  1. On a flight home yesterday I was considering the OSAS arguments, both the pros and cons. I decided to jot down reason why I know I’m eternally saved and secure in this wonderful salvation. Below are 12 reasons that came to me, and I thought to share them with my brothers and sisters here on Worthy. I hope and sincerely pray these may be a help to some and that God would shine liberating light on all of us. (I you don’t see an applicable verse for any of these – please ask) 1. Nothing can separate me from the love of God – not even me! (Romans 8:38-39) 2. Christ’s ultimate sacrifice on the cross paid for ALL my sins – “removed as far as the east is from the west” (Psalm 103:12) 3. By being born-again, God’s very life has been sent into me – “Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts crying, ‘Abba! Father!’” (John 3:6, Galatians 4:6) 4. Old things have passed away and I am a new creature in Christ! (2 Corinthians 5:17, Col. 3:1-3) 5. I have been placed into Christ – joined to Him - and placed in His body by the Supreme Power in the universe, which no one can undo – “It is of God that you are in Christ Jesus” “He that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit with Him” (1 Cor 1:30, 12:18, 6:17, 2 Cor 1:21, Eph 2:6) 6. I am now a child/son of God, born of my Father, and a partaker of His divine nature. (2 Peter 1:4) 7. Christ’s attributes and inheritance are mine forever, given to us by our older Brother. “in Him . . . the righteousness of God in Christ” “Joint heirs with Christ” (2 Cor 5:21, Romans 8:17) 8. God now looks at me as He does His Son and we are sealed for Him by the Spirit. (Eph 1:13, 1 John 4:17, Gal 2:20, Col 3:3-4) 9. There is now no condemnation for me whatsoever, since I have been put into Christ! (Romans 8:1) 10. I know that as His child there is accountability and discipline to help me grow and mature, but it is all for the good and therefore, my loving Father will not send me to eternal death. (1 Cor 3:12, Rev 3:19, Heb 12:11, Psalm 16:10) 11. My identification is now as a son of God with His life in me, but sin is still present in my flesh and can be manifested in my actions. However, God no longer views me as a sinner (because of the all efficacious work of Christ for me), but rather as a child of God, a saint who sometimes sins. 12. I have been set free for freedom’s sake and can come boldly ANYTIME to the throne of grace, to obtain mercy and grace to help in time of need. And this is especially true after I fail! It has been bothering and a little grieving to me to see all my brothers and sisters on here who don’t realize what a complete work Christ has done for us in giving us eternal life, which may never be taken from us! Christ’s awesome work, in His substitutionary death and resurrection, results in His very life being made available to “whosoever wills.” And through being born-again we are made God’s children, who can’t be unborn. Being God’s children is not just a legal matter of adoption, but also a matter of life – Father’s very life comes into us making us children of the Most High and Christ’s brothers! And hopefully the aspect of a believer’s accountability has been effectively presented in this post and on various recent threads (by others & myself). To reiterate, even though we are forgiven of sin because of Christ’s magnificent work on the cross, sin in a believer’s life can still cause many problems. The new life that is in us does not want to sin, however we still have the choice to live according to the sinful flesh. If we do, Romans 8:13 tells us we “are about to die.” (then goes on to say, “But if by the spirit you put to death the practices of the body you will live.”) This is not referring to eternal death here, but rather the living spirit in us will be deadened by setting our mind on the flesh, that is, until we turn back to Him. Ultimately, all believers will be judged at the Judgement (Bema) Seat of Christ, discussed in Romans 14:10 and 2 Cor 5:10. Here, the Righteous Judge will determine whether children of God have built (our works) with good materials (gold, silver, precious stone) or poor materials (wood, hay, straw). If we did well and built with the materials God desires, we will receive accommodation and praise from Him. If it’s found we lived in sin and built with a bunch of poor materials, these poor building materials will be judged accordingly and will be burnt up. Therefore, we will suffer loss and He will be ashamed of us, but since we are still sealed children of our Father, we ourselves will be saved. So that’s why I know that I know that I know that I have eternal life, which I cannot undo . . . no more that I can climb back into my mother’s womb and somehow be unborn. Yes, it is truly amazing grace! “When I see the blood, I will pass over you.” “It is of God that you are in Christ Jesus.” Exodus 12:13 & 1 Corinthians 1:30
