  1. God let me kindly do this for myself as a homeless student as He was ushering things in for me this whole time. For this I am thankful. Thankful for this harsh, abrupt, rebranding of my soul. Had too. The weak, frail, masked things of this world I accepted could have got me killed. Would have There was no protection in them. I accepted His leadership in the wilderness, not my own. This in turn has lead to a dramatic increase of love & acceptance. And for that I am thankful 🌹♥️🔥✨😭!
  2. Hello I had a dream about 6 or 7 months ago after I returned back to live with my husband after our 5 separation. In the dream I saw myself and my children with chains around our necks. God also called this place the wilderness (our home) Anyone know what this dream means?
  3. Daily Reading 53 If you prefer, you can look up the following verses in your own Bible, of by whatever means and in whichever version you choose. Matthew 4 Exodus 25-27 Proverbs 12 Audio 3:09 Audio 4:20 Audio 3:07 The above addresses are linked to Bible Gateway. That is an easy way to read (or listen to) the Bible verses, and choose your version. Personally, I prefer written, that way I can go at my own pace, on think about it, before moving on. Nothing wrong with doing either or both. The Bible says faith comes by hearing. See the picture below to get an idea of what to expect if you follow the above links. Note: The audio will not play the exact verses, it will play the whole chapters, in which the verses exist. Thank you Lord for making the your word so accessible for us in these times. Amen
  4. Matthew 11:29 - "Take my yoke and put it on you, and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in spirit; and you will find rest." Imagine bringing a problem, wrapped in a "burden bundle," to the throne of Jesus. Picture Him reaching out and offering to take it. Does the picture include your being all too glad to turn it over to Him or do you imagine yourself hesitating? Remember that trust is a part of praise. Affirmations: TODAY I STOP FIGHTING WITH GOD AND LEARN FROM HIM! I LET HIS WORD PUT TO DEATH THE TORMENTS OF THE SIN NATURE. I CEASE STRUGGLING; I CEASE WRESTLING AGAINST THE BLESSED ONE FOR I AM COMMITTED TO SURRENDER. MY REST COMES FROM BECOMING HONEST ABOUT MY NEEDS AND ALLOWING CHRIST TO CHANGE ME. "Listen! I hear the voice of someone shouting, 'Make a road for the Lord through the wilderness; make Him a straight, smooth road through the desert. Fill the valleys; level the hills; straighten out the crooked paths, and smooth off the rough spots in the road. The glory of the Lord will be seen by all mankind together.' The Lord has spoken-it shall be." - Isaiah 40:3-5 (The Living Bible) How do we "make a road for the Lord?" We do that by removing anything and everything from our lives that would hinder the way of the Lord. One translation says, "Remove all the obstacles out of His way. Next, we are told to "shout" in Isaiah 40:6-10 "Shout that man is like the grass that dies away, and all his beauty fades like dying flowers. ... O crier of good news, shout to Jerusalem from the mountaintops! Shout louder—don't be afraid-tell the cities of Judah, 'Your God is coming!' Yes, the Lord God is coming with mighty power; He will rule with awesome strength. See, His reward is with Him, to each as He has done." - Isaiah 40:6-10 What does that mean for us? It means, whatever has been standing in the way of the manifestation of the Word of God in your life, speak to it, shout to it—prophesy to it! It must fade away and the Word of God must come forth in manifestation. And finally, the Scripture says: "Your God is coming!" Yes, the Lord God is coming with mighty power. He will rule with awesome strength. See, "His reward is with Him, to each as he has done" - Isaiah 40:10 Song of Solomon 2:5,6 - "Sustain me with flowers, refresh me with apples; for I am lovesick. His left hand is under my head, and his right hand shall embrace me." AS SOON AS THE BRIDEGROOM (JESUS) SETS HIS LOVE WITHIN YOU, HE THEN BLESSES YOU WITH FELLOWSHIP DEEP WITHIN YOUR SPIRIT. YOU ARE ABLE TO BEAR MORE AND MORE OF GOD'S PRESENCE WITHOUT GROWING FAINT. CONFIRMED IN LOVE, YOU LIVE IN GOD. 1 John 4:16 - "Thus we have come to know and believe the love which God has for us. God is love; he who dwells in love is dwelling in God, and God in him." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRYhttp://afministry.ning.com
  5. Acts 14:22 - "Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God". Just as Israel had to go through a wilderness that was the exact opposite of the land of milk and honey they had been promised in order to get to their inheritance, wetoo, must do the same. For many of us, we have experienced a wilderness while fulfilling God's purpose for our life. We feel lonely, barren, and unfruitful. We have been so dry and thirsty that we find ourselves crying out to God in desperation. Our life is in disorder, and at times we are confused and irritated. God has a purpose for our wilderness -- He does NOT plan for us to stay there! God brought the Israelites out of Egypt for the purpose of not only proving their hearts but also to give them an opening to be delivered from a slavery mentality. John 16:33 - "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." Hebrews 3:1 - "Therefore, holy brethren, who share in a heavenly call, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession." AFFIRMATION: My confession -- the words I constantly speak