  1. Many world governments are spending billions and are going into a frenzy over corona virus, their fear is that it could spread like the Spanish flu of the early 20th century, which killed many, even more than who died in world war one. Corona virus is making headlines in the news papers, world wide web, tv, radio stations, pubs, bars super markets and work places internationally. Yet there is something far more critical, and of the upmost importance. Sin and rejection of the gospel is more serious then the corona virus. Being in sin without a saviour put one in danger of being lost for all eternity. Rom1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Mat 10:28kjv And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. There you have it there is something far worse awaiting mankind then any pestilent The great tribulation which is yet to come, the lake of fire and a angry God will make corona virus look trivial and insignificant. God is angry with sinners every day but he is long suffering to us wards not willing that any should perish but that all would come to repentance. Lets receive his free gift and way of escape from wrath. Repentance and faith in Christ the Lamb of God is the right way to go folks. 1Tim1:15 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; what from you might ask? eternal separation from God! Wrath John3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him Men are more concerned with the spread of corona virus, but there is a God who is calling men to repentance through the preaching of the gospel, yet many ignored this message every day. The effects of rejecting the gospel will be far more severe then corona virus, Spanish flu, bubonic plague or Ebola. These pestilence though horrid can only destroy the body but Jesus takes it further. Below statement shows there is no hope for any of as unless we REPENT. Repentance and faith towards Christ is the key to access God the Father LOVE and divine FAVOUR Luke 13:1-5 (KJV)CHRIST WARNING TO REPENT! 13 There were present at that season some that told him(Jesus) of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. 2 And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? 3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. 4 Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? 5 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish Repentance, faith and humility before God through the cross of Christ, will cause God grace and favour to be released to the repentant sinner or nation.(see book of Jonah) The book of judges is a good example of this. When the nation of Israel sinned, and turned away from obeying the law and prophets of God. He God would allow their enemies' to defeat them in battle, invade Israel, steal their live stock etc when Israel's enemies oppressed them, they cried out to God because their affliction. God then would have compassion on them and raise up judges to deliver them. The scriptures teaches a humble and a contrite heart God would not despise. This same humility and turning from sin is what God is still looking for today. 1 Timothy 1:15KJV) 15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief John 3:17(KJV) 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Rom5:8nkjv But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (WARNING FOR SINNERS ) Isaiah 48:22NKJV)“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.” Luke 16:19-31jv 19 There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21 And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22 And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23 And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 28 For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead (Encouragement for the Christian) Philippians 4:69kjv 6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. 9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Christians should learn from David at times like these! psa 27 kjv 1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? 2When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. 3Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident. 4One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple. 5For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock. 6And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD. 7Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me. 8When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek. 9Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation. 10When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up. 11Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies. 12Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. 13I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. 14Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
  2. Repent/Repentance By way of explanation, when the original language words hyperlinked, it is to a site that is showing you all of the instances where each word is used in the Bible, as well as detailed explanations of the words. In the Old Testament we have the Hebrew word "nāḥam". It is a verb which can mean to console, or it can mean to change one's mind or be sorry about something. There is another verb, "ʻānâ", which is to be contrite and sometimes has an idea of affliction. It is associated with prayer and fasting. Finally in the Old Testament there is the verb "šûb", that is to turn around as in turning from sin to God. Turning to the New Testament We have a Greek noun, "metanoia" and the verb "metanoeō ", they both refer to a turn from sin to God. Whereas in the Old Testament, repentance often means a change mind, the new Testament more often mean to turn away from sin, to do the will of God. There is also a Greek verb "epistrephó" which emphasizes turning or returning. Some take away things of note: Sometimes, to repent is to to be sorry about something, other times it is more about a change of direction in behavior, a change of the heart, and a turning in direction, toward God and His will. Stopping is often not the focus as much as a new direction. I might be noted, that due to our nature, that is opposed to God, that there are at least times, where the source of repentance is not merely our will, but is by the grace of God that we can turn toward Him: 1 Tim 2:24 The Lord’s bond-servant