  1. Hello Worthy Forums, I made it here by the skin of my teeth. Honestly, I feel like the simple fact that I can bring myself to even join and post in this forum at all is a testimony to the Grace and Mercy of God and Jesus Christ working in my life. That all sounds good and all but there's a part of me that feels like I'm just spouting off the things that might get me some kind of pat on the back. I don't really know where to begin but I need Jesus Christ and I need him desperately. I guess that's as good a beginning as any, right? Maybe we shouldn't get into the occult 'blood-over-intent' ritual I performed while incarcerated, at my most fearful/angry/broken point, where I made a pact with the devil that I would renounce Jesus and the Father and give my soul, my mind, my body over to Satan in exchange for freedom and favor in the eyes of the courts or how I signed it in blood. That might be too much for some people but I guess I'm going to overshare. That or how I've destroyed virtually every relationship I've ever had, with family, with friends, with romantic partners. Or how I've polluted my brain with every imaginable type of pornographic filth, fetish and depravity (and things that no decent person would dare to conjure in their minds) that has all but totally warped my perception of myself and those around me. Or should we talk about how I grew up in the Church (protestant, non-denominational) and 'studied' the Bible with such a fervent spirit on fire for the Lord, at least outwardly, but took every possible chance to sow seeds of discord and dissension amidst my peers. If there is a sin, trust me, I've committed it. And if I haven't done it, I've thought about it and fantasized about it. And yes, I am confessing before God and all of you here, that means everything. One of the only things that brings me consolation and comfort at all is this verse in Romans that says " For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." I know that God loves me, even as depraved and filthy and shameful and horrendous as I am. I know that He sent His Son Jesus to die for my sins so that I might be saved. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. But no matter what I do, no matter how many altar calls I've gone to, no matter how many times I've been baptized (yes, more than once), no matter what I do, there's SOMETHING that keeps me from living a victorious Christian life (does that even exist? maybe my understanding of what that means is flawed?). The devil would have me blame myself, blame my mental illnesses, blame God, blame my wildly abusive parents and traumatic childhood, blame drugs, blame the world, blame everything I possibly can point the finger at. But what if it's been the devil all along? I want to DIE TO MY SIN. My flesh LOVES my sin but I know that my sin separates me from having a relationship with Jesus and I'm SO lonely, I'm so scared, I'm SO broken and I cannot continue living this way without Jesus, without really knowing Him. I can't be a lukewarm Christian anymore. It is ALL or nothing. Will Jesus still take me? Can I be forgiven? - Christopher Michael
  2. I'm Shelbie. I'm 23 years old. I'm here because I don't have many christian friends and I needed to seek like minded people in order to stay on the right track. I'm definitely luke warm, battling with sexual sin, lust, pornography, and masturbation. The topic is extremely sensitive for me but I want so badly to do right by God and to be clean and pure in his presence. My constant battle with my flesh has also left me depressed and discouraged, as if I'll never amount to anything more than a sinner. I know that I can have better and that I can do better but i don't. I truly need help and I'm too ashamed to speak to those around me. So this is sort of like my last resort.
  3. Hi I'm new and just saying hello.

  7. Hi all, It is my honor to have become one of your newest members. I decided to join two large Christian forums to find and offer inspiration from/to other Christians. Entering heavy disputes is not my strongest point, I prefer to seek the unity among Christians. On the day of my birth I was baptized in a Roman Catholic church. In one forum I saw Catholicism mentioned as a “sect”, but I hope for a more open-minded attitude here. In my daily life I get along extremely well with Christians of quite different denominations. Among things important for me as a Christian are: the continuous search for inspiration, both from within and from without; room for the mystery that, for me as a human being, is associated with Godly matters; and, as I said, the unity among Christians. I am worried about the negative approach to Christianity nowadays, and happy if I feel the presence of God. I worship Jesus Christ and think a lot of His suffering for us. For me, prayer is very important, as is meditation. If I make it empty in myself, the Spirit typically fills it. That is how I like to see it. The remainder of today I am bound to find little time for answering your reactions, but I sort of count on there being a tomorrow. In God I trust.
  8. Hello! Just wanted to say thank you for making this forum open to me! It’s nice to be talking to other believers and challenged as well.
  9. Hi. I just signed up for the forums, and I'm looking forward to meeting new friends. I hope everyone has a great day. Question: do the required posts needed to verify I'm not a spammer have to be new posts, or do replies count? (Sorry, if this is a stupid question.)
  10. Sense God’s Peace To peace as my mind’s chatter becomes numb. … From dumb ones’ mindless matters. It is all up to He to set my brain free- Becoming less flesh; naughty body! God’s Spirit breaks free past chains misery, Drowning in sorrow, sin pained. Let me again pray for you, friend, Replacing my rant on the mend. In the Lord I place you to soothe stress gone through. Now on this new page I will write Christ answers for you. He’s how I got through Healed, restored full; reborn new. I thought that you knew [all In the mind true] Whom Calms stormy seas. He Makes us all be Still, sensed God’s Word peacefully. ~ Sense God’s Peace ~ 2018 ~ Gregory KJ Brumwell 11 Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you. ~ 2 Corinthians 13:11 (NIV) 19 lines #MindOfGod #JesusChrist #Sin #Peace

  17. Hello to all, My name is Audrey and I am brand new to this site. I just wanted to introduce myself and hopefully get to know some of you as well. I am 24 years old and live in southern California where I am currently studying in a nursing program. My family (parents & siblings) and I recently moved back to California after spending the past 4 years living abroad traveling various places in Spain and England. We mostly spent time with family who lives in these parts of the world, but also did some solo travel too. I am grateful for the years that I was able to do this, but alas all journeys have to come to an end at some point, right? I am now pursuing my nursing career and studying hard to get there. I love the Lord with all of my heart and hope to find other like-minded people to share the Gospel with here. An interesting tidbit about me is that my family has seven dogs, 3 of which I call my own . Have a good day! Audrey
  18. Hi, my name is Seren. I was looking for some Christian fellowship as I am basically a shut in (disabled). My husband and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary. No kids, but an abundance of nieces and nephews. Looking forward to getting to know people!