  2. Shalom to all. Sometimes, people will refer to an "eternal soul" or an "immortal soul" and will think of the "soul" as the "real you," as opposed to a person's body, but I'd like to discuss this point. The ramifications of the definition of such a thing as a "soul" are HUGE! And, how a person defines "soul" will determine how one looks at our final destiny. What does God promise about the future and how does it involve a person's "soul?" Let me start with a few basic points, and we'll go from there: First, the words translated as "soul" in the Scriptures are ... "nefesh," spelled "nun-(segol)-fei-(segol)-shin," in the Hebrew of the TANAKH (the OT), often written "nephesh," and ... "psuchee," spelled "psi-upsilon-chi-eta," in the Greek of the B'rit Chadashah (the NT), often written "psuche" or "psyche." Here are the entries in the dictionaries of Strong's Exhaustive Concordance that correspond directly or indirectly to the word "soul": 5315 nephesh [nefesh] (neh'-fesh). From naphash; properly, a breathing creature, i.e. Animal of (abstractly) vitality; used very widely in a literal, accommodated or figurative sense (bodily or mental) -- any, appetite, beast, body, breath, creature, X dead(-ly), desire, X (dis-)contented, X fish, ghost, + greedy, he, heart(-y), (hath, X jeopardy of) life (X in jeopardy), lust, man, me, mind, mortally, one, own, person, pleasure, (her-, him-, my-, thy-)self, them (your)-selves, + slay, soul, + tablet, they, thing, (X she) will, X would have it. 5314 naphash [naafash] (naw-fash'). A primitive root; to breathe; passively, to be breathed upon, i.e. (figuratively) refreshed (as if by a current of air) -- (be) refresh selves (-ed). 5590 psuche [psuchee] (psoo-khay'). From psucho [psuchoo]; breath, i.e. (by implication) spirit, abstractly or concretely (the animal sentient principle only; thus distinguished on the one hand from pneuma, which is the rational and immortal soul; and on the other from zoe, [zooee], which is mere vitality, even of plants: these terms thus exactly correspond respectively to the Hebrew nephesh, ruwach and chay) -- heart (+ -ily), life, mind, soul, + us, + you. 5594 psucho [psuchoo] (psoo-kho'). A primary verb; to breathe (voluntarily but gently, thus differing on the one hand from pneo [pneoo], which denotes properly a forcible respiration; and on the other from the base of aer [aeer], which refers properly to an inanimate breeze), i.e. (by implication, of reduction of temperature by evaporation) to chill (figuratively) -- wax cold. This introduces us to a few more terms we should consider (presented in the order is which they were introduced) for this discussion: 4151 pneuma (pnyoo'-mah). From pneo [pneoo]; a current of air, i.e. Breath (blast) or a ; by analogy or figuratively, a spirit, i.e. (human) the rational soul, (by implication) vital principle, mental disposition, etc., or (superhuman) an angel, demon, or (divine) God, Christ's spirit, the Holy Spirit -- ghost, life, spirit(-ual, -ually), mind. Compare psuche. 2222 zoe [zooee] (zo-ay'). From zao [zaoo]; life (literally or figuratively) -- life(-time). Compare psuche [psuchee]. 7307 ruwach (roo'-akh). From ruwach (too-akh'); wind; by resemblance breath, i.e. A sensible (or even violent) exhalation; figuratively, life, anger, unsubstantiality; by extension, a region of the sky; by resemblance spirit, but only of a rational being (including its expression and functions) -- air, anger, blast, breath, X cool, courage, mind, X quarter, X side, spirit((-ual)), tempest, X vain, ((whirl-))wind(-y). 2416 chay (khah-ee'). From chayah; alive; hence, raw (flesh); fresh (plant, water, year), strong; also (as noun, especially in the feminine singular and masculine plural) life (or living thing), whether literally or figuratively -- + age, alive, appetite, (wild) beast, company, congregation, life(-time), live(-ly), living (creature, thing), maintenance, + merry, multitude, + (be) old, quick, raw, running, springing, troop. 4154 pneo [pneoo] (pneh'-o). A primary word; to breathe hard, i.e. Breeze -- blow. Compare psucho [psuchoo]. 109 aer [aeer] (ah-ayr'). From aemi [aeemi] (to breathe unconsciously, i.e. Respire; by analogy, to blow); "air" (as naturally circumambient) -- air. Compare psucho [psuchoo]. and, 2198 zao [zaoo] (dzah'-o). A primary verb; to live (literally or figuratively) -- life(-time), (a-)live(-ly), quick. 