must not be quarrelsome, but be kind to all, able to teach, patient when wronged, 25 with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them repentance (metanoia) leading to the knowledge of the truth, 26 and they may come to their senses and escape from the snare of the devil, having been held captive by him to do his will. Some Key Verses - ESV Version Matt 3:2 - “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matt 4:17 - From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Mark 6:12- So they went out and proclaimed that people should repent. Acts 2:38 - And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 17:30 - he times of ignorance God overlooked, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent, Acts 26:20- but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance. Rev 2:5 - Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. Rev 2:16 - Therefore repent. If not, I will come to you soon and war against them with the sword of my mouth. Rev 2:22 - Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works, Rev 3:3 - Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. Rev 3:19 - Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent. Jer 23:22 - But if they had stood in my council, then they would have proclaimed my words to my people, and they would have turned them from their evil way, and from the evil of their deeds. Jer 25:4-5 - 4 You have neither listened nor inclined your ears to hear, although the Lord persistently sent to you all his servants the prophets, saying, ‘Turn now, every one of you, from his evil way and evil deeds, and dwell upon the land that the Lord has given to you and your fathers from of old and forever. Zech 1:3-6 - 3 Therefore say to them, Thus declares the Lord of hosts: Return to me, says the Lord of hosts, and I will return to you, says the Lord of hosts. 4 Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets cried out, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, Return from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.’ But they did not hear or pay attention to me, declares the Lord. 5 Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever? 6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not overtake your fathers? So they repented and said, ‘As the Lord of hosts purposed to deal with us for our ways and deeds, so has he dealt with us.’” Psa 51 - Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness. O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem; then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your altar. Luke 3:8- Bear fruits in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you, God is able from these stones to raise up children for Abraham. Acts 26:20 - but declared first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all the region of Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with their repentance.
  3. Hi. I've been seeking the Lord for my Salvation and I come across the responsibility of man as mentioned in the Bible. So, I wanted to ask about the Responsibility of man and the Grace of God, Sovereignty of God. The Bible in different places commands us to do something, or rather, to change. For example, In 1 Peter 5:6, "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time." James 4:10 "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up" Matthew 23:12 "And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted." Ezekiel 18:31 "Cast away from you all the transgressions that you have committed, and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! Why will you die, O house of Israel?" 2 Chronicles 7:14 "if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land." And GOD, throughout the old testament, keeps telling Israel and even other nations also at times like- Nineveh (Jonah), through Prophets, etc to Repent and turn to HIM. And in the New Testament, we are told to Repent and Believe. These verses seem to put it up, like humbling oneself or having a new heart and a new spirit, to Repent, as human responsibility to do what's been asked of us to do. And so it implies also that we naturally have the ability to do what's been asked of us to do and that it's possible for us to do it without God's help, just by our will? Because if we can't', then why would He ask that of us? But the Bible also puts things the other way, which seems opposite, that we can do these things only by God's Intervention/ Grace, power: Acts 16:14 ".....The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul" Luke 24:45 "Then He[Jesus] opened their minds to understand the Scriptures" Acts 18:26-40, The case of the Ethiopian Eunuch Ezekiel 11:19 (cf. Ezekiel 36:26, Hebrews 8:10, Jeremiah 32:33) "And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh" In Daniel 4, God humbles Nebuchadnezzar, after which he praises God, for doing so and humbling him. So, what should we do when we come across such commands in the Bible? Should we wait for God to do something that we can't or we don't have the ability (will) to unless God intervenes in some way, or, should we do what we are commanded to (to Repent, be Humble, change our hearts and minds) assuming that have the ability(the will)? It is said that we have the ability and faculties for dong what we are commanded to do, that if we 'will', we can do it, but that the problem is that we can't Truly 'will' without the work, influence of God in our heart. Spurgeon says about this : "The question is, are men ever found naturally willing to submit to the humbling terms of the gospel of Christ? We declare, upon Scriptural authority, that the human will is so desperately set on mischief, so depraved, and so inclined to everything that is evil, and so disinclined to everything that is good, that without the powerful. supernatural, irresistible influence of the Holy Spirit, no human will ever be constrained towards Christ". If this is True, then, How should we then carry out our Responsibility ?
  4. What could be the reasons why a seeking sinner may not be saved? What does it mean to come to the Lord? I am currently seeking the Lord, and even though God has shown me much of my depravity and sins, I struggle very much to "truly" Repent and "truly" believe. Pls. Pray to GOD for my Salvation and that I may truly be born again in CHRIST.
