  1. For those of you who don't know, I had GERD. It was so bad I was getting physically sick nearly every day. I had pain all day long, I was not able to eat or drink anything without feeling severe pain, and then having multiple panic attacks after standing or moving for prolonged periods. It HURT so bad I thought I was having a heart attack, and this has happened more than once in my life. I have always had problems with acid reflux to some extent, but the last five to seven years have been really, really bad. It was so bad if affected my ability to work and even walk. Almost a week back, I received some healing from the Lord unbeknownst to me at the time. I ate four pieces of pizza, and had a glass of pop to wash it down as a "treat." Well, it took all the rest of that day, and all into the next day that I realized that I had "forgotten" to take my acid reflux medicine and then it dawned on me... I had pizza AND pop both. Both of which are no no's when you have severe acid reflux like what I had. Of course, everything I ate flared up my acid reflux but those two things for sure were things I was to definitely STAY away from. I was amazed, then I marveled, and then I was humbled but excited. GOD HAD HEALED MY GERD. Praise God! I believe more healing is to come. I can't wait to see what the Lord is doing in my life. <3 If God did it for me, he can do it for YOU too!
  2. Those still dealing with the pain of church hurt and healing and separation from those who have justified it with sayings like "eh they were learning"
  3. I have a man, a part-time pastor, in my Sunday School class who has cancer. He was going in view of a call at a near-by church in December when he found out he has pancreatic, liver, and other cancers. If you know cancer, you know what that means. It's tearing us all apart. He is the fill-in pastor for when our regular pastor is on mission trips, ill, or vacation. He's a wonderful preacher. He has finished radiation and has had 6-8 weeks of chemo. Three weeks ago, he had to leave Sunday School and had to be helped out to the car he was so weak. This morning, he was very cold [It was cold in there] and cried and he and his wife had to leave. Our hearts are breaking. He finds out tomorrow if the chemo is doing any good. I pray for hope. Tremendous hope. I know that chemo can get you to a very bad place physical and emotionally. He and his wife are just so nervous about tomorrow's report. His name is Eddie. Please pray for him.
  4. Please pray for my face spasms to go away. They have been on both sides since evening. Pain in the right cheek ones and especially intense muscle jumping below the left eye. Also, pains in the left temple of my head, etc. Really hard to function like this or even to sleep. Prayers for healing are much appreciated.
  5. Could you please pray for my son? He is in a great deal of pain with his back. Also, his shoulder. Thanks.
  6. Everywhere I turn I see a need for healing. Yet, when the word of God is presented, people get greatly offended, Matthew 11:6. There is a cause and effect for just about everything, Deuteronomy 28(!). When we sin and don’t repent of it, it will manifest itself physically over time, James 1:15. Hidden sin eats away at the person. For example hatred for another, cancer, bitterness, arthritis, anxiety (lack of peace) heart disease. This is the issue, dis-ease, i.e. not at peace. We’ve all been there. This is why James says to believe and confess, James 5:15-16. Believe what? All God’s promises are “Yes” and “Amen” (Greek and Hebrew), 2 Corinthians 1:20. Confess what? Our sins, 1 John 1:9. First, we MUST MUST MUST understand Who God is. He is love, 1 John 4:8. Evil doesn't befall us because of Him, but because of our actions and stupidity, Deuteronomy 28. We are under His protection when we obey Him, Psalms 91. The issue is the belief, not so much confession, but that’s equally as important. To believe something is to have a strong conviction about the subject. If I say “The sun will NOT rise tomorrow.” How many would have a strong conviction that my statement is true? No one. Yet, the word of God says someday it won’t, Isaiah 24:19-20. We live in a fallen world and all the information we gather is based on that fact. The truth is in the word of God which says we live in the shadow of the real, Hebrews 8:4; Colossians 2:7; 1 Corinthians 13:12. What is the real? The things not seen, the invisible, not the unknown, Hebrews 11:1 So, to quote Pilot, “What is truth?” John 18:38. Jesus and the word of God with the help of the Holy Spirit, John 16:13; 1 John 2:27. This question is linked to “What is faith?” Faith isn’t blind, Isaiah 1:18-20. The word faith doesn’t