2421 chayah [chaayaah] (khaw-yaw). A primitive root (compare chavah, chayah); to live, whether literally or figuratively; causatively, to revive -- keep (live, make) alive, X certainly, give (promise) life, (let, suffer to) live, nourish up, preserve (alive), quicken, recover, repair, restore (to life), revive, (X God) save (alive, life, lives), X surely, be whole. The first occurrence of the word nefesh is NOT about the creation of the Man, Adam. The first occurrences are on a day earlier in the Creation Week: Genesis 1:20-23 (KJV) 20 And God said, "Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that hath life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven." 21 And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. 22 And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth." 23 And the evening and the morning were the fifth day. The important verse is ... Genesis 2:7 (KJV) 7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. This verse doesn't say anything about the LORD God forming the BODY of the man; it says that He formed the MAN of the dust of the ground! Then, He breathed into the nostrils of the man a puff of life, and the MAN became a living SOUL! a living, AiR-BREATHING CREATURE! Now, notice the curse for Adam's sin: Genesis 3:17-19 (KJV) 17 And unto Adam he [God] said, "Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, 'Thou shalt not eat of it': cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; 18 Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;19 In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." God didn't say his BODY was made of dust; He said to Adam, "YOU shall return unto the ground, for out of the ground YOU were taken!" He concludes "YOU are dust, and to dust YOU shall return!"
  3. Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, I would like to know the revelation hidden in these two verses from any one who has carefully studied these two verses from the Hebrew texts. If you haven't done the reserch you may kindly suggest me some useful links where I can do my own research. The best explanation so far I found is Gill's Exposition. I understand these two verses reveal the process that the Christ, the Son of God passing through from the eternity past to the eternity future. Grace be with you.
  4. Matthew 6:10 - "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." What world is more real to us? Is it this present world or the eternal? When we are more aware of the ultimate eternal life with God, when the temporal world no longer makes much difference, there is a freedom that comes in our spirit – because this place is not our home. We are journeying through this life knowing that our home is that which is not made by hands but by God in the Heavens. The truth is that we can now live out of the PLACE OF ETERNITY. ETERNAL LIFE is also a way of life. We live from this quality of life that Jesus opened the way for us to experience. Paul tells us to focus on the eternal, not the temporal. In this, we free our minds from the cares of this life. The ETERNAL REALM is comprised of the life we are called to live in. HEAVEN IS OUR HOME The eternal realm is in God. But, make it more personal: He is our Father, the Everlasting Father. God is trying to bring His people to a place where they learn how to live from heaven towards earth. The reason is that His heart is for heaven to exist on earth. The desire to go to heaven can never cancel out His command to us to bring heaven to earth. Whatever our meditation is, that is what we will end up talking about the most. We talk about what is most valuable to us or what we've chosen to make our meditation. In all these things we need to yield our hearts and thoughts to God, ask Him to fill us with His thoughts, meditate on His words and fix our eyes upon the Lord. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  5. Having experienced the torments of Hell, I can verify the legitimacy of this testimony, but more importantly, discernment tells me it's real and genuine. I encourage those who watch this not to go down a rabbit hole of Hell testimonies all at once, it can be overwhelming and very depressing, please be led by the Spirit by discerning the voice of God on all pursuits, but Jesus has taken people to experience these experiences for a reason. May you learn from these testimonies and be convicted (if necessary) and not condemned by responding to that conviction accordingly, (remember God chastises those He loves!) and may the Lord bless you mightily in Jesus' mighty name! Revelation 20:15: And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Luke 12:5: But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him! Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Revelation 21:8: But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