  5. Hey friends, What are the ways you describe repentance. I made this video because I am eager to explain repentance to the youth at my church in a way that is engaging and clear to them. I used an awesome passage from Matthew 11:21-30 as I've been posting on different threads here, I've really enjoyed reading what others have said So I'd love to hear your thoughts on this video, and your own thoughts about how you'd describe repentance? God Bless you...I love hearing peoples voices in this community
  6. Matt. 3:2, "...Repent ye: for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand."Matt. 4:17, "From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say,'Repent: for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.'" The Greek word for repentance, metanoeo, means to change one's mind. Many seek miracles for what they could have by simply repenting. There are things that are outside our reach as mere mortal men. Those are the areas God moves in when it comes to the miraculous. Yet there are areas that are completely within our reach -- grasped and conquered by repentance, by changing the way we think so we can conquer ourselves. From this place we conquer our world, as has been given to us by divine destiny. When a believer reaches this achievement, they are ready for some of the greatest miracles man has seen. He has overcome this world just as Christ overcame. Matthew 25:30 - "And cast the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." Affirmation: THE HOLY SPIRIT IS GIVING ME WISDOM AND COURAGE TO STEP OUT AND BEGIN TO FULFILL THE DREAM HE AS BIRTHED SO DEEPLY INSIDE ME. Nehemiah 4:2 - "Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of rubbish, seeing they are burned?" We continue to cry out for revival and we continue to devise ways to bring people into God's kingdom. We may feel like the fishermen in Luke Chapter 5 who were tired after fishing all night and catching nothing. Jesus called out and told them to go into the deep water and let down their nets once again. Only this time, to their surprise, they caught more fish than they could handle. Similarly, God is calling us to plunge into deep water if we want to catch fish. God is indeed pouring out His Spirit on all people. As Christians, we need only ask Him to point out those He is drawing to Himself. If we ask God to open our eyes to "see" and our ears to "hear" His voice, we can get ready for a number of supernatural and divine encounters specifically designed by God to draw millions to Jesus Christ. God calls us to partner with Him in what will be one of the largest revivals in Church history. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  7. Having experienced the torments of Hell, I can verify the legitimacy of this testimony, but more importantly, discernment tells me it's real and genuine. I encourage those who watch this not to go down a rabbit hole of Hell testimonies all at once, it can be overwhelming and very depressing, please be led by the Spirit by discerning the voice of God on all pursuits, but Jesus has taken people to experience these experiences for a reason. May you learn from these testimonies and be convicted (if necessary) and not condemned by responding to that conviction accordingly, (remember God chastises those He loves!) and may the Lord bless you mightily in Jesus' mighty name! Revelation 20:15: And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Luke 12:5: But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him! Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Revelation 21:8: But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.”
  8. Matthew 4:17 - "From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, 'Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.'" RENEWING THE MIND BEGINS WITH REPENTANCE. THAT IS THE GATEWAY TO RETURN TO OUR ORIGINAL ASSIGNMENT ON EARTH. "RE" MEANS TO GO BACK - IE. GO BACK TO GOD'S PERSPECTIVE ON REALITY. AND IN THAT PERSPECTIVE THERE IS A RENEWAL, A REFORMATION THAT AFFECTS OUR INTELLECT, OUR EMOTIONS, AND EVERY PART OF OUR LIVES. WHEN THE BIBLE SPEAKS OF CARNALITY, IT DOESN'T NECESSARILY MEAN OBVIOUS, DISGUSTING SIN. BECAUSE THEY LIVE WITHOUT THE DEMONSTRATED POWER OF THE GOSPEL, MANY CHRISTIANS HAVE LOST THEIR SENSE OF PURPOSE AND GONE BACK TO SIN. HAVING A RENEWED MIND IS OFTEN NOT AN ISSUE OF WHETHER OR NOT SOMEONE IS GOING TO HEAVEN, BUT OF HOW MUCH OF HEAVEN HE OR SHE WANTS IN HIS OR HER LIFE RIGHT NOW. Hosea 4:6 - "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge." What you do not know can destroy you. You cannot take hold of the grace and blessings of God unless you have knowledge of what He has provided for you -- ie. that you have to know what belongs to you. Many people have accepted disease and sickness as teachers. