  1. I guess that my first question is can you give up the holy spirit once you have been indwelt and my second question is if you do, but then later on realize that you made a mistake and you want to repent of committing apostasy and giving up the holy spirit and be back in relationship with Jesus, will he let you ?

  3. Repent/Repentance By way of explanation, when the original language words hyperlinked, it is to a site that is showing you all of the instances where each word is used in the Bible, as well as detailed explanations of the words. In the Old Testament we have the Hebrew word "nāḥam". It is a verb which can mean to console, or it can mean to change one's mind or be sorry about something. There is another verb, "ʻānâ", which is to be contrite and sometimes has an idea of affliction. It is associated with prayer and fasting. Finally in the Old Testament there is the verb "šûb", that is to turn around as in turning from sin to God. Turning to the New Testament We have a Greek noun, "metanoia" and the verb "metanoeō ", they both refer to a turn from sin to God. Whereas in the Old Testament, repentance often means a change mind, the new Testament more often mean to turn away from sin, to do the will of God. There is also a Greek verb "epistrephó" which emphasizes turning or returning. Some take away things of note: Sometimes, to repent is to to be sorry about something, other times it is more about a change of direction in behavior, a change of the heart, and a turning in direction, toward God and His will. Stopping is often not the focus as much as a new direction. I might be noted, that due to our nature, that is opposed to God, that there are at least times, where the source of repentance is not merely our will, but is by the grace of God that we can turn toward Him: 1 Tim 2:24 The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, 25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance (metanoia) leading to the knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. Some Key Verses - ESV Version Matt 3:2 - “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matt 4:17 - From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Mark 6:12- So they went out and proclaimed that people should repent. Acts 2:38 - And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 17:30 - he times of ignorance God overlooked, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent, Acts 26:20- but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance. Rev 2:5 - Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. Rev 2:16 - Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth. Rev 2:22 - Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works, Rev 3:3 - Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. Rev 3:19 - Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Jer 23:22 - But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people, and they would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their deeds. Jer 25:4-5 - 4 You have neither listened nor inclined your ears to hear, although the Lord persistently sent to you all his servants the prophets, saying, ‘Turn now, every one of you, from his evil way and evil deeds, and dwell upon the land that the Lord has given to you and your fathers from of old and forever. Zech 1:3-6 - 3 Therefore say to them, Thus declares the Lord of hosts: Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. 4 Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, Return from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But they did not hear or pay attention to me, declares the Lord. 5 Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? 6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? So they repented and said, ‘As the Lord of hosts purposed to deal with us for our ways and deeds, so has he dealt with us.’” Psa 51 - Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem; then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your altar. Luke 3:8- Bear fruits in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham. Acts 26:20 - but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.
  4. It is really, really sad when I see people going against fellow brothers and sisters who encourage us to do good things in Christ. It is really sad because it is not what the Lord Jesus called us for. It is unacceptable when people supposedly in the faith says that we are the devil for encouraging repentance, holiness, and sanctification. There is only one who is the enemy of all this: Satan, the devil, that serpent of old. "So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him." - Revelation 12:9 You hear of holiness, you hear of repentance, you hear of sanctification and have no peace. You have no peace because you have rejected Him, because whoever reject these things also reject Him. "For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness. Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given us His Holy Spirit." - 1 Thessalonians 4:4-8 All you have to do is to humble yourselves and repent indeed, and turn, and seek for His help. Only when you do that you will find peace, otherwise you will spend your whole life fighting against Him and at the end be told: "Depart from me, I never knew you!" Isn't it just? You have been saying that to Him until now: "Depart from me, Jesus! I do not want to know you!" "And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." - Matthew 23:12 And I, and many other brother and sisters are witnesses that the Lord Jesus indeed set people free of all sin. And He indeed gives you peace, life, and everything you want. And that He teaches, reveals, and guides in all truth. "But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God." - 1 Corinthians 2:10 "These things we also speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual." - 1 Corinthians 2:13 The Lord Jesus calls you today: "Repent, and humble yourself. I will forgive your sins and replace them with peace and joy!" The Lord Jesus does not lie, He cannot lie, He is the truth, the way, and the life! "Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me."" - John 14:6 Do you believe in Him?! That is what many cannot see. They say: "I believe". But their works show otherwise, the Lord call them and they say: "I believe but I will not go". "He answered and said, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he regretted it and went. Then he came to the second and said likewise. And he answered and said, ‘I go, sir,’ but he did not go. Which of the two did the will of his father?” They said to Him, “The first.”" - Matthew 21:29-31 It is sad that we cannot even preach truth inside the church anymore, and hardly