show up in the Hebrew Scriptures because it means actually “trust,” Habakkuk 2:4. In the Greek, it means to have a “strong conviction.” Immovable Faith is: • Faith is NOT blind • Faith is NOT taking a leap into the unknown • Faith has to do with the invisible not the unknown ○ Faith is seeing you pay your bills on time ○ Faith is seeing yourself healthy ○ Faith is seeing yourself full of energy at the end of the day Faith is a strong conviction that the things we do not see (health and peace) are there, we just need to take it, Matthew 11:12; Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24. Faith is built up like anything else, Romans 10:17. If we are to be good a mathematics, we must work out the problems. The more we do the better we get. To run a marathon, we must build up our stamina, Romans 1:17. The issue with Christians is they want microwave Christianity. We find out we're sick and we want instant healing. If we have the faith, it’ll happen, if not, we need to build up that faith. To build up our faith is by hearing the word of God, Romans 10:17. Every coach and motivational speaker has the proper understanding – see in our mind’s eye of being healthy. This isn’t easy believism, it’s changing our mind to execute what we believe based on the promises of God, Philippians 4:8-10. Imaging it helps us solidify the truth, Proverbs 23:7; Genesis 6:5. While the world says “Seeing is believing” in the scriptures is “believing is seeing.” If this were not so, the placebo effect would not be real. If you believe, you can change. This is based on the scriptures I’ve already posted above. But it’s also a choice. If we cannot get over the world view, we’ll never take by force the spiritual. Miracles are not for the perfect, but for the believing, Matthew 9:29. Hope is confident expectation of good. If we maintain hope of being healed, we create the capacity to see the evidence that it's possible, Romans 5:2-5. If we confidently expect to prosper, our mind will begin to work in such a way that we will begin to see the evidence that it is indeed possible. But if we think we're going to fail, then we'll see all the evidence pointing to failing. The evidence is there that we're going to succeed, and the evidence is there that we're going to fail. Literally, the tongue holds life or death for the path we choose, Proverbs 18:21; 1 Peter 3:10. It is just that simple. Believe the evidence based on the word of God and the finished work of Jesus or not. Our choice is whichever evidence we recognize for the outcome we expect. It's not that the "other" evidence isn't there. If we're not alive to the evidence for sickness, then sickness withers up and dies. If we're not alive to destructive things they eventually become unrecognizable in our environment. It's not that they don't go away if just that they're not going to have an effect on us. Remember something else about faith. Doubt is not the absence of faith. Doubt is the persuasion and deep belief in the evidence that is contrary to faith. Our problem isn't we don't have enough faith, our problem is our attention is on the evidence that proves it's not going to happen. When we have our attention on the evidence that says "I'm never going to get out of this," that's what doubt is. Faith is when we have our eyes on the evidence that says "I'm coming out of this!" This is how one becomes fully persuaded like Abraham, Romans 4:20-22. Finally, faith is not blind. We need to gather evidence of things. The greatest misconception is "Just take it by faith - blindly". Isaiah says "Come let us reason together" which is what God wants to do and why we have 66 books in the scriptures written by 40 penmen over thousands of years. It's to prove God's work through His promises. When people say "take it by faith" they're saying "just take it without evidence." If God says we can reason (to prove, decide, judge, rebuke, reprove, correct, be right) about our salvation, we can reason about everything else - get the evidence. Faith is not blind. Faith is based on very specific evidence. At Creation, God knew what He wanted and decided the outcome before He spoke anything. The process is understanding the desired outcome in your mind's eye, believing it in your heart and then speaking it into existence. We're made in God's image, and whatever we imagine, all things, if we believe, and ask for, it shall be given. Matthew 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. Romans 8:31-32 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? The choice is ours to believe or not. Period. Any ifs, thans, or buts, are just us not believing the plainly written word of God, Galatians 3:7; 3:26; Hebrews 11.