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit will lead you into all truth. Not, "Yea, I will send disease and it will teach you and lead you into all truth." AFFIRMATIONS: God wants me knowledgeable. I am a child of the most high God, and heir of God, a joint-heir with Jesus and have the right to enter the holy of holies. I embrace the Word and stand upon it. Hebrews 11:6 - "But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him. " Psalm 5:3 -- 'In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation.' Hearing from God is living with expectation toward Him because expectation places a demand on the Holy Spirit. We should live with expectation toward God twenty-four hours a day, for He abides within us at all times. God does talk. He is speaking continually. Christians need to develop their receivers (their human spirits) which will enable them to tune-in to the voice of the Holy Spirit. Ultimately, the Lord desires that we LIVE A LIFE OF LISTENING. If we insist on God speaking audibly to us, it basically breaks one of His fundamental laws -- It is impossible to please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). It takes no faith to hear or obey an audible voice. But it does take faith to pay attention to the still small inner voice and witness of the Holy Spirit. It takes discipline to command all manner of distractions to be still while we wait before God. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. IN 4 months i went from being a complete christian to a terrified man desperate for peace. My mind, my body, my well being and i'm even afraid to say soul and spirit because i'm afraid to even admit that has even been touched out of being ashamed that it has been put into jeopardy by my own sinful behavior that i need help. The devil has been trying to take credit for all of God's good work that he has ever done in me and repeat it so he can receive credit for it and i need help. I'm trying to God and be with Him and the more i struggle the more pain I feel. I know GOD, I know JESUS, I know the LORD, and We have had an amazing relationship not more or less than anyone else. But i need help. I've been convinced that i was going to be used by the devil or God and that at this moment no matter what i do the devil is using me. I confess in my ignorance and selfishness i have struggled with forgiveness and blaspheming to thee point where it has destroyed my life physically and mentally. Yet i try to be free of it and it get's worse and worse. So i ask is it too late for me. I just admitted to my sins last night and tried to beg for forgiveness but all i saw was a black figure over me blocking my prayer. I even tried to reach past it but feeling like it wouldn't work. I feel everything I've been doing from church service to prayer has been rerouted to the devil in my mind and i want it to stop. I need Jesus and i want release from this but i don't even know how to start. I have therapy and a loving family and supportive church but i feel like I've been corrupting or bringing down those people because every time i feel a breakthrough i get skeptical and doubtful all the way to the point where i even make a big deal out of emotions. I feel like i'm being convinced to be satanic. I try to turn away from it but i seem to get the most resistance there. I want to turn to God but i feel like His Word is saying it's too late. I don't want it to be true. Is it too late for me to turn back. So far only fear anger and stress and anxiety have been what get's me to move. And my delay seems to be my down fall even trying to post this i had like 5 interruptions and my thoughts fear 6's and upside down crosses and every time i release my pain i have doubts about where my pain is going and who is using me. Something good will happen, i'll feel relief and then i'll get bombarded all over again. PRAYER ADVICE FREEDOM PUT YOUR ARMOR ON PLEASE. HELP ME.