  6. Hebrews 11:3 - "Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear." Faith is the bridge between the eternal (the unseen) and the temporal (the seen). In prayer, we can cross that bridge and see as God sees. Real prayer is not just words, but intently waiting on God until we (by the Spirit) see what He is seeing. Jesus ignored what His natural eyes told Him, and He declared what His spiritual eyes saw. He saw the heart of God and the mind of God which was far more of a reality than what His physical senses told Him. OBSERVATION: I need to think, believe and speak, not according to things which are seen -- my circumstances -- but according to things which are not seen -- the word of God. As I am faithful to think, believe and speak according to that which is not seen, God will make those things tangible in my life. He will make them "seen"! Psalm 25:14 - "The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, and He will make them know His covenant." FEARING GOD MEANS TO HAVE RESPECT FOR HIM, TO ACKNOWLEDGE HIS MAJESTY AND GREATNESS, TO HONOR HIM AS GOD - TO RESPECT HIM AS THE MYSTERIOUS, INDESCRIBABLE LORD, TO BE FAITHFUL TO HIM AND TO FULLY AND UNCONDITIONALLY TRUST HIM. AS I CHERISH HIS CLOSENESS HE DISCLOSES HIS SON, WHO IS THE HIGHEST SECRET OF ALL - CHRIST, THE MYSTERY OF ALL MYSTERIES. Psalm 16:7 - "I will bless the Lord, Who has given me counsel: yes, my heart instructs me in the night seasons." Matthew 10:8,9 - "And into whatsoever city you enter, and they receive you, eat such things as are set before you: And heal the sick that are therein, and say unto them, The kingdom of God is come nigh unto you." THE REALITY OF BEING BORN OF THE SPIRIT MEANS THAT A WHOLE NEW REALM OF POSSIBILITIES, CHALLENGES AND OBSTACLES NOW UNFOLDS BEFORE US. THE IDEA THAT THE ONLY RELATIONSHIP WE HAVE WITH HEAVEN IS THE ONE WE EXPERIENCE AT DEATH IS SIMPLY CONTRARY TO THE WORD OF GOD. AFFIRMATION: I have received a spiritual gift to serve others faithfully, administering God’s grace. When I speak I speak words that seem to come from God; I help as though every order was done at God’s orders so that in everything God may receive the glory through Jesus Christ since to Him belongs all glory and power for ever and ever. (1 Peter 4:10,11) ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  7. Matthew 12:28 -- "If I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you." The unseen world has influence over the visible. The Kingdom is here and now. We must acknowledge that it's in the invisible realm. Just as Jesus worked only through the Spirit of God, we need to do likewise as His agent. The enemy's attempt to anchor our affections to the things that are visible is easily resisted when our hearts are aware of the presence of the Kingdom of God. 2 Corinthians 4:18 -- Meanwhile our eyes are fixed, not on the things that are seen, but on the things that are unseen: for what is seen passes away; what is unseen is eternal. INTO ACTION: What are you doing daily to establish the presence of the Kingdom of God in your consciousness? 1. 2. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  8. Jesus said to Nathanael, "You will see greater things than these...I say to you, you will see the heavens opened, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.- John 1: 50,51. Most Christians see the heavens closed. Few see with open vision either into the heavenly realms or into their own hearts. Romans 14:17 - "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit." The Kingdom is contained by the presence of the Spirit of God. Releasing the treasure that you carry is the big challenge for the Christian life. We have been called from eternity towards time. What faith means is that we live FROM HEAVEN TOWARDS EARTH Christianity in its present state is that we live from earth towards heaven. Our focus is to call out to God to fix a problem. Yet He has equiped and assigned us to function in His authority to deal with the problem. LEARNING TO SEE DIFFERENTLY The Kingdom is invisible and we have to learn to see differently. That's why Paul said, "What you see is temporal , what you cannot see is eternal." The Lord is trying to engage us -- He is trying to get us to reach into the invisible, because where your heart is your treasure is. Wherever you sow yourself is where your heart will be. Repent means to go back to God's perspective on reality. QUESTION TO ASK MYSELF: Do I think that I can have the Spirit of God resting on me and have the heavens close over me? Most believers go into dark situations and contend and pray and fight for an open heaven. What does that mean? We see the sky over us as dark. What does revelation do -- it reveals what already exists. It is not dark over you if you are abiding in Christ. Why? -- because the Father jealously desires the Spirit of God that is resting you you -- He will allow no darkness to separate. AN OPEN HEAVEN IS ALWAYS OVER US Over is an open heaven -- it is always there. It doesn't mean that we are always ready to take advantage of it -- it doesn; mean that we recognize it -- the the Father jealously desires the Spirit in us. The more we abide and walk in His presence the more He trusts His presence to rest upon us, which increases the Open Heaven around us. The more your mantle increases, the more your responsibility increases. The more your responsibility increases, the greater representation from heaven goes with you. Heaven follows those who live a lifestyle of risk and carry a mantle of authority and reaponsibility. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. Genesis 1:2 - "The earth was without form and an empty waste, and darkness was upon the face of the very great deep. The Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters." Observation: AS I MEET WITH GOD HE COMES LIVING AND BREATHING THROUGH THE SCRIPTURES INTO MY HEART. AT THAT MOMENT THE VERY SAME SPIRIT THAT HOVERED OVER CREATION IN THE BEGINNING IS HOVERING OVER ME, TRANSFORMING ME INTO THE IMAGE OF CHRIST THROUGH THE WORD. THAT LIVING, BREATHING WORD IS GOD! 2 Corinthians 3:18 - "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." Matthew 14:27 - "But Jesus immediately said to them: 'Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid."' Christs assurance, "It is I", literally translated reads, "I Am" - the eternal designation of God. While Jesus indeed comes to the aid of His disciples, He also reveals Himself teanscendent of time's barriers. As such, He proclaims His availability to all His disciples. He is God with us, even to the end of the age! AFFIRMATIONS: Since I am in Jesus Christ all the fullness of the Godhead dwells in me. (Col. 2:9,10) God has put eternity in my heart. (Ecclesiastes 3:11) The Lord is like a burning fire shut up in my bones; I cannot contain it any longer. (Jer.20:9) Matthew 7:25 - "And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock." Observation: I CANNOT BUILD MY HOUSE "IN A STORM". MY HOUSE MUST BE BUILT DAY BY DAY, BEFOREHAND, BY DIGGING DEEP AND BUILDING ON THE ROCK OF HEARING AND OBEYING THE WORDS OF CHRIST. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  10. FOR CARNIVORES ONLY - NO DAIRY ENTHUSIASTS - http://biblehub.com/1_corinthians/3-2.htm Sometimes we hear: "Can I get an amen?" This message is not easy to listen to, even if you agree with what the man is saying, it does not encourage an "amen". http://youtu.be/29f4EOCF2Oo I have to make a comment here. Some of you who watch this video, may come away convinced that you are going to Hell. That may be the intention that this man had in making it. Surely, if you are going to Hell, it would be better to know about it now, than find out later. The danger is also, that a message like this can be scary and depressing. I don't want that to be the effect. If it makes you shakey, then my all means find out why people go to Hell and what saves them from Hell and do not live in doubt, but in faith. If you watch this video only to feel bad and not learn anything or let God make needed changes in your heart, then it will do no one any good. Don't be like the rich young ruler: 18A ruler questioned Him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” 19And Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good except God alone. 20“You know the commandments, ‘DO NOT COMMIT ADULTERY, DO NOT MURDER, DO NOT STEAL, DO NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS, HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER.’” 21And he said, “All these things I have kept from my youth.” 22When Jesus heard this, He said to him, “One thing you still lack; sell all that you possess and distribute it to the poor, and you shall have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.” 23But when he had heard these things, he became very sad, for he was extremely rich. 24And Jesus looked at him and said, “How hard it is for those who are wealthy to enter the kingdom of God! 25“For it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.” 26They who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?” 27But He said, “The things that are impossible with people are possible with God.” Is there anything more important to you than God? If you are going to join Him in Heaven, why will you be there, on what basis will you be in Heaven, when so many of your friends and relatives, neighbors, aquantences and even strangers that you did not warn won't be? What will you say if God asks: "Why should I let you into my Heaven?" What would you tell your neighbor as he screams across the chasm: "Why didn't you warn me about this place? Did you really hate me that much?"