in many Christian communities. Because people are pride and puffed up, they do not want to listen, they do not want to humble themselves. "For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: whose end is destruction, whose god is their belly, and whose glory is in their shame—who set their mind on earthly things." - Philippians 3:18-19 And I, and many others can confirm that you have no excuse to love your sins. Because the Lord paid The Price, and you can receive the Holy Spirit. And we can ask whatever we need from Him, and we will receive. Then start seeking and asking, because you will receive. "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 5:20 “Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.” - Revelation 16:15 "And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure." - 1 John 3:3 Whoever loves sin hates the Lord, and whoever hates the Lord does not have life. "Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him." - 1 John 3:15 "For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren." - Romans 8:29 And I tell you that you have no excuse because Christ died for it, He gave His life, His precious blood. And when I invite you to repent and seek help from the Lord so that you can receive the gift of the Holy Spirit you see me as an enemy. "Have I therefore become your enemy because I tell you the truth?" - Galatians 4:16 But I am sure that if you believe in Him and do what He said, you will find the truth and you will say: "Thanks!" (to Him). But while you refuse, you stay blind in your own understanding. "Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins." - John 8:24 Let us have a look what the apostles said to us and what we are facing today: "For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things: that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality. If you keep yourselves from these, you will do well." - Acts 15:28-29 The biggest problems we face today are sexual immorality and idolatry. Because unlike in the past, sexual immorality and idolatry is present in many more ways than it was back then. Sexual immorality and idolatry always come together, because it becomes an idol for the person, and it includes: masturbation, pornography, fornication, adultery, lustful thoughts, and the like. And idolatry is more present in: the love for money, covetousness, addictions, pride, etc. But the most common idolatry, that makes the person bound by iniquity is the love for sin. Do not be deceived, if you love sin the Holy Spirit is not in you. "Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him." - 1 John 2:15 What you should do then?! Repent, and surrender to the Lord Jesus Christ before it is too late. He is the only one who can set you free indeed and make you desire to repent and receive His Holy Spirit. "Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up." - James 4:9-10 And while you are offended by holiness, sanctification, and faith: It is clear that you have not received the gift of the Holy Spirit; we shall know them by their fruits. In the same way He gave His life for us, we should also give our lives for Him. But if you notice, we do not have life to give, because to live for ourselves is death. To follow the flesh is death, then there is no life in the evil desires of the flesh. "For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live." - Romans 8:13 Then to repent and to surrender to Jesus actually means to have life. And I, and many others can confirm that this is true. Because we have been set free by Him, and we can tell you: There is nothing, nothing better! "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life." - John 6:63 "He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water." - John 7:38 Glory to God! Amen.
  5. It is so sad when we see people lost, lost in their sins, lost in their flesh, lost in darkness, lost in deceit. Those people need to see the light, these people have to wake up, these people have to surrender to the only true Lord and Savior, the Son of God: Jesus Christ. Why is it so hard for some people to grasp something so simple as salvation? Satan works hard against repentance, against true repentance... He will do everything to hold you in your sins, in darkness. It is so hard, so hard to surrender to the Truth. Especially nowadays, when we have so many technology, so many things to fill our eyes, so much entertainment, so much deception, so many traps. The world is deceiving, it tries to elude us, it tries to say: "Hey, stay here... Love me, and stay here! Have fun in your evil pleasures. There is nothing better than this" Why is it so hard for people to stay walking with the Lord, and carry their cross to the end?! Satan works hard against repentance... He tries to tell us that we do not have to stay with the Lord. He tries to give us the impression that if we remain in Him, if we strive to please Him, if we strive to walk according to His Spirit and deny ourselves, deny our flesh... That we are falling from grace and working to be saved. Satan makes that seems that we are working to be saved... That we are not trusting in the Lord for our salvation. "So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do." - Luke 17:10 I repeat: Satan does not play. And he will carry many, many people to hell with him. Why?! Because people simply does not surrender to the Lord. People does not hear His words, they do not take Him seriously. Many people are deceived by Satan that they do not have to change their lives, that they should not do what the Lord taught us to. And I can say without any doubt: That is a deception. And it is leading many, many people to hell. People who do not surrender to the Lord, do not deny themselves and say: "Lord, Lord... I am yours, take my life in your hands. I want to please you and to follow you, I want to be your sheep, I want to have life". And how hard Satan works against repentance, against full, and I repeat full submission to the Lord and His words. Who would ever argue against Him? Who would fight against His words? Satan works very hard against Him... He does not want to see people denying themselves, their pleasures, their desires, their flesh, this evil world and its habits. He wants to take every of us to hell with him... He tries to deceive us by saying: "This is just your flesh... It is normal, the Lord understands" The truth is that, many will say to Him in that Day... Many will seek to enter and they will not be able. And many surely will not understand why because they were deceived, they did not hear the Lord nor obeyed His Gospel. It is because they did not hear the Lord, they did not obeyed Him, they preferred to listen