  10. Wow! The Holy Spirit is to be acknowledged as a person at all times. Why? Because He is. I didn't understand what it meant for the the Holy Spirit to be the access point to Jesus until the closer I think I am to Jesus, the more the Holy Spirit shows me that there is a process to get to the King. Firstly, it is important that we get to know who the person of the Holy Spirit is. In my experience, He is the 'information center' who is willing to reveal all that one needs to know 'if' we are obedient to His instructions. I say this because the Holy Spirit speaks to us everyday; He answers questions, comforts us and guides us in all things but our obedience to His voice is what really determines whether He can trust us to share even more truths with us. He speaks to us in our dreams While I understood that the Holy Spirit will teach us everything and remind us of all that Jesus has spoken John 14:26, it was only two months ago that I learn that He is the One who has given all of us our dreams. There are different kinds of dreams; some are for warning, some are prophetic and some are for making intercessions etc. But for us to identify the kind of dreams we have it will take more than our physical understanding to interpret such. I wasn't able to distinguish my dreams until after a few months of spending time with the Holy Spirit. He knows every person from our past and those who are in our lives presently The Holy Spirit uses people who we are familiar with to bring across His message in our dreams. Though I always understood that He does that, I never appreciated its importance until the Lord showed me in my dream someone I knew from High School but only keep in touch through social media. But as there is no partiality with God Romans 2:11, He revealed that this person was very troubled and in that case I was to make an intercession. Not surprisingly, when I reached out to the young lady on Facebook, she confessed the exact, and I repeat THE EXACT issue that the Holy Spirit had shown me in my dream. Isn't our God amazing!? It was in that moment of confession that I recognized that our dreams are probably the most common medium through which the Holy Spirit speaks. Continual Fellowship strengthens the Holy Spirit's trust in us We will rarely find ourselves sharing very sensitive information with strangers. It is the same with the Holy Spirit. He will put us through all kinds of tests to see how trustworthy we are and two ways to show our trustworthiness is by being obedient and engaging in prayer and worship. I cannot help but emphasize the word obedience, after-all the bible states that Obedience is better than sacrifice, a listening ear than the fat of rams, 1 Samuel 15:22. So I found that the more I worship, the further the Holy Spirit takes me into the spiritual realm. I am truly humbled to know this much more to experience it. All honor and praise to the Holy Spirit. Continual Repentance It is so important that we repent of our sins daily as we serve a holy God. As for me I sin everyday - not only by my deeds but by my very thoughts. Getting to know the Holy Spirit speaks to understanding His standards and meeting His expectations according to the Word of God. I struggle at times to be consistent in worship and reading the word but thanks be to God He understands that the spirit indeed is willing but the flesh is weak Matthew 26:41. Therefore the Holy Spirit being fully aware of our weaknesses just wants us to seek cleansing so He may continue to work through us as He so desires. I can do nothing without the Holy Spirit. I literally ache in the spirit if I ever feel like I've disappointed Him. How can you tell that you have disappointed the Holy Spirit? Let me hear from you...
  11. Song of Solomon 2:9 - "Behold, He is standing behind our wall, He is looking through the windows, He is peering through the lattice." Yes, Christ dwells within us, but He is standing behind our "walls." The walls between us and the Savior are primarily the work of : 1. Unrenewed Minds 2. Hardened Hearts 3. We have barracaded ourselves behind fears and, 4. Carnal Attitudes The good news is that these barriers can be elimanated. To the degree they are removed, we possess oneness with Christ and experience true spiritual advancement. Let us pursue the removal of these barriers through the use of our: SANCTIFIED IMAGINATION Imagine that even as you are reading, the Lord Himself has quietly entered a nearby room. You look, and suddenly the room is: l. Vibrant and alive, shimmering with waves of light. 2. Instantly, your senses are flooded with His holy presence as the living, probing light enters you and descends into your heart. 3. The darkness that shrouded your inner sin nature is gone and your heart is exposed. Question: Knowing that Jesus Christ is in the room, would you enter? If you could not bring yourself to move toward the room, what would be your reason? 1. Is it because you feel you have failed the Lord too many times, then SHAME has become a "wall" between you and Christ; 2. If FEAR keeps you distant, then fear is the barirer between God and you; 3. If an UNREPENTANT HEART is keeping you from intimacy with Christ, then heart hardness is your cause of isolation. Remember, the pure in heart see God (Matthew 5:8). If we repent of our wrong attitudes and sins; if, instead of shame and fear, we clothe ourselves with the garments of praise and salvation, the barriers between ourselves and the Lord shall be removed. In trembling obedience, let us enter the fire of His presence for, in truth, He is closer than the room next door. He is, even now, standing behind our wall. Questions to Ask Myself: WHAT AM I NOT REPENTING OF? WHAT AM I AFFRAID OF? HOW BAD DO I WANT TO MOVE HIGHER IN CHRIST? Prayer: LORD JESUS, I REMOVE THE WALL CREATED BY MY FEARS, SIN, AND SHAME. MASTER, WITH ALL MY HEART I DESIRE TO ENTER YOUR GLORY, TO STAND IN YOUR PRESENCE AND LOVE. RECEIVE ME NOW AS I BOW BEFORE YOUR GLORY. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
