Wisdom is the insight of knowledge, insight into the secrets and mysteries of life. The Bible says in Proverbs 4:7 that wisdom is the principal thing, the capital you need for whatever you want to achieve in life: “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Notice that it doesn’t stop at enjoining you to get wisdom; it goes further to say, “Along with wisdom, get understanding.” Spiritual understanding is just as important as wisdom in building a successful life. You may have the wisdom to start something, but you need understanding to establish it, and then knowledge of how to make consistent progress from glory to glory. In Colossians 1:9 the Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, prayed for us to be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding. Knowledge here is exact or full knowledge of God. Through this kind of knowledge, you make your life glorious: your life (the house) is filled with all precious and pleasant riches. Wisdom, understanding, and knowledge go together. You need all three to be effective, and to live the extraordinary life of success, dominion, victory and excellence that God has ordained for you.

As someone who knows many young adults who are seemingly going the way of the world, I wanted to look into the topic of "the mind". I confess that this study was originally done because I have an older son who is totally focused on the things of the world at this time and I did this study with him in mind. I welcome your input and studies with regard to the Word on this matter...as I think it is a very important topic for those of us who wish we had something on hand to help us witness and testify to how important it is to examine what we are "thinking about". It is also a reminder for us as Christians to be "mindful" of these things as well. What Is On Your Mind? Romans 8:5-7 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Ephesians 2:3, 4:17 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Philippians 3:19 19 Whose end is destruction, whose God is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame, who mind earthly things. Titus 1:15 15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled. BE RECONCILED AND RENEWED IN MIND Colossians 1:21 21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, Hebrews 10:16 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; Ephesians 4:22-24 22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; 23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; 24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness. Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Philippians 2:5 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: 1 Cor. 2:16 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ. Col. 3:2 (NKJV) 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Romans 12:2 - "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." The place where Jesus was crucified was called "Golgotha", which meant "place of the skull." If I will be effective in spiritual warfare, the first field of conflict where I must learn warfare is the batleground of the mind; ie. the "place of the skull." Joshua 1:6 - "Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them." True soldiers of Christ resolve to die every day to this world so that they live for the sake of the Gospel. It is time for courage to enable us to lift a sword that never leaves our hands again -- it never gets put on the mantle. Every day is a day of conquest -- every day is a day for king Jesus to be glorified -- it is called courage. Affirmation: COURAGE MAKES ME DO EXTRAORDINARY THINGS FOR GOD EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF IMPOSSIBLE CIRCUMSTANCES. Proverbs 28:1 - "The wicked flee when no man pursues them, but the righteous are bold as a lion." 1 Corinthians 2:11 - "As for a man, it is his own spirit within him that knows all about him; in the same way only God's Spirit knows all about God." Observation: GOD COMMUNICATES WITH ME THROUGH MY SPIRIT. IT IS GOD'S SPIRIT THAT BEARS WITNESS WITH MY SPIRIT THAT I AM A SON OF GOD. Romans 8:14 - "For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

I was struggling with my faith. I was caught in a wedge between choosing what I wanted to do instead of what God wanted for me. In the end I ended up leaving my residence and left on a bus on my own accord to go where I wanted. But halfway into the trip I felt nothing but pure spiritual agony. I had turned my back on God. I knew that what I was doing was gravely wrong. I was looking at verses such as Romans 1:28 where it talks about people being turned over to reprobate minds. How God gives them just what they want and turn them over to eternal damnation. The thought of all this almost made me puke. I felt sick to the point of faint at the though of being stamped unworthy and useless. I walked out on God.. This whole thing about being a reprobate terrified me. I'm turning back now and am on my way to make things right and totally surrender my life to Christ for good. I don't care what happens to me anymore or what others will think of me. I fear God more than man now. As long as I have Him, I don't ever want to turn back. Am I marked? Is it too late? Am I like Esau who gave up his inheritance for a plate of food, only to seek it back in tears and unable to receive it again? I read that a rebrobate mind is devoid of all sound judgment and left to do things that are unseemly. I don't feel I've quite reached this mindset yet.. not after this scare.. THE POWER OF YOUR MIND Success and failure are products of thoughts. It matters what your thoughts are. God has given us a special instrument to help us appropriate and come to the full possession of the blessings of God. That's our mind. Your mind is unlimited in its potentials to create whatever you desire. When you put your mind power to work, the possibilities are endless. What you become in life is largely determined by the content and the quality of your mind, because with your mind you can change anything about you. The content and character of your mind must be rich enough to pull toward you what you want . The way to transform, improve and upgrade your life is by renewing your mind. Who you are today is a function of your mind. Your personality is the expression of the contents and working of your mind. Proverbs 23vs7 If you don't learn how to process your thoughts and mind the rich deposits of your inward man, you'll get nothing from it and it reflects in the quality of your life. You are not better than your thoughts. You are your thoughts. If your thoughts are better this , you would have been better than where you are. You wouldn't have been where you are right now. In other words , your present status is a product of your thoughts. You created you present status . To be successful in life is not a matter of I couldn't but it's a case of I wouldn't. It's a choice. Romans 12:2. Your mind will influence your emotions. Your real character is not formed by your spirit but your mind. Consciously disallow negative thoughts. Don't accommodate negative thoughts Your life will always go in the direction of your thoughts. You can't be different from your thoughts. Channel your thoughts the way God wants you to go.Using your mind right is your ticket to the next and higher level you desire. I have a hard time getting myself to detach from situations that are unbalanced and that I know is not adding up or fair. I see biased thinking and I can be all over for years trying to analyse it and understand it. Honestly, I really want them to go away it's more of a problem then it seems to be a gift. I'm curious as to what I should do, I know I should talk to God about ti but what else can I do? or is that all it takes?
