Last night I was feeling a bit down because of facing my first ever Mother's Day without my mom. She died 2 months ago. I was thinking about this when the Lord gently nudged my heart. He brought the following scriptures and song to mind. Then He prompted me to share this with my Worthy family. Apparently, there is someone out there who is meant to hear it. So I hope it will minister to any in need of this message. God says, "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze." (Isaiah 43:2) Through It All (lyrics by Andrae Crouch) I've had many tears and sorrows, I've had questions for tomorrow, there's been times I didn't know right from wrong. But in every situation, God gave me blessed consolation, that my trials come to only make me strong. Chorus: Through it all, through it all, I've learned to trust in Jesus, I've learned to trust in God Through it all, through it all, I've learned to depend upon His Word. Verse 2: I've been to lots of places, I've seen a lot of faces, there's been times I felt so all alone. But in my lonely hours, yes, those precious lonely hours, Jesus lets me know that I was His own! Chorus Verse 3: I thank God for the mountains, and I thank Him for the valleys, I thank Him for the storms He brought me through. For if I'd never had a problem, I wouldn't know that he could solve them, I'd never know what faith in God could do.
