  1. It's not enough that fear has desecrated the saints, we must first deal with our alcoholic history in the body of Christ, and I'm talking about maddening wine, not Bordeaux. How is it created, and where does it arise from? It's becomes the blood of the saints spiritually we know that for sure! Let's NOT drink it!! You know here in this community we have discussed the holy priesthood, or rather the unblemished fatherhood of the male saints being offered to them by the Father of Lights right now. Undoubtedly this might come about through a movement of fasting and celibacy. Amen.
  2. I’ve recently betrayed god and have sinned. I want to show him that he can trust me again. And, I want to show him that I’m serious about beginning my journey as a Christian. I also want him to forgive me of my sins. So is fasting a good way to do that. If it is how long should I fast?
  3. My boyfriend and his ex are in the same class. They're best of friends because theyp apparently realized that they're better off as friends than anything else. A few months back I found messages on his phone between them, she was feeling upset so he tried cheering her up and even went as far as to call her baby ?... Since then we have broken up nonstop and she was the cause of it. The fact that he didn't want to cut her out of his life keeps causing us to break up. He says they're just friends and he keeps making excuses for their friendship. I feel like she holds a higher level of importance in his life and that hurts me. He comes from a broken home and because of that whenever we break up he uses that as an excuse to guilt trip me by making me take him back. Our relationship has reached the point where we reply with just one word. I am so tired of hurting and worrying about his loyalty towards me. It's painful to go to bed every night wondering what he has been up to behind my back seeing as we're in a long distance relationship. Before she came into the picture I trusted him with my whole life. Now I can't say the same. I want to observe a spiritual fast for him and for him to have a change of heart and also for him to become a Godly Christian man, as well as for our future together. But I don't want to do it if it's all gonna be in vain later down the line. i am so confused. I really need someone to give me clearance from a Christian view. Please help me
  4. Christian fasting All the other religions fast . What is the difference ? Christian fasting is quite different from religious fasting. Christian fasting is to be done out of your hunger for God. It is the cry of the soul: this much God I want you. Fasting is not so much as abstaining from food as it is being focus on God and going deeper in surrendering to Him. Fasting position your heart to receive more of God so that you can live a life fully pleasing to Him. Fasting is a part of being a disciple: there is a dimension in the grace of God that you cannot attain but by prayer and fasting. Sanctify a fast call for a solemn assembly. If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray , seek my face and turn from their wicked ways .... https://worshipwarriorsministry.com.au/
  5. Does anyone believe in the power of prayer and fasting? I have gone on 3 40 day fast and God did not acknowledge me?
  6. Hey Worthy folks, I'm going to be doing a blog series on fasting, and I was interested to see what experiences you have had in this area.
  7. Hebrews 4:12,13 - "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of Him with whom we have to do." JESUS SAID IN MATTHEW 16:19, "I WILL GIVE UNTO THEE THE KEYS OF THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN." THEN INLUKE 11:52 HE REBUKED LAWYERS FOR TAKING AWAY THE KEY OF KNOWLEDGE. IN THAT VERSE HE WAS REFERRING TO THE WRITTEN WORD OF GOD. THE WRITTEN WORD OF THE LIVING GOD IS THE KEY TO ALL THINGS BECAUSE ALL THE KEY ISSUES TO EVERY SITUATION ARE COVERED IN ITS PAGES. EVERY PROBLEM SITUATION HAS A KEY ISSUE. SATAN TRIES TO HIDE THOSE KEYS IN ORDER TO KEEP HIS WORK IN PLACE. THAT'S THE REASON HIS DOINGS ARE CALLED WORKS OF DARKNESS. AND AS LONG AS PEOPLE TRY TO SOLVE PROBLEMS BY FIGURING THEM OUT IN THE NATURAL OR CARNAL REALM, THEY ARE STUMBLING AROUND IN DARKNESS. FOLLOWING THIS PROCESS WILL BRING DISASTER. NOT ONLY DOES THE LIGHT OF THE WORD REVEAL THE REAL PROBLEMS, BUT IT ALSO HAS WITH ITSELF THE POWER TO CHANGE EVERYTHING. Affirmations: ONE WORD FROM GOD CAN CHANGE MY LIFE FOREVER! I WALK IN THE WORD BECAUSE WALKING IN THE WORD IS THE MASTER KEY TO SUCCESSFUL LIVING. Psalm 119:130 - "The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple." "The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds has come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land." - Song of Solomon 2:12 The "voice of the turtle dove" is a prophetic voice that speaks God's heart cry into the empty, dead places on the earth. God is raising up the voice of the turtle dove in His Church, using the voices of those who have become mature, deeply humble and meek after their time in the wilderness with Him. This "singing of the birds", also known as (sincere) harmonious prophetic worship, is the key that opens the very windows of Heaven so that fresh revelation comes forth. This will happen wherever the Holy Spirit is welcomed. A new realm of spiritual understanding and experience is available to anyone who will say, "Yes, Lord. Give me ears to hear. Give me a hearing heart." "Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna..." -Revelation 2:17 2 Corinthians 4:17 says, "For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory." When we are fighting principalities, powers, and ungodly, wicked spirits in this world we can protect our vision by keeping a heart sensitive to God throughPRAYER, FASTING, AND THE MEDITATION ON HIS WORD that applies to your situation or problem. God's Word must be our balance and our love for God and people must be our motive for reaching souls. We must protect our vision. We must not grow weary in well doing. Breaking through into the spirit realm at first may seem very difficult, very tough. The struggle of one day of fasting pales in comparison to the benefits that we receive in destroying the works of the flesh and submitting ourselves to the law and direction of the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 10:13 tells