  1. 2018 Scriptures for Battling the devil, Spiritual Warfare. The enemy hates to hear about the Blood of Christ, Praise, and that hell is "prepared for the devil and his angels." Ephesians 6:11-17 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD. Deuteronomy 28:7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways. Joshua 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. Joshua 23:10 One man of you shall chase a thousand: for the LORD your God, he it is that fighteth for you, as he hath promised you. Deuteronomy 3:22 Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God he shall fight for you. Romans 8:35-39 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. The depiction of the enemy of our souls: Isaiah 14:12-19 12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit. 16 They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms; 17 That made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners? 18 All the kings of the nations, even all of them, lie in glory, every one in his own house. 19 But thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that go down to the stones of the pit; as a carcase trodden under feet. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. 1 John 5:4-5 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, [even] our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? I John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil. Matthew 16:18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 18:18-19 18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. 19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. Psalms 84:11 For the LORD God [is] a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good [thing] will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. II Thess 3:3 3 But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. Zech 4:6 6b Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. Isa 40:28-31 28 Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Psalm 18:39 For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me. Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. Matthew 25:41 Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels
  2. There's a lot of fellowship going on around the world, people corresponding, engaging in banter, immersed in discussion, ... or often in dispute, but I have been asking myself how nourishing some of this is. The Hebrews, and particularly those still in bondage to Judaism, were being required to understand about Jesus being our High Priest after the order of Melchisedec, but in the time the epistle to the Hebrews was written, this truth was proving difficult for them to digest. It is apparent they were complaining about the preaching of things they were unfamiliar with, preferring just the rudiments or first principles, and all this talk of priests and their function past, present, and future in relation to this mysterious Jesus Christ was too demanding on them. Heb 5:5-14 (5) So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest; but he that said unto him, You are my Son, to day have I begotten you. (6) As he said also in another place, You are a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. (7) Who in the days of his flesh, when he had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death, and was heard in that he feared; (8) Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; (9) And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him; (10) Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. (11) Of whom we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing you are dull of hearing. (12) For when for the time you ought to be teachers, you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. (13) For every one that uses milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. (14) But strong meat belongs to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. Even today, the grip of Judaism causes its adherents to be dull of hearing when the gospel is preached. I find it interesting that in the Bible the Greek words "stereos" and "stereoo" are translated "strong", "strength", and "established" (in the faith), hence the reference to steroids in the title of this thread. Strongs G4731 στερεός stereos ster-eh-os' From G2476; stiff, that is, solid, stable (literally or figuratively): - stedfast, strong, sure. Total KJV occurrences: 4 Strongs G4732 στερεόω stereoō ster-eh-o'-o From G4731; to solidify, that is, confirm (literally or figuratively): - establish, receive strength, make strong. Total KJV occurrences: 3 Personally, I need to be strengthened daily by the Word of God, and thoroughly enjoy the strong meat of the Word. (I hope to get some feedback on this... ? ? ?)
  3. The past couple of weeks since my car engine died I have been struggling with finding a replacement vehicle which I need for work because I'm always driving to a new location. A friend of mine was supposed to have a car ready for me at his shop but it needs more repairs and won't be ready anytime soon then on top of that I purchased a van from a private owner using all the money that I had left and found out afterwards that the transmission is dying. After the bad news me and my wife reached out to a family friend who was willing to take the van and a payment in exchange for a car that he has been trying to sell but getting a hold of him has been near impossible so it seems to me like he is no longer interested in selling us the cars that he has. I know that God is allowing us to go through this for a reason it's just really hard because my wife has been battling depression lately and this has been putting her over the edge I am trying my hardest to stay strong for her and trust in God that he will provide for us at the time that we need, it's just been very difficult with each day passing by and one attempt after the other fails in regards to getting a new vehicle. Should I stop trying to find a car and wait it out or should I continue? I know God wants me to rely on Him, I just don't know if me trying to find a car is relying on myself instead of Him.