  7. O Lord, my Lord, my faithful and wonderful counselor. My faith for what I am asking for right now is a faith of which I have always longed. When I was young in the Lord, I used worked up faith, but now I just know. Thank you for stretching my faith. I come to you and ask that you look upon my son Christopher and bless him. He needs you! Heal his wounded heart and convince him of his true worth and value which is only in you. Chris is a treasure and a parents' dream. He works; pays his bills on time; saves his money; cares for others and helps others, and he is so loving, smart, intelligent and handsome. Lord, I see a clear pattern that has developed in Chris' relationships with young women ... 3 in the past 6 years... each one of them damsels in distress, and he became their knight in shining armor. But they were all 3 abusive verbally - screaming - excessive drinking - getting Chris to spend his money on their fun. And yes, in talking to us about it, he confessed his ownership in making relational mistakes - especially what he calls "anger issues" and "low self esteem". Lord, you are there when he talks to us. He is always second-guessing himself - searching for some magic fix that will make the girl love him. He wants so to be loved by a wife, but now it looks like he is somehow a target for young women who see his weakness for being the knight in armor. Chris has been honest and forthcoming with us; talking for hours and trying hard to understand WHY. It breaks my heart. Chris belongs to you, Lord, and he knows You are Lord even if he hasn't talked to you in a while. Lord, you saw what happened when he was 2 years old and I married his dad. His mother didn't come to see him or get him for 4 months. Then she repeatedly abandoned him until he was 14 and she stopped altogether until she found out he was grown and had a good job. Now, 23 years later, time and again, she reaches out to him only to ask for help or money, and he has given her money and tried to help her. The girls Christopher falls for he really tries to rescue - he is trying to win her love and acceptance by getting involved with women who remind him of her. He doesn't know that now, but he will know that and all you reveal to him, Lord Jesus. Lord, your son, Chris told us several times last week and tonight that he "really struggles with low self esteem and anger". He is desperate for a certain kind of love, and he is an amazing catch! But Lord, he is in the wrong pond! Get him to the right pond and throw him in! I speak life into my son's world. I speak as the Lord's ambassador and I bind the enemy from succeeding in his plans to wound my son further. I say what my Lord has said, that He abides in me as I abide in Him, and that the Lord will not dwell in the same house with the enemy! So devil, you have to leave my son and never return. Lord Jesus, fill Chris with the knowledge of your Word again. Replace what the devil has stolen - replace it and make it clear to Chris that You have intervened when he was in despair - that You have been made strong in his weakness. Lord, draw him away from these people he thinks are friends. He hates drugs, and yet drugs and alcohol - partying is their weekend ritual. Chris doesn't belong there! He belongs back in church; meeting Christian people and making friends; joining life groups and finding others he can confide in. Lord, if therapy will help, I ask that Chris make the appointments; that he do the hard work necessary for the renewing of his mind. Be all over this, Lord. You be the Therapist, and let Chris as well as his therapist hear from you. Enlighten Christopher's understanding about grace, redemption, God's faithfulness, sin battles, spiritual battles, and what your Word says about his worth and value. You answered the prayers of other women in the bible. I prayed for this child, and the LORD has granted me what I asked of him. 1 Samuel 1:27 He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the LORD! Psalm 113:9 - You gave me Christopher - make me a joyous mother again. I have loved him like he is my own son, and I am his mother. He is a witty and funny guy and makes people laugh all the time. But he has been unhappy for so long now. Remember Lord, Chris was always witnessing to his friends in high school. They were just drawn to him, and he eventually filled up 2 whole pews with young people... the pastor told us Chris had an anointing, and just like that, he bolted and ran. Lord, what is the calling on his life? Why does he travel BESIDE the path that You have laid for him? How did the enemy get Chris so gas-lighted? He hears lies from satan. Satan is a liar and the father of lies. My son is the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus! You are the Healer and the Redeemer! You are God! You are the Word! You created the universe and set every star and planet just right so that mankind can live and thrive on Earth and worship you. You made us in your image. Christopher is like you. Lord, this desperate need for love at any price is the enemy's false version of love, and he has set traps for Chris. Spring those traps before Chris ever gets close to them and instead, let him find your love. Let Chris know you in a deep and intimate way. “You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:3 His dad and I have planted seeds of love and of your Word into his heart for weeks now as he comes to us for help and advice. When he has been drawn close, Lord, pull him or yank him the rest of the way back into the light! Give Chris a Christian wife who seeks wisdom; a gentle soul with her priorities straight and who will love him with the love of Christ. Let Chris know joy in becoming more and more an example of Christ toward his wife and toward the children he will have. Let his wife illustrate the strength and faithfulness of Christ's bride; the Church. Let them find in each other the many many ways of finding You. Give Chris friends who never tear him down or participate in destructive lifestyles. Change his world! Turn him back - run to him and fall on his face. Kiss him. Celebrate. Bless him. And rejoice, my Lord! Fill his heart and soul and mind with oil of joy for his wounds and mourning; give him your beauty for his ashes. Teach your precious Christopher how to abide in peace - even through all his struggles. In Jesus' name, I pray AMEN.
  8. I received a call today from my mom's nursing home. The wound nurse was happy to report that the size of her large ulcer sore is shrinking more this week. Healthier skin is filling in. The Lord is merciful. Praise unto His Name!
  9. I am happy and excited to post this praise report. My mom was in the hospital for 4 things at once. One of them is resolved. The Lord has healed her of cellulitis. It is all cleared up now! So faded that they can't even see it anymore. Just had to share that with my Worthy brothers and sisters.
  10. My son is having bad ear aches. Please pray for God's healing. (In the meanwhile for them to not be too intense/frequent.) Thanks.