us, "There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way of escape, that ye may be able to bear it." 8. John 4:24 - "God is a Spirit and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." Observation: My true heart's desire is what attracts Him, like a fragrance rising on the air. He whispers delicately all the while to my inmost being -- and until now I have tried to follow Him on my own, and failed. Now He will show me how to follow Him in Spirit. Matthew 17:17 - "Then Jesus answered and said, 'O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.'" Jesus made it clear to the disciples that the gift of God would remain dormant in them if they could not believe. OBSERVATION: When we walk in fear, doubt, and rembrance of failures we are robbed of our boldness, and we become unable to step out in God's ablilty. Jeremiah 32:17 - "Alas, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and by Your outstretched arm! There is nothing too hard or too wonderful for You." Affirmation: I AM NEVER AS FAR FROM A MIRACLE AS IT FIRST APPEARS. OBSERVATION: The spirit of the resurrected Christ is in you -- find it. That discovery releases extraordinary faith. It's the discovery of the person in you -- that partnership positions you to redefine the nature of the world around you. Matthew 7:7 - "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. In Luke 4:1-13, satan tempts Jesus with the offer of rulership over all the kingdoms of the world... Jesus rejects this proposal. Jesus' Kingdom in this age is not a kingdom of this world(John 18:36-37). He refuses to seek a kingdom for Himself by the worldly methods of compromise, earthly power, political maneuvering, external violence, popularity, honor and glory. Jesus' Kingdom is a spiritual Kingdom ruling in the hearts of His people, who have been taken out of the kingdoms of this world. As a Heavenly Kingdom, we can operate and maintain in this realm but it comes with a cost. It is gained through: Suffering, self-denial, humility, and meekness. It does require giving our bodies as a living and Holy sacrifice (Romans 12:1-2).Fasting is a key here that enables us to stay on target; We know we have complete devotion and obedience to God whenever we are struggling with spiritual weapons against sin, temptation, and satan (Ephesians 6:10-20). As Christians we resist conforming to this world. "But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6:33 Those who follow Christ are urged to seek, above all else, His Kingdom and His righteousness. Jesus points out HIS Kingdom and HIS righteousness in HIS Kingdom. We pray every day that God's Kingdom will come in the mighty power of the Holy Spirit to save sinners, to destroy the demonic, to heal the sick, and to magnify the name of our Lord and that we be given daily revelation of our CALLING on how to facilitate this. QUESTIONS TO ASK MYSELF: What are 3 areas of my life that I am adversly conforming to the world. 1. 2. 3. What actions am I going to take to re-align my priorites. 1. 2. 3. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  10. We all have areas where we are in great need of the Lord of Breakthrough, but remember that before God broke through David's enemies, he returned to the stronghold and inquired of the Lord. "And David enquired of the Lord.....And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them (the Philistines) there, and said, The Lord hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters." - 2 Samuel 5:19,20 RETURN TO THE STRONGHOLD Breakthrough is found in our private devotion and personal pursuit of God when no one is watching. If you are in need of breakthrough, make it a point to "return to the stronghold" and watch what the God of the Breakthrough does for you. When He breaks open, we break out. "The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head of them." - Micah 2:13 "Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you" (Zechariah 9:12). Jesus modeled this profound truth in His own life. We see in Luke 4:14 that His time of fasting in the wilderness produced great power as well as preparing and positioning Him for His next stage of life and ministry. Great miracles along with public demonstrations of tremendous power and authority were often preceded by significant time spent hidden away with His Father in secret. When we purpose to live a life of sacrificial devotion to our Father in the secret place through contemplative prayer and fasting, we and the world we live in will become greater for it. This is one way that we can say "yes" to the ebbing pull of the Spirit in our daily life. "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in him." - Nahum 1:7 David found the God of the Breakthrough in the stronghold, not on the field of battle. He is our stronghold. It is in our returning to Him that He restores, breaks through, and gives back more than what we had lost and better than we had! A DOOR OF GREAT HOPE "So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water." - Exodus 15:22 For many of us, we have experienced a wilderness while fulfilling God's PURPOSE for our life. We feel lonely, barren, and unfruitful. We have been so dry and thirsty that we find ourselves crying out to God in desperation. Our life is in disorder, and at times we are confused and irritated. God has a purpose for our wilderness -- He does NOT plan for us to stay there! God brought the Israelites out of Egypt for the purpose of not only proving their hearts, but also to give them an opening to be delivered from old thinking. Many of us feel that we have been pulled into a place that at first we did not see as necessary in our apprehension of God's CALLING in our life. Truth be told, it is in this place that we are prepared to inherit and fully occupy the promises. For some of us, it may feel like a wilderness, but if we can embrace His pull we will begin to know and experience the Lord in a new way. It is in the "valley" of our troubles that He establishes a door of great hope (see Hosea 2:14-23). Properly recognizing and engaging in the wilderness experience is as vitally important to our divine DESTINY as when the "walls came down" for Israel. There we begin to see God and the treasures of His PURPOSE for our life in a way that we have never seen before. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