day-after-day determine all that I will ever receive from God, whether it's salvation, physical healing, peace, or financial prosperity. Walk with Him along paths of trust. The most direct route between point A and point B on your life-journey is the path of unwavering trust in Him. When your faith falters, you choose a trail that meanders and takes you well out of your way. You will get to point B eventually, but you will have lost precious time and energy. As soon as you realize you have wandered from your trust-path, look to Him and whisper, “I trust You, Jesus.” This affirmation will help you get back on track. The farther you roam along paths of unbelief, the harder it is to remember that He is with you. Anxious thoughts branch off in all directions, taking you farther and farther from awareness of His Presence. You need to voice your trust in Him frequently. This simple act of faith will keep you walking along straight paths with Him. Trust in Him with all your heart, and He will make your paths straight. "Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord, the Lord, is the Rock eternal." - Isaiah 26:4 "Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you." - Psalm 9:10 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5–6 ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  6. Matthew 4:1 - "Jesus was the led away by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil." THE WORD "TEMPTED" ACTUALLY MEANS "TESTED OR PROVEN IN ADVERSITY." BEFORE JESUS WAS LED TO DO WONDERS, HE WAS LED TO DO BATTLE. THE FATHER PROVED THE CHARACTER OF HIS SON THROUGH CONFLICT. IT IS IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE THAT WHAT GOD HAS TAUGHT US IS TESTED. LIFE CONSISTS OF LEARNING LESSONS AND PASSING TESTS. THE INTEGRITY OF GOD REQUIRES THAT OUR LEARNING NOT BE MERE HEAD KNOWLEDGE, BUT THAT OUR HEART BE CONFORMED TO CHRIST SO THAT CHRIST WILL BE SOMETHING WE INSTINCTIVELY CHOOSE IN THE MIDST OF TEMPTATION OR BATTLE. Ecclesiastes 3:1 - "To every and a time to every purpose under the heaven." GOD DOES NOT DEAL WITH TIME; HE DEALS WITH TIMING. SOMETIMES THERE ARE SOME DIVINELY PERMITTED DELAYS IN MANIFESTING WHAT YOU'RE BELIEVING GOD FOR: ie. HE PERMITS THINGS NOT TO COME TO PASS UNTIL HE CAN GET YOU IN A CERTAIN POSITION.thing there is a season, IF YOU ARE FIGHTING THE GOOD FIGHT OF FAITH -- CERTIFYING AND CONFIRMING YOUR FAITH WITH THE WORD OF GOD AND STANDING FIRM UPON IT -- AND THERE IS A DELAY, THAT IS NOT THE TIME TO LET GO OF YOUR FAITH AND GIVE UP! THE DEVIL WILL TRY TO DECEIVE YOU INTO THINKING YOUR FAITH IS NOT WORKING OR THAT GOD IS NOT GOING TO COME THROUGH FOR YOU. Affirmations: I'M NOT MOVED BY WHAT I SEE. I'M NOT MOVED BY WHAT I FEEL. I'M ONLY MOVED BY THE WORD OF GOD. I BELIEVE GOD SAID WHAT HE MEANT, AND I BELIEVE GOD MEANT WHAT HE SAID. Proverbs 3:5 - "Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths. " "He who believes in Me [who cleaves to and trusts in and relies on Me] as the Scripture has said, from his innermost being shall flow [continuously] springs and rivers of living water."- (John 7:38)AMP As Believers in Jesus Christ we walk in and release a supernatural, prophetic river of life (see John 7:38). It is already flowing through us. The reality of the new creation is this: When a person is born again, the Spirit of Jesus comes and takes up residence inside. From that moment forward, new life flows out of that person like a river of living water. The new life that flows through us makes it possible for the Kingdom of God to touch the earth. AS FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST: We are called to bear good fruit and fruit that remains (see John 15:16), We are called to listen to what the Holy Spirit is saying (see John 16:13) and echo it in a meaningful, relatable way. Let him who has an ear listen to what the Spirit is saying (see Revelation 2:7). ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  7. Numbers 13:28,30 - "Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak (giants) there. And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it." MANY BELIEVERS, LIKE THE ISRAELITES, ARE WANDERING AROUND IN A WILDERNESS OF DEFEAT BECAUSE THERE'S AN ENEMY IN THE PROMISED LAND. THEY'RE BEING ROBBED OF THEIR RIGHTFUL INHERITANCE BECAUSE THEY'RE AFRAID TO FIGHT HIM. Affirmations: I AM NO LONGER GOING TO SIT IN THE WILDERNESS WHERE THE DEVIL STEALS THE BLESSINGS OF GOD OUT FROM UNDER ME. I HAVE GOD'S PERMISSION AND HIS POWER AND HIS ABILITY TO TAKE THE LAND. I GET VIOLENT ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT ......TODAY! Matthew 11:12 - "From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and violent take it by force." Hebrews 1:14 - "Are they (angels) not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" AS AN AMBASSADOR, THE MILITARY OF THE KINGDOM I REPRESENT IS AT MY DISPOSAL TO HELP ME CARRY OUT THE KING'S ORDERS. IF AS A REPRESENTATIVE OF A NATION MY LIFE IS THREATENED, ALL OF MY GOVERNMENT'S MILITARY MIGHT IS PREPARED TO DO WHAT-EVER NECESSARY TO PROTECT AND DELIVER ME. SO IT IS WITH THE HEAVEN'S ANGELIC HOST. THEY RENDER SERVICE FOR THOSE WHO WOULD INHERIT SALVATION. "But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by His grace, to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the heathen..." - Galatians 1:15,16 Before we were ever born He purposed in His heart to do mighty things in us. Are you going to refuse it, or are you gong to yield? 