  4. Now is the time to realize that the Lord desires to empower us to move from our current ability to a new level of power strength, or a greater ability of potential in the Lord. This increase is not a one-time touch but a constant and ever-increasing flow of the spirit of might. It will empower us to press through any and all obstacles, limitations, and fears to advance with a perseverance of progressive breakthrough in order to take new levels in God'sPURPOSE for our life. When we stay fresh in the strength of the Lord, we will increase in strength in the Spirit. In the Amplified Bible, Philippians 4:13 says, "I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ sufficiency]." WE CONFESS THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN US We can draw on and see increase in His might in our lives on a daily basis. In this flow, we will be empowered by the Holy Spirit and live in fresh strength, inspiration, joy, and confidence in the Lord. " that He may give to you, according to the riches of His glory, with might to be strengthened through His Spirit, in regard to the inner man," - Ephesians 3:16 We will be empowered by the Lord in supernatural strength in the inner person in order to believe the impossible is possible and to press through all obstacles. As we advance in this New Season we are blazing new trails in His divine CALLING in Christ for our lives that will impact us, our families, and people around us. BELIEVING FOR BREAKTHROUGH AND THE POTENTIAL IT BRINGS We must stay fresh in His strength and not become weary, giving into discouragement and disappointment. We must stay fresh in Him and sensitive to the Spirit of the Lord as He leads us into a new era of breakthrough that has the potential of touching thousands in the coming years. This expectation is so important in the coming days. We need to live in a fresh increase flow of the strength of the Lord on a daily basis. As we advance forward in the glory in this season, we stay fresh in His strength through our belief in Christ living through us. In His provision of the constant and ever-increasing flow of might, we can live in supernatural strength that will cause us to move forward in our vision and DESTINY and to go into new spheres and territories that He has made available to us. 5. Stand firm and do not be moved! As believers, we are rooted and grounded in His magnificent love. Because we are established in His love, we can have a peace that passes all natural understanding. And we have COURAGE, the depth of which is confidence in the Lord. "And that Christ will make His home in your hearts, through faith. I pray that you will have your roots and foundations in love so that.....you will have the power to understand how broad and long and deep is Christ's love. " - Ephesians 3:17 This place of trust is beyond the natural ability of a person. It comes only through a relationship with the Lord, who will lead us and bring to pass all He has purposed for us (ourCALLING in Christ). As we are directed by Him, we can also be assured that He is making every path straight. As believers, we declare that we, "Trust in the LORD with all [our] heart, and lean not on [our] own understanding; in all [our] ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct [our] paths." - Proverbs 3:56 GOD-EMPOWERED BOLDNESS This creates in us PERSEVERANCE THROUGH OUR FAITH as we hear and are led by Him. Holy perseverance is God-empowered boldness or courage that enables us deep within to persevere. One way we can define perseverance is simply to stay the course. This is a powerful blessing from the Lord that enables us to believe the impossible is possible. It is a work of the Holy Spirit within that enables us to have strength to stay the course, regardless of present circumstances or situations. This is what the prophet Isaiah wrote about: "Fear not [there is nothing to fear], for I am with you; do not look around you in terror and be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen and harden you to difficulties, yes, I will help you; yes, I will hold you up and retain you with My [victorious] right hand of rightness and justice." - Isaiah 41:10 AMP HERE IS THE INCREDIBLE PROMISE: You can stay the course because of the enabling of the strength of the Lord for you and in you! Believe that the Holy Spirit will release an even greater strengthening deep within so that you will stand firm for the promises of the Lord for your life and your family. As you lean into the Lord, you will go from strength to strength with deep courage to believe for the impossible to be possible. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  6. Our minds and mindsets need to be renewed by the Spirit. The culture of the day has begun to influence the way many see, think and feel, and the Lord is recalibrating us to see, think and feel as He does, and to bring us back to our first love. He wants to remind us of who we are, who He is, and the mission of seeing the earth filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord and being completely reconciled to His heart. Be strong and courageous! Renounce any agreement with fear, unbelief or a critical spirit. It's time to step out of the crowd and cross the threshold into this new place with the Father. The land on the other side of the threshold is rich and bountiful, and it is yours to live in. You are invited to live in the realm of, "With God ALL THINGS are possible," and you are invited to walk in complete surrender to the Father just as Jesus did. John 14:12 - "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father." Romans 14:17 - "For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit." AFFIRMATION: Christianity is not about what I put into my life. But what God has already put in my life. The new covenant is:1. I am cleansed by the blood of Jesus. 2. I am filled with the love and Spirit of God. 3. And All God has for me is already inside of me the moment I was born again. Ephesians, 3:16 - "May He grant you out of the rich treasury of His Glory to be strengthened and reinforced with mighty power in the inner man by the Holy Spirit {Himself indwelling your innermost being and personality]" AMP Your future comes from God’s possibilities and from His potential - Not the world’s, not your own. His potential and every promise of every possibility flow through the Holy Spirit, into you, and He will strengthen you with His might to accomplish those things so that you can be who you are called to be, to do what you are called to do and to receive what you are promised to be given. The Power and Strength of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life releases Victorious living in Everyday life! This is a key necessity for today as the Lord reveals His Kingdom and CALLING on our lives and its impact through us on others in the world! By faith in His Word and empowerment within the inner man, we live in a place of Power and Strength. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  7. Hi, I'm Romy and 14yrs old. I just wish to know how to grow in faith because God has so much install for me, and I feel I'm not ready but I am. Help me to understand my faith and grow it, so that I may branch out to others in faith.