  19. Hi I am a newbie. I want to say hello and hope that I can contribute to Worthy 😊
  20. (I'm quoting words from a man who wrote this about 1,800 years ago! This man's teacher was Polycarp who was taught by John the disciple of Christ. Please hear his call to compare things.) If any one, therefore, reads the Scriptures with attention, he will find in them an account of Christ, and a foreshadowing of the new calling. For Christ is the treasure which was hid in the field, that is, in this world; but the treasure hid in the Scriptures is Christ, since He was pointed out by means of types and parables. Hence His human nature could not be understood, prior to the consummation of these things which had been predicted, that is, the advent of Christ. And therefore it was said to Daniel the prophet: "Shut up the words, and seal the book even to the time of consummation, until many learn, and knowledge be completed. For at that time, when the dispersion shall be accomplished, they shall know all these things." But Jeremiah also says, "In the last days they shall understand these things." For every prophecy, before its fulfilment, is to men [full of] enigmas and ambiguities. But when the time has arrived, and the prediction has come to pass, then the prophecies have a clear and certain exposition. And for this reason, indeed, when at this present time the law is read to the Jews, it is like a fable; for they do not possess the explanation of all things pertaining to the advent of the Son of God, which took place in human nature; but when it is read by the Christians, it is a treasure, hid indeed in a field, but brought to light by the cross of Christ, and explained, both enriching the understanding of men, and showing forth the wisdom of God and declaring His dispensations with regard to man, and forming the kingdom of Christ beforehand, and preaching by anticipation the inheritance of the holy Jerusalem, and proclaiming beforehand that the man who loves God shall arrive at such excellency as even to see God, and hear His word, and from the hearing of His discourse be glorified to such an extent, that others cannot behold the glory of his countenance, as was said by Daniel: "Those who do understand, shall shine as the brightness of the firmament, and many of the righteous as the stars for ever and ever." Thus, then, I have shown it to be, if any one read the Scriptures. For thus it was that the Lord discoursed with the disciples after His resurrection from the dead, proving to them from the Scriptures themselves "that Christ must suffer, and enter into His glory, and that remission of sins should be preached in His name throughout all the world." And the disciple will be perfected, and [rendered] like the householder, "who bringeth forth from his treasure things new and old."
  21. Daily Reading 30 If you prefer, you can look up the following verses in your own Bible, of by whatever means and in whatever version you choose. Luke 22:1-38 Genesis 39 Psalm 30 Audio 7:58 Audio 3:08 Audio 1:32 The above addresses are linked to Bible Gateway. That is an easy way to read (or listen to) the Bible verses, and choose your version. Personally, I prefer written, that way I can go at my own pace, on think about it, before moving on. Nothing wrong with doing either or both. The Bible says faith comes by hearing. See the picture below to get an idea of what to expect if you follow the above links. Note: The audio will not play the exact verses, it will play the whole chapters, in which the verses exist. Thank you Lord for making the your word so accessible for us in these times. Amen
  22. Hello everyone. It has been years since I've used forums... hopefully this will be an edifying experience. I look forward to meeting sincere Christians who truly love Jesus and long to live by his teachings and example. I am currently in the Philippines on a short 2 month mission trip, but actually live in Argentina with my wife and other brothers and sisters in Christ. I've only been using a smart phone for the last 2 weeks. I plan to use it while I am here in the Philippines (somewhat of necessity) but hope to go back to my old just-text-and-call phone, and laptop for communication. Anyway, I hope to get to know some of you and encourage one another in following Jesus all the way.
  23. Hi! I am new here. What topic in Christianity do you like the most?
  24. Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I'm new here, and I thought this would be an interesting place to meet and fellowship with other Christian people. A little about me. I'm 29 years old, I live and come from a small town called New Market, AL. I'm very family oriented and love Jesus Christ my personal Lord and Savior. I'm not the perfect ideal Christian man, and I can't claim to be, because I know that even as a Christian, I'm still going to stumble from time to time. But I know Christ redeems me, and His sacrifice on the cross paid the ultimate price not just for my souls sake, but for the sake of the entire world, whether they be enemy or friend with God. My hope here is to build some strong ties and with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ and be able to continue to share the good news which is Christ Jesus.
  25. Hi, everyone! My name is Kira and I’m very excited to be here. I recently opened my heart to God after 29 years as an Atheist. I hope to learn new things here and actually meet my very first Christian friends on here! I hope to find a few people locally as well because I would love to have a Bible Study Buddy and it’s been hard to find one. See you around!
