Father forgive all those who play with spiritual things that they ought not to be playing with; primarily church people. Forgive those who might have had the best intentions but got it ALL Wrong. Father forgive them for they know not what they do. Amen

Imagine being a kid in that. 15 dead so far, most of them kids on the team. Just horrific. Prayers are needed for the families and survivors!

I have the best kids.... So, last night, strong storms blew through, 60+mph winds, and electricity went out. My 2 youngest who still live at home came into my room and we passed time talking because it was stuffy and humid and .....quiet. lol I wasn't feeling well, and the 2 of them were talking mostly quietly... as I dozed. The room was pitch black. As I'm dozing, I hear giggles and laughter ... and my son says, "Mom's asleep... let's keep it down." Pretty soon he says, "Hey... wanna play I Spy?" (lol) My daughter giggled and then replied ... "Umm, it's pitch black... we can't see anything." My son... "That makes it really easy if everything's the same color." (lol) The two of them really busted up over that (quietly, of course) ... they decided they'd attempt playing by memory of what's in the room. Haha! I love my kids so much, making a somewhat unpleasant situation into something fun.... and they didn't know I was listening in .... I'm so blessed! *my 2 youngest at home ... daughter, age 18; son, age 15*

This is a true story, my work is near to a school (Stoke Damerel Community College, in Plymouth, UK), and as I was passing by, I was asked by a 15 to 16 year old boy loitering outside the school, what time it was. "5 to 9," I said, but he did not understand and he asked me but how long is it until 9 O'Clock. "5 minutes to 9," I said this time, but he still did not understand and he asked me but how long is it until 9 O'Clock. I then said 5 minutes and at last he understood!

I read this today and wanted to get your thoughts... What do you think of this? Does this sort of thing happen in your church? God bless, GE If a church doesn’t want our baby when she is quiet and cute, they don’t want us. Do you have any immediate red flags when you are looking for a new church for your kids? http://www.minivanministries.com/church/let-the-children-come-to-me-or-at-least-to-church/

In bringing up our son in God's truth I cam accross this quesiton last night with my wife... The question was this: How do we approach made-up figures like Santa Clause, the Toothe Fairy, the Ester Bunny, etc. when educating our children? I have some thoughts on the matter but I would like to get others perspectives on this. Before the thread get's going I was wondering if we could all who post on this thread agree to the following. A. I agree God is love. (John 3:16, 1 John 4:9-12,John 13:34-35, Romans 5:8) B. I agree God loves us. (Psalm 37:28, Proverbs 8:17, Deuteronomy 7:9, 1 John 3:1) C. I agree nothing can separate us from God’s love (Rom. 8:37-39) D. I agree we need to be sensitive to what the Holy Spirit teaches us through His Word. He primarily speaks to us through His Word which is good for teaching, correcting, rebuking, and training in righteousness. (2 Tim. 2:16-17) E. I agree God uses other Believers to stretch us and grow us. (Prov. 27:17) F. I agree sometimes we can do good things with good intentions with the wrong motivations. (Prov. 21:2, Matt. 6:1, Gal. 1:10, Phil 2:3) G. I agree we, Christians, are ambassadors for Christ (2 Cor. 5:20) who should be known by our love for others. (John 13:35) H. I agree we are citizens of Heaven as Christians (Phil. 3:20) passing through strange lands. (1 Pet. 2:11-12) I. I agree we are to love God above all else (Matt. 22:37) and love our neighbors as ourselves. (Matt. 22:39) If so just start your post by saying... "I agree" please.