  8. "Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." - Hebrews 12:1-2 We are all running the race of faith in our Christian life. The Lord wants you to know He is running this race with you. He is cheering you on and interceding for you every step of the way. This race is about faithfulness and perseverance. There will be times along our course of the race where we are tempted to focus on distractions and we stumble. Jesus is reminding us to focus on Him and the path set before us because He has gone before us and knows the path ahead. God has a race path or a DESTINY for each of us and our role is to be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit and follow the path the Lord has planned for us. "May He equip you with all you need for doing His will. May He produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to Him. All glory to Him forever and ever! Amen," - Hebrews 13:21. "Faithful is He who calls you, and He will bring it to pass," - 1 Thessalonians 5:24 CAST OFF THE WEIGHTS THAT HINDER RUNNING YOUR RACE It is important for us to cast off everything that hinders us, anything that slows us down or trips us in our race. We are to lay aside any unbelief and doubt but instead trust in God and His promises as He is faithful to bring to pass everything He has promised. We are to set our mind on things above and use our spiritual sight as we run our race because as we do this we will see the road ahead very differently. Our role is to be obedient to the leading of the Holy Spirit and to walk by faith and not by sight. LEAPING OVER YOUR OBSTACLES We are called to persevere even when there are obstacles in our race. In 1 Timothy 6:12 we read we are to, "Fight the good fight of the faith." We can rise above our struggles and know we are overcomers in Christ as He has already won the victory for us. The Lord is reminding us to praise and trust Him in all parts of our race. This will cause us to leap over obstacles that may come our way in our race. The steadfastness of the Old Testament "witnesses" in Hebrews chapter 11 speaks to us of the rewards of never giving up. Their unyielding faith points to Jesus and urges us to follow their example and run with perseverance the race marked out for us. "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus," - Philippians 3:14 Jesus is our example of how to run the race and we are to walk as He walked. "The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked" - 1 John 2:6 The Lord is highlighting the need to lean on Him as our source of strength when we are weary in our race. "Yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary," - Isaiah 40:31 Be encouraged as you run your race of faith – the Lord is running with you and He knows the race course He has planned for you. Cast off anything that is hindering your race and run with joy, hope, and freedom. Praise Him and trust in Him as He is faithful to equip you with all you need for every part of the course. Draw close to the Lord and allow Him to renew you and give you strength in the hard times of the race. Run the race appointed to you (God's CALLING on your life) and keep your eyes fixed on Jesus. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. Please read Nehemiah 8:10 There is so much evil in the world and when we love the Lord, we hate evil. Being exposed to evil things, can make a person negative. Joy can give us strength. God is so pure and Holy so it is great escapism to think of Him and how much He loves us. Delight yourself in the Lord to gain strength.
  10. Matthew 5:3 - "Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven." We empty our souls, and seek to be filled with the attitude of Christ, which is a sure wellspring -- unending, and brimming with life eternal. We count all that the proud flesh desires as worth less than nothing. There is a present urgency and need to present ourselves as being available to become a "place of habitation" for the presence and glory of the Lord, beyond anything that has previously been experienced or seen. According to Paul, God bestows to us strength and power according to the riches of His glory. His glory is abundant, it's bountiful and it's endless. We cannot walk in the fullness of our destiny or calling until we KNOW the strength of God and live daily by the strength of who He is in our inner man (Ephesians 3:16). Philippians 3:8,9 - "I reckon everything as complete loss for the sake of what is so much more valuable, the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord. For His sake I have thrown everything away; I consider it all as mere rubbish, so that I might gain Christ and be completely united with Him." Genesis 15:5,6 - "And God brought Abram forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and He said unto him, So shall thy seed be. And he believed in the Lord; and He counted it to him for righteousness." Observation: I think about and reflect on the word of God -- pondering a particular scripture and mentally applying it to my own circumstances again and again until that scripture permanently marks my consciousness. As God put vision in Abram through His word, He will also bring up into my consciousness His vision for me. AFFIRMATIONS: I see God in a new way as HE comes to lead me forward -- I feel a stirring in my emotions -- God is knocking on my door -- God is calling me to a new place. The Spirit of God is creating a desire for the NEW - I thank the Holy Spirit for helping me to press through into this new place. My provision is waiting at the next level. I refuse to sit any long in a low place. Mark 16:15 - And He said unto them, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." OBSERVATION: Jesus expects me to invade every sphere where I have influence and to use that influence to share the gospel with the people who live, work and function in those places. I choose this day to invest my time and energy into fulfilling that divine assignment. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  11. The sixth place Jesus shed His blood was where a soldier shoved a spear into His side and blood and water poured out. Jesus died from a broken heart -- from the weight of our sin. It is a physical phenomenon that when a person's heart bursts, the water and blood of his body flow together. When Jesus announced His ministry in the synagogue, He read from the scroll: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed." (Luke 4:18) Jesus was anointed with the power to heal the brokenhearted because God desires for His people to live in joy. When we are filled with joy, we have the strength to fight the good fight of faith. Nehemiah 8:10 - "The joy of the Lord is your strength." His heart was broken so our hearts could be made whole. We overcome the wounds of broken hearts by the blood of the Lamb. Jesus became our sin so we wouldn't have to sin. He became our sickness so we wouldn't have to be sick. He became our broken heart so we wouldn't have to have a broken heart. Jesus came to restore our joy Psalm 138:8; 147:3 - "The Lord will accomplish what concerens me; Your lovingkindness, O Lord, is everlasting; Do not forsake the works of Your hands. He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Affirmation: TODAY I ALLOW THE HEALING POWER OF THE BLOOD OF JESUS TO DELIVER ME FROM ALL PAIN, SORROW, AND GRIEF. I LET HIM FILL ME WITH THE JOY OF THE LORD AND LET THAT JOY BECOME MY STRENGTH, NOT JUST FOR TODAY, BUT FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
