I was at a bible study recently. One of those in attendance said she attempted to make both Christianity and New Age work together. She eventually realized this was not possible. I wondered how many others once dabbled in New Age belief before becoming a believer,or attempted to hold on to it after being saved? It seems many professing believers see no issue with holding onto New Age and similar while professing Christ. New Age itself claims Jesus was only a prophet, while Jesus Himself said He was THE Son of God.New Age says there are multiple ways to God. Christianity says there is only one way through Christ. The two are not compatible. I just could not understand how a person can see any association between two strongly opposing teachings.

I avoided watching Harry Potter films and also the books because I heard there is a lot of magic being conducted in the movie and in the book. Furthermore, LOL, I'm an adult male, and Harry Potter films is nerdy stuff. However, when Marvel Comic book movies like the Dr. Strange movie and all the Avenger movie series came out, I had mixed feelings because I really like Marvel and DC movies and cartoons. However, Marvel characters like Dr. Strange and DC characters like Fate conduct magic in the movies and cartoons. Is acceptable for a Christian to watch the aforementioned the entertainment even though all this magic stuff happens in them? If no/yes, please elaborate.

Shalom everyone, On July 23rd, begins the 3 week FAST that proceeds the 9th of Av, which is historically has been tragic to the Jewish People. I realize that this is a video -- not posted in the video section -- however I believe this will be a topic discussed and I didn't have time to monitor and approve every comment, so I'm making an exception for myself. Hello, I need help. feel I'm under demonic attack. I have the most horrific nightmares, I read scripture daily, listen to Christian Radio, I attend Church regularly and evangelise when appropriate. I have led someone to Christ, I am a dedicated christian living an upstanding life in Christ. For a very long time I've had intermittent demonic attack and oppression. In 1989 (Before I was a Christian) I became involved with occult things after becoming friends with a woman that had interests in that area. She introduced me to paranormal things. she got me involved with spiritism, she claimed she could summon spirits and will people to do things, she even told me she had an intrinsic connection to me. I never had a physical relationship with her and the friendship we had was not that well formed, she was my hairdresser and not that much more. I eventually stopped being friends with her. I resumed a normal life although it was very difficult to get rid of this person as she said she had made a "soul tie" or something to me. I encountered many strange things after knowing this woman, she proved to me she could do things. Coming from a scientifically grounded upbringing this very difficult to believe and trying to rationalise the irrational was in itself an issue. I thought I was going insane until she told me it was her "pushing thoughts", she told me word for word what I had been "hearing or thinking" like songs and sentences, thoughts that felt forced and intrusive. I came to Christ twelve years ago. I have given my testimony to two Church congregations detailing my experiences with this woman and occult things and how Christ saved me. Every so often I have times when I suffer these intrusive thoughts, disturbing visions and sometimes voices which are always to do with this woman. I have horrific nightmarrs and feelings of dread and foreboding. My Church don't run or include any deliverance service, it's simply a case of ignore the demonic attacks and throw yourself in to the bible, this is the best thing to do but it doesn't always work. depressing feelings and horrific images which are very vivid are not easy to forget and I can't control my dreams like I can bring my thoughts to the obedience of Christ. I know what these attacks are and where they're from, I can't however stop it from happening. I have tried to get deliverance via Ellel Ministries, this had a temporary effect. I pray, I have had prayer from friends and I've even been on a healing retreat. I know this is a battle and I fight it every day, somedays however are much, much harder than others. I really need full deliverance with this, it's getting increasingly difficult to deal with.

It was only by the grace of God that I escaped from getting more heavily involved.” ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To others here at Worthy, I thought to post this, as it is a small part of my past. When I was 9 years old, I received a Ouija board “game” for Christmas. A few years later, I had asked the Ouija board “What works you, God?” ( I had no idea who God was at the time...) The planchette flew off of the board... I was determined to find out what “power” was behind this and placed the planchette back on the board, repeating the question: “What works you, God?” It quickly moved to the word “No.” Repeating the question yet one more time, it paused, and answered truthfully: “Live, now backwards.” (EVIL) It frightened me a bit, I knew it had answered truthfully, and I tossed it in the Parker Brothers “game” into the trash. I now refer to it for what it truly is, a “demonic witch board.” With this “Ouija movie” grossing 50 million in the US alone, it shows the interest in the occult continuing to grow here, and abroad. Christians, don't be fearful, reach out to those involved with the occult as we would with any other lost with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, calling on their repentance of these and other sins that all have committed before a righteous and holy God!