  11. Hello! I am new around here, and only a week or so old when it comes to being on worthy. I shared a part of my testimony in the forums, and was well greeted. So thank you! I want to expound a little on my testimony here. For those of you who have not seen my testimony, I would like to take a moment to catch you up on a few things. Nearing the end of 2015 I was severely ill and was hospitalized. I didn't realize it at the time though, and I spent a great deal of time in the hospital. It was there I was diagnosed with a plethora of different mental health issues. Anxiety, depression, and PTSD among many others that I cannot all name. I am still currently on medication, and under doctors care until I am "declared" by the doctors to no longer need them. I am hoping that with my recent healing, which I will tell you about in a moment, that I will be able to make a full recovery and get back up on my feet. Now, to my healing and additional baptism of the holy spirit: I had popped into an online chat room on a video feed from youtube. It was of a fairly well known church, and they were holding a prayer service. I had popped in for the sole reason of letting others know that someone, whom is also well known, was sick and was in need of prayer. I didn't do much chatting but I stuck around. Perhaps it was an inclination of what was to come? I digress, my visit wasn't in vain. The pastor of this church received a word of knowledge while praying aloud. It was about someone who was watching online. This person was heavily afflicted with a spirit of suicide. My eyes got wide. That's me! I thought. I stuck around to hear more but nothing more was said other than they had prayed for the spirit to be removed. I briefly chatted on and off with some of the people in the chatroom. I saw that one brother was announcing that, if anyone needed healing he would speak to them through facebook. I went to facebook and messaged him immediately. The wait was on! I thought he might not get around to me that night, because there were others that were asking for healing as well. It was getting later and later in the evening. It was then he reached out and contacted me through facebook. We spoke a little before he called me through messenger. He began telling me of the father's love for me, and what Jesus had done for me in order for myself to be healed. He had words of knowledge that only could come from God. Things he would have never known in the natural. Things only God and I would know. I have to admit I was a little surprised. I had never received words like this before. He spoke of different ailments, injuries, and even the illnesses that have affected me for most of my life. He addressed the "smaller" issues first, but what an impact it had on me! One of my legs, which was shorter than the other grew out! Something that I had dealt with on and off in my life, but was painful to deal with. Then he proceeded to my back. Since I was off kilter when walking I was in pain. God healed that as well. Then came the BIG ONE. Not only had I had a serious injury when I was younger, my head was not all the way in the car and I slammed the door shut on it. It hurt for awhile but then faded.. God wanted to not only heal me of my mental health issues, but that old traumatic injury as well. The Lord healed that old injury through that man. I was then healed of my mental health issues, and could feel a tingling on the side of my head. The man spoke words of life to my brain, and each part was healed with the help of the holy spirit. At some point, I cannot remember when but I had started crying. I was so happy! This is what I had been waiting for! I had asked on and off for the healing and it had not yet come. I had all but given up on it, but before all this healing began my hope and belief was rekindled. I held onto that hope, that belief very tightly. This man, I had met, continued to minister to me until I had heard him say, "Did you ever ask to be baptized in the Holy Spirit?" I was floored! I had been asking on and off for that too, but had not yet received an answer. Jesus even showed up in my room and had wrapped his arm around me. I was ecstatic! It was then I asked him to baptize me in the holy spirit. He did so and I felt something come on me. I couldn't quite make it out, but my left side of my head was tingling again. I then thanked the Lord for all he had done. It was there that this brother in Christ had told me about who I was in Christ, and that he would send a book full of scripture to show me who I was. I gladly accepted that book, and am currently reading it, albeit slowly. I find myself going back over certain parts to see how it all plays together. It has not fully sunk in yet, but I've made great breakthroughs lately with God's help. And now, I am currently going to start attending classes about how to move in the gifts of the holy spirit, and I will learn how to be submissive to the spirit so he can work with me to help others. I looked forward to many wonderful adventures with our Lord. ❤️
  12. Please pray for my daughter who has been having bad stomach trouble since Friday. She needs a healing touch from the Lord.
  13. Please pray God will heal my neck (left side especially) and my back; that He takes away the pain and restores things.
