The reason I ask is because as we all know, 'Thou shalt not kill' is one of the Ten Commandments. I do understand just how horrendously brutal Osama bin Laden was, but does that excuse those who played a role in his death from punishment? -
"They are going up partly because they are not getting the training they should get. They're going up because maintenance is harder and harder to accomplish. They are going up because the airplanes are getting older and older," said House Armed Services Committee Chairman Mac Thornberry, R-Texas, in an interview with Fox News. Thornberry said President Obama has effectively sent more U.S. troops into harm's way without paying for the increase in costs. "When the president sends more people to Afghanistan more people to Iraq, he doesn't ask for more money. The costs just come out of the training, the maintenance and the readiness of our force. The problem is getting worse," he told Fox News. "I worry about my young aviators that aren't getting the number of hours they need to. Although it might be that some people of college age and younger, might not know it, but there was a time when it was actually o.k. to talk like this, and not be considered as some sort of primitive, abnormal, hater. In those days, Republicans where not ashamed to be known as Republicans and even Democrats saw little need to be ashamed to be Americans. Now, being that this is a Christian forum, I want to make sure that it is understood that it is okay to have differences of opinion, and that one can be a political 'progressive' and a Democrat and a Christian as well. However, it is my opinion, that there are times to disagree with the leadership of any political party, and hold them responsible to the voters (and even non voters) to do what is right. Ultimately, our leader is God, and our obligations are to Him, but as long as we are an influence in the world, to the degree which we are, we need to follow out consciences before Him on these sorts of matters. I find the passion and conviction of this man, to be inspiring, and the sort of thing we need, regardless of whether we agree with him on this particular position, it is time for boldness in speech and action, and not cowering in compromise to a media that seeks to guide the country as it sees fit. -

Secret Service Arrests Armed Man for Alleged Obama Threat A view of the apartment in Federal Way, Wash., where authorities swept for explosives after arresting a man for emailing threats against President Obama. Federal agents in Washington state have arrested an armed man accused of making threats against President Obama. U.S. Secret Service agents and local law enforcement officers descended on the suspect's apartment complex in Federal Way, Wash., on Tuesday afternoon, sources said. The man, armed with at least two weapons, confronted the officers, who swiftly subdued him and took him into custody. Secret Service Assistant Special Agent in Charge Bob Kierstead told local ABC News affiliate KOMO that suspicious items found in the man's apartment -potential explosive devices - prompted a sweep of the entire complex by a bomb squad. Obama, who was campaigning in Ohio at the time, did not appear to be in immediate danger. "A threat against the president was delivered via email to a general FBI inbox," said Cathy Schrock with the Federal Way Police. "The Secret Service went down to investigate and the defendant was found to be armed when they arrived at the apartment." The suspect, whose name has not been released, is currently in federal custody and will have an initial court appearance Wednesday afternoon, sources said.Also Read

Regardless of how we vote or our personal political affilation, what is really going to get better with this election? From a christian point of view neither party is right. It's not a matter of degrees, or this party is not as bad as that party. Wrong is wrong and evil is evil. Both parties have allowed greed to be acceptable, following idol worship to be encouraged, Christ to be removed from the public arena, and done nothing to stop sex and violence to be celebrated. Both parties have had a part in this country turning the direction away from Christ. So what exactly do you think for better or worse will change with this election? Is there any hope this country will turn back to Christ? P.S. If anyone is curious, I'm an Independent and not sure. Still praying on this, A muslim sympathizer or a ultra-rich flip flopper, either way tough choice.
