. Romans 1:17 - "For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, But he who is put right with God shall live by faith." "From faith to faith" means we are to begin and finish in faith. We are to start in faith and stand in faith until that which we are believing for arrives. We go from "faith to faith" not faith to feelings. Faith is a seed. When we are dealing in faith, there is a timing for the manifestation. It takes time sometimes for our faith to pull things into the natural realm. That's why the bible says it's "from faith to faith." We have to stay in faith even when we don't see any changes. In our faith, we have to get above seeing or feeling something. Observation: FAITH PLEASES GOD BECAUSE IT MAKES A WAY FOR HIM TO WORK IN MY LIFE. IT CONNECTS ME TO HIS SUPERNATURAL ANOINTING. LIKE ABRAHAM I STAGGER NOT AT THE PROMISE OF GOD THROUGH UNBELIEF; BUT AM STRONG IN FAITH GIVING GLORY TO GOD! Song of Solomon 3:3 - "The watchmen that patrol the city found me and I asked, 'Have you seen my beloved?"' THE WATCHMEN, WHO GOD HAS SET ON THE WALLS OF JERUSALEM, FIND YOU BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS LOOKING OUT FOR HIS CITY. YOU ASK THEM FOR NEWS OF YOUR BELOVED (JESUS), BUT THEY CANNOT TELL YOU WHERE HE IS. YOU SEARCH FOR YOUR BELOVED, BUT NO ONE CAN TELL YOU WHERE HE IS BUT HE HIMSELF. Isaiah 62:6,12 - "I have set watchmen upon your walls, O Jerusalem, who will never hold their peace day or night; you who are His servants that put the Lord in remembrance of His promises, keep not silence. And they shall call them the holy people, the redeemed of the Lord." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRYhttp://afministry.ning.com
  20. "Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more the me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. Whoever finds His life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it." - Matthew 10:37-39 Many believe for Jesus' salvation, but never walk in the total freedom of the cross. In the New Testament, "kairos" means ' the appointed time in the purpose of God", the time when God acts; for example in Mark 1:15: "And saying, "The time (kairos) is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand. Repent and believe the gospel.'" DIVINE IMPARTATION FOR STRENGTH In Luke 22:43 after Jesus had resolved within His own heart for the Father's will to be done in His life, we see that "An angel appeared to Him from heaven, strengthening Him." It is possible for us to be granted a divine impartation of strength to embrace the cross today. If we are to achieve anything in our lives that bears eternal fruit, we must first deny ourselves and embrace the cross (God's PURPOSE for our lives) just as Christ Jesus modeled for us. The anointing to embrace the cross (God's CALLING on our life) involves prayer, sanctification, and intimacy with God. There is no alternative way to embrace the cross. In Matthew 27:32 Simon the Cyrenian was "compelled to bear His cross." Is Jesus calling us to do the same today? COMPELLED TO BEAR OUR CROSS Matthew 27:32 - "Now as they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name: Him they compelled to bear His cross." "Compelled (Greek: Aggareuo, Strongs 29) literally translated -- to be pressed into public service or compelled to "go". The word for "bear" (Greek; Airo, Strong's 142), literal translation -- to take up or to take away. The call is still true for us today just as it was for Simon the Cyrenian. To "take up our cross" we must come to the place of death. We must die to ourselves and to our worldly dreams and fully embrace the plans and blueprints that God has written for us in heaven. When Simon and Jesus took the cross to Calvary, "they were come (together) unto a place called Golgotha" (Matthew 27:33). Prophetically, Simon the Cyrenian represents each of us: We must all come to the place of the cross and die to our agendas and carnal thoughts for our lives and ministries. We must allow the Father's will to be done in our lives. We must all come to our own personal Golgothas. Just as Jesus was with the Cyrenian, He will be with each of us at the time and place of our personal death to self. "Jesus then said to his disciples, 'If anyone wishes to be a follower of mine, he must leave self behind; he must take up his cross and come with me. Whoever cares for his own safety is lost; but if a man will let himself be lost for my sake, he will find his true self.'" - Mattthew 16:24-25 NEB COMING UNDER ATTACK The enemy of our soul does not want us to embrace the Cross of Christ. The warfare can be tremendous for us as we embrace the cross (death to self). When we approach the place of surrender and death to self we will also come under attack from the evil one. Fortunately, Jesus has already fought this battle for each of us. The enemy will bellow and scream at us every time we fall short. When we fail to fully embrace the cross, he will illuminate our shortcomings. Picking up our cross is a process. If we fall down -- get up just as Jesus did. Emulate Christ -- dying to yourself and worldly dreams is a process. Even the Son of God walked through this process. It takes time and intimacy with the Lord -- laying down our life is a process. "Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after me cannot be my disciple." - Luke 14:27 Taking up your cross is not a popular message. When Jesus shared this message, many left Him, and later reviled and cursed Him. The message of the cross was one reason why Jesus was beaten, afflicted, smote, reviled spit on, crucified, and killed. When we die to manmade methods, ideas, and formulas, and begin to truly minister in the pattern of heaven, only then can God truly begin to release the Kingdom into our life. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  21. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. - Colossians 2:15 A sad occourence in some circles is the diminishing of the cross of Jesus Christ. We see in many Churches the cross being taken down in sanctuaries, other symbols being used in its stead. There are other more extreme cases where believers start to think of the cross as pagan, unbiblical and even not a cross but a pole as Jehovah Witnesses teach. This should not surprise us that there is enmity and division over the cross as a symbol as it bears the very message and death of the Person of God for a lost humanity. The enemy of our souls knows this and has and continues to oppose or pervert and mis-use its symbol. The cross gives us a powerful message and truth in visible form when looked upon. It says that the eternal God became flesh and submitted himself to death on the cross for humanity. It was death being trampled upon by the death of God. It was the triumphing over demonic hosts in the unseen. It is the love of God and forgiving of sins. Its very symbol speaks to the believer of life, the unbeliever of God's love and the demons of their defeat. When I was in a certain city, the Holy Spirit bore witness in my heart to wear a medium size cross around my neck with large rope. I was actively evangelizing unreached Punjabi peoples in the area with the Good News of Jesus. When I obeyed God and wore the cross an amazing thing happened, everywhere I went the Punjabi people seemed to see me very clearly and where drawn to me. I remember countless times in daily life where they would just stare and after I finished what I was doing, I would go and hand a scripture booklet to them. What that experience spoke to me was that bearing the cross of Christ in reference in a physical way had a spiritual impact. Whether they looked at me with my long beard and cross as a holy man or devoutly religious, I am not sure. But I could not deny the difference it made. It also made me councious that I was a bearer of this message of the Cross to the people daily. Another way the symbol of the cross was used in the early Church was by tracing it on the forehead and other ways. This practice began with water baptism and later became an accepted way of acknowledging the Lord and the death of Christ. Cyril an early church leader in AD. 310 wrote: "Let us not then be ashamed to confess the Crucified. Be the Cross our seal made with boldness by our fingers on our brow, and on everything; over the bread we eat, and the cups we drink; in our comings in, and goings out; before our sleep, when we lie down and when we rise up; when we are in the way, and when we are still." Martin Luther as other protestants carried on this tradition of the sign of the cross. Luther said, "In the morning, when you rise, you shall make the sign of the holy cross, and you shall say: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Then, kneeling or standing, you shall say the Apostles’ Creed and the Lord’s Prayer." This way of doing the sign of cross was to touch the fore-head, then the belly, then left shoulder, then right. This motion made a cross and it signified many things including, (1) acknowledging the Lord (2) declaring triumph over the enemy (3) testifying that our body, spirit and soul belong to God (4) putting in remembrance the death of Christ. Should all believers wear crosses, have cross symbols in their home or church, or make the visible sign of the cross daily? This question should make us ask another question first, Do I daily remember, praise and thank God for the Cross of Christ? Is it always in my remembrance? All of these traditions of the symbol of the cross are servants to the greater reality of the very death of Christ for each of us personally. Life, time, work, vocations distract us at times from the very purpose and person that everything is all about. M. Basilea Schlink says, "You were created and redeemed to focus on Jesus – on Him alone." St. Paul the apostle said that the cross was everything to him, it was his focus and boast (Galatians 6:14). Let us remember daily that it is this powerful cross that frees us from sin, satan and our own very self. Let it be in our gaze daily in all the motions of life. And hear the voice of your Lord saying "Remember Me", "Remember what I did for you." Yes, Lord we will remember you, let us not lose the wonder and holiness of your Cross.