  14. Concerned for my son. leg problems are making it hard for him to walk/work. Please pray for his healing
  15. Daily Reading 22 If you prefer, you can look up the following verses in your own Bible, of by whatever means and in whatever version you choose. Luke 17 Genesis 29:1-30 Psalm 22 Audio 4:22 Audio 4:45 Audio 3:48 The above addresses are linked to Bible Gateway. That is an easy way to read (or listen to) the Bible verses, and choose your version. Personally, I prefer written, that way I can go at my own pace, on think about it, before moving on. Nothing wrong with doing either or both. The Bible says faith comes by hearing. See the picture below to get an idea of what to expect if you follow the above links. Thank you Lord for making the your word so accessible for us in these times. Amen
  16. This poem is in honor of my beloved mom... And most of all, is in gratitude for how the Lord has been mercifully and faithfully caring for her... watching over her ever since she nearly died on March 9th Healing Healing comes from God on high (Though wrought through human hands) And miracles are gifts from God That no one understands. Healing from our Maker... Undertaking our repair Is one of many ways He says,"I made you and I care." Healing through white blood cells In a wondrous, complex fashion... Closing wounds and fading scars Are signs of His Compassion. Broken bones that mend And all the pain He takes away Are reasons that we have To thank Him each and every day. Special praise goes out to God for the recent healing of a serious blood infection (for which she was hospitalized) and the direct answer to prayer for them finally putting her back on the ventilator to assist with breathing difficulties.
  17. They called me on Mom's CT scan results- saying it showed some obstruction from a stone/or stones (gall bladder) She was taken by ambulance to a hospital. Please pray they take good care of her and her (ERCP) procedure goes well. On Tuesday they'll do an ERCP. It is a procedure that looks at the bile ducts. It is done through an endoscope. Here is a description: After the sedative takes effect, the endoscope is inserted through the mouth. It goes through the esophagus (food pipe) and stomach until it reaches the duodenum (the part of the small intestine that is closest to the stomach). The procedure is used mostly to treat or diagnose problems of the pancreas or bile ducts that can cause abdominal pain (most often in the right upper or middle stomach area) and yellowing of the skin and eyes (jaundice). ERCP may be used to: Open the entry of the ducts into the bowel (sphincterotomy) Stretch out narrow segments (bile duct strictures) Remove or crush gallstones Diagnose conditions such as biliary cirrhosis or sclerosing cholangitis Take tissue samples to diagnose a tumor of the pancreas, bile ducts, or gallbladder Drain blocked areas
  18. How hard is it to be a follower of Christ? It’s not simple but life is hard in general. Jesus says; Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. There is always a solution for every problem.
  19. Thoughts For Day 2 *Luke 6:10-11 After looking around at them all, He said to him, “Stretch out your hand!” And he did so; and his hand was restored. But they themselves were filled with rage, and discussed together what they might do to Jesus. I think what caused the Pharisees to be filled w/rage was that they had pride which caused jealousy, and fear which caused them to want to harm Jesus. I also think this is a good life lesson for us to want good for others, and not to find fault in them. *Luke 6:19 And all the people were trying to touch Him, (Jesus) for power was coming from Him and healing them all. If you are sick, you would do almost anything to be healed, to make your sickness go away. I would imagine people were pushing in line, and crowding others to touch Jesus for healing. I also think it's amazing that literal healing power was radiating out of Him. Just to be in His physical presence, in His shadow would be a gift in and of itself to see the miracles! But how much more powerful to experience that kind of physical healing this side of heaven yourself! Another interesting thing is that He passed this power onto the apostles as part of the establishment of the church. My God never ceases to amaze me! *Genesis 3:12-13 12 The man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me from the tree, and I ate.” Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” Playing the blame game – even when we blame others, if we choose to follow their leading making a poor choice, we're still accountable. Sometimes the consequences can be very severe, but God forgives! *Genesis 3: 21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife, and clothed them. The first fur coat. I've heard some say fig leaves, but it says skin here, which would have to be of an animal (s). The important thing is that God always provides!
  20. The miracle of Mom's smile...is what I praise the Lord for today! After her serious brain injury on March 9th, Mom had lost many functions... Including her ability to smile. We were led by all the 'experts' to believe she would never get these back. This Sunday my daughter went out to see her at the nursing home. She was greeted by an aide who said, "She's having a really good day today!" My daughter was puzzled (since Mom has not been able to show expression since the injury.) "What do you mean?" she asked the aide. "When I came into her room today she had her eyes open and gave me a big, beautiful smile." She described Mom as being in a good mood or happy! Needless to say, she was shocked but overjoyed. As soon as she left the nursing home, she called me excitedly with this wonderful news. When it comes to the Almighty, never say never. What an Awesome God we serve! I am humbled by His power and His mercy.
  21. Mom went into the hospital today. Please pray for her protection, healing and good medical care.
  22. Please pray for me for healing. I am feeling sick to my stomach. Also, I pulled my back and it hurts between my shoulder blades.
  23. I have been having painful muscle spasms in my back and neck. I really need the Lord to ease these. Please pray for healing for me.
  24. Two prayer requests for a friend 1) That he will stop rebelling and get right with God... Both he and I have doubts about if he is genuinely saved or not. 2) For God's healing of a recent injury of his right thumb.