to Satan and their flesh. "Therefore whoever humbles himself as this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven." - Matthew 18:4 In the name of the Lord Jesus, I tell you: "Surrender, surrender to Me before it is too late". Or do you think the Lord will punish anyone who lived as He desired and loved Him: To seek to depart from sin, deny their flesh, deny themselves, carry their cross, hate their lives to full obedience of Christ. I know Satan makes many people to think that... He tells you that: "It is by grace... No need to repent, no need to please Him... No need to surrender". Do not be deceived, no one can love the Lord Jesus Christ, no one can love God and do what is pleasant in His sight without His grace, His saving mercy and grace. It is by His grace alone, and through faith alone that we seek to please Him, and stay with Him... That we seek to deny ourselves daily, and say NO to all that is unholy, and to live according to His Spirit. We may fail sometimes, but when we fail we suffer, we cry, we repent and pray and seek to do what is right next time, because we love Him. Please, start loving Him today. "But if anyone loves God, this one is known by Him." - 1 Corinthians 8:3 "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." - Romans 8:1 I know where I was about 1 year ago, and from where the Lord took me from... I tell you my testimony here, because I have experienced the grace of God, the true grace of God... I have experienced His love. I can tell you: There is nothing better in this world than to walk in His light. Do not be deceived. I have faced many obstacles, many traps of Satan who tried to stop me and go back... Satan really tries very hard against true repentance. I had the same difficulties anyone find in the flesh: Vices, addictions, bad habits, evil desires, idolatry, the love for earthly things. And I can tell you that by the grace of God alone, through faith alone... By seeking, praying, and watching and applying His instructions I have been winning against all those things. Through faith in Him. To Him be the glory. "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!" - Luke 11:13 Satan always come with excuses: "It is all OK, by His grace you are OK... No need to repent, no need to flee from evil, it is just how you are" Satan is a liar, a big deceiver... And he is deceiving many... In the name of the Lord Jesus: "Do not play with your salvation. Deny yourselves and take your cross". "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it." - Matthew 16:25 Who is the only who would fight against a holy life? Who is the only who would fight against true repentance?! Only Satan would fight against those things... And I see there are many people who resist the Holy Spirit, who resist full submission of their lives to the Lord. And this will surely, lead many, many to destruction. Do not hear Satan... Hear the Lord, obey Him by faith, and have life. "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’" - Matthew 7:21-23 I do not know how many will believe in what I am writing... But I just hope you do not cry and suffer everlasting torment for not believing and receiving the truth. "There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the prophets in the kingdom of God, and yourselves thrust out." - Luke 13:28 In the name of the Lord Jesus: "Surrender, surrender to Me before it is too late". It is time to surrender, says the Lord. "for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit." - Romans 14:17 Glory to God! Amen.
  6. Hey everyone! I have a question. I have noticed a lot of street preachers in my hometown and also on social media. Does the bible tell us to preach the gospel on street corners or? Because, the only verse I'm aware of is preaching the gospel to all nations. I don't know if that is considered preaching, I've seen lots of crazy stuff happen to street preachers. So, I'm curious if we as Christians are suppose to do that or not, street preach, etc?
  7. We Are Fighting Demons More Than Democrats Hatred stirs up strife, But love covers all transgressions. Proverbs 10:12 (New American Standard Bible) ........ What I’m calling for is simple and clear. It is for followers of Jesus to seek God’s face in prayer with a deep sense of urgency, asking Him to have mercy on our nation. It is for us to humble ourselves before Him in deep repentance for our own sins and failings. It is for us to renew our commitment to the Great Commission and to focus once again on winning the lost and making disciples. It is for us to shine like lights in dark places, confronting evil and injustice, helping the poor and the hurting, making a tangible difference for good wherever God has placed us. It is for us to live in the light of eternity, recognizing that what we do (or don’t do) in our time on earth will have implications in both this world and the world to come. In short, it is for us to take the Bible seriously, and that means submitting to God, resisting the devil, and pushing back the forces of darkness by the power of the gospel. Not only can it be done, with God’s gracious help, it must be done. Are you with me? https://townhall.com/columnists/michaelbrown/2017/03/30/we-are-fighting-demons-more-than-democrats-n2306510
  8. I was struggling with my faith. I was caught in a wedge between choosing what I wanted to do instead of what God wanted for me. In the end I ended up leaving my residence and left on a bus on my own accord to go where I wanted. But halfway into the trip I felt nothing but pure spiritual agony. I had turned my back on God. I knew that what I was doing was gravely wrong. I was looking at verses such as Romans 1:28 where it talks about people being turned over to reprobate minds. How God gives them just what they want and turn them over to eternal damnation. The thought of all this almost made me puke. I felt sick to the point of faint at the though of being stamped unworthy and useless. I walked out on God.. This whole thing about being a reprobate terrified me. I'm turning back now and am on my way to make things right and totally surrender my life to Christ for good. I don't care what happens to me anymore or what others will think of me. I fear God more than man now. As long as I have Him, I don't ever want to turn back. Am I marked? Is it too late? Am I like Esau who gave up his inheritance for a plate of food, only to seek it back in tears and unable to receive it again? I read that a rebrobate mind is devoid of all sound judgment and left to do things that are unseemly. I don't feel I've quite reached this mindset yet.. not after this scare.. I greatly appreciate any input, many thanks and blessings