  22. John 5:39 - "You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me." THIS SAYS CLEARLY THAT REVELATION IS MEANT TO BRING US INTO AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD, AND IF IT DOESN'T, IT ONLY MAKES US MORE RELIGIOUS. RENEWING THE MIND IS NOT MERELY READING WORDS ON A PAGE AND HAVING A MOMENT OF REVELATION ABOUT A PARTICULAR VERSE. RENEWAL COMES AS REVELATION THAT LEADS YOU INTO A NEW EXPERIENCE WITH GOD. MANY CHRISTIANS HAVE AT TIMES EMBRACED A ROUTINE OF READING SCRIPTURE WITHOUT LETTING THE READING LEAD TO EXPERIENCE. Affirmation: TO RENEW MY MIND I MUST NOT JUST THINK DIFFERENTLY BUT LIVE DIFFERENTLY, IN A NEW EXPERIENCE OF THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Luke 14:26 - "If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters - yes, even his own life - he cannot be my disciple." SOME OF JESUS' STATEMENTS ABOUT HIS OWN EARTHLY FAMILY WERE CONSIDERED MORALLY WRONG AND THE ULTIMATE IN DISHONOR BY THE CULTURE AROUND HIM. JESUS' STATEMENT WAS REVOLUTIONARY. THIS, HOWEVER, WAS NOT THE STATEMENT OF AN EXTREMIST. IT CONVEYED JESUS' JEALOUS LOVE FOR HUMANITY. HE LOVED US ENOUGH TO LEAVE HIS FATHER IN HEAVEN, AND HE EXPECTS NO LESS FROM US - ASKING US TO ABANDON ALL OTHER LOVES FOR HIM. Affirmation: AS A FOLLOWER OF JESUS I TREAT EVERYTHING ELSE AS LESSER IN COMPARISON TO HIM, THE GREATER. Luke 5:4 - "When Jesus had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch." Luke 5 is a great example of the Church in our day. We have been fishing all night and have not caught much. Many of us have not ventured out of the shallow water, out of the zones of safety and comfortableness, to find the fish where they are. The fish are in the deep water; they are outside the Church, and outside our opinions and prejudices. As we are obedient to God's call and venture into the deep water and into relationships with people "on the streets," we will be overwhelmed by the response and will need to network with other churches to accommodate the great numbers of people who will come to Jesus. Matthew 4:19 - And Jesus said unto them, "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  23. Luke 2:44,45 - "But supposing Him to be in the company they went a day's journey, and they sought Him among their kinsfolk and acquaintances; and when they did not find Him, they returned to Jerusalem, seeking Him." Likewise, many of us have become so consumed with our battles that we fail to notice Jesus is not with us on our journey. Jesus' parents returned to where they had last seen Him; so also must we. To renew us, God is bringing us back to our most recent encounter with the living Christ. To reach our place of breakthrough, God is bringing us back to the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ. For My Prayerful Consideration: IS NOT INTIMACY WITH GOD THE VERY THING I HAVE NEGLECTED? AS I SIMPLY AND TRUTHFULLY EVALUATE, WITHOUT RATIONALIZATION, MY HEART'S CONDITION I AM DRAWN INTO THE PRESENCE OF GOD. WHAT SEEMS TO ME LIKE A TIME OF DESOLATION IS MORE TRULY A TIME OF PREPARATION. GOD HAS PREPARED FOR ME A NEW BEGINNING. 2 Corinthians 11:3 - "But I am afraid that as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your thoughts will be led astray from a sincere and pure devotion to Christ." Matthew 16:25 - "For whoever wishes to save his life shall lose Following Him always leads to the cross. His triumph was the cross, and it is ours too. If we are in Christ we are to be dead to this world. It is impossible to offend a dead person. It is impossible for a dead person to feel rejected or abused. If this is true we can respond to any situation with God's love.it; but whoever loses his life for my sake shall find it." Luke 16:16 - "The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it." This realm of God’s Spirit does not come without “pressing” – without contending. The first thing about pressing is seeking. Pressing into it means there is a passionate pursuit of God in prayer. The word “to seek” means to diligently look for and search out earnestly until the object of the search is located. It is as crying out and hungering for the presence of God. AFFIRMATIONS: I press into and lay hold of the kingdom of heaven in an aggressive way. I have a burning heart of fiery witness and passion when it comes to exhorting others in their walk with God. I repent from trying to do God's will without abiding in His presence. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  24. 2 Corinthians 4:13 - "We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak." OBSERVATION: Sometimes I have to speak the Word to myself until I believe it -- then I can use that word to speak to my situation. The abiding word produces the spirit of faith within me; so I spend time with God and permit that word to abide in me. I confess that word and meditate in that word and abide in Jesus. Then the spirit of faith is produced in me. Romans 10:17 - "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing, by the word of God." Romans 6:4,5 - "Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so, we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection." The cross of Golgotha utterly crucified us. Our natural being no longer has a place in God's thoughts. The death of Jesus on the cross put an irrevocable end to what we are by nature and what we could ever be. What we are in Christ has nothing more to do with what we were before we were crucified. InChrist we find ourselves in the province of resurrection, and resurrection is only possible if there is first a death. In the resurrection there is only one reality -- Christ all and in all! l Corinthians 3:18,19 - "Make no mistake about it: if any one of you thinks of himself as wise, in the ordinary sense of the word, then he must learn to be a fool before he really can be wise. Why? Because the wisdom of this world is foolishness to God....God is not convinced by the arguments of the wise." On our own we cannot comprehend how to grow and live in oneness with God. Live every day in the knowledge that every bit of spiritual insight is a pure gift from God. The only way to receive wisdom from God is to come before Him (SUBMITTING YOUR SPIRIT TO HIM), pushing away every bit of understanding you think you have gained, and each day, offer yourself as a servant who is willing to do the lowest job. As long as you allow the spirit of "superior knowledge" to secretly overtake you -- that is, to be master of you of your own soul -- you will be as powerless in spirit as a slave -- always subject to your lower nature.