1. If you yield, He will put in you a living faith, and you cannot get away from the power of it. 2. How amazing it is that we can be so transformed that the thoughts of Christ will be first in our minds. 3. How blessed that when everybody around you is interested in everything else, you are thinking about Jesus Christ. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  8. Ephesians 5:14-18 - "Wake up from your sleep, and arise from the dead, And Christ shall shine upon you. Live life with a due sense of responsibility, not as men who do not know the meaning of life but as those who do. Make the best use of your time, despite all the evils of these days. Don't be vague but grasp firmly what you know to be the will of the Lord." As believers, we are instructed to live our daily lives with a sense of our unique devine DESTINY supported by goals and aims. 2 Corinthians 12:9 - "And he said unto me. 'My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." As we yield our wills and ways to the control of God's Holy Spirit, we begin to experience the walk of grace, as Jesus lives His life through us. The fire of passion burns brightly with this deposit of grace. Luke 3:2 - "The word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness." The word of God came to John the Baptist while he was alone in the wilderness, thus giving him clear direction for the days ahead. As a result of his being alone with the Lord, John came into a oneness with the Lord that could not have been accomplished in any other way. John 1:23 - "John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, 'I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, 'Make straight the way for the Lord.'" Each one of us should come to the place where we also could make this statement, "I am the voice of One." There is an urgent need for this voice to cry out in the midst of the frustrations and perils of our present day. We need to stand in the manifest presence of the Lord to be prepared as the voice of one crying in the wilderness of our day. May it be stated of us, as it was of the disciples of old, that it is apparent we have been with Jesus. This, and only this, will make the changes that must occur if we are to reach this hurting world with the message of God's redemptive, transforming grace. Affirmations: AS I RECOGNIZE HIS PRESENCE AND TURN ASIDE TO STAND BEFORE HIM, I BECOME THE EXPRESSION OF HIS VOICE CRYING IN THE WILDERNESS OF TODAY. AS I EXPERIENCE SPIRITUAL HUNGER AND SEEK FOR SOMETHING MORE, I AM CALLED APART TO BE ALONE WITH THE LORD FOR A TIME OF PREPARATION. AS I RECEIVE ANOINTING AND IMPARTATION OF GOD'S GRACE, I WALK A GRACE-FILLED LIFE IN ORDER TO SEE THE GLORY OF GOD FILL THE EARTH. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  9. Isaiah 43:18,19 - "Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert." When we catch a glimpse the new identity we have in Jesus Christ, we see sin to be the boring, useless, and stupid thing it really is and we turn more easily away from it. This other side has to do with the rich inheritance that we share in with Jesus Christ as co-heirs (see Romans 8:17; Ephesians 1:7, 11). We need to spend much more time confessing, not our sins, but who we are in Christ. Affirmation: I AM BELIEVING FOR GOD TO DO A NEW THING IN MY LIFE. Jude 3 - "Beloved, while I was very diligent to write to you concerning our common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you exhorting you to contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints." Observation: CONTEND MEANS TO FIGHT OR WAGE BATTLE. THERE IS CONSTANT OPPOSITION AND RESISTANCE TO MY PURSUIT OF GOD IN BOTH THE NATURAL AND SPIRITUAL REALMS! Hosea 4:6 - "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou has forgotten the law of the God, I will also forget their children." This infers that if God's people had knowledge of who they really are in Christ, of who God is, and of the rights and privileges of their dominion -- they wouldn't be destroyed. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  10. Acts 14:22 - "Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the Kingdom of God". Just as Israel had to go through a wilderness that was the exact opposite of the land of milk and honey they had been promised in order to get to their inheritance, we too, must do the same. God brought the Israelites out of Egypt for the purpose of not only proving their hearts, but also to give them an opening to be delivered from a slavery mentality. Hebrews 4:15 - "For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin." PAIN IS NOT MY ENEMY BUT MERELY THE PROOF THAT I HAVE ONE. Psalm 34:19 - "Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all." ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  11. We all have areas where we are in great need of the Lord of Breakthrough, but remember that before God broke through David's enemies, he returned to the stronghold and inquired of the Lord. "And David enquired of the Lord.....And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them (the Philistines) there, and said, The Lord hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters." - 2 Samuel 5:19,20 RETURN TO THE STRONGHOLD Breakthrough is found in our private devotion and personal pursuit of God when no one is watching. If you are in need of breakthrough, make it a point to "return to the stronghold" and watch what the God of the Breakthrough does for you. When He breaks open, we break out. "The breaker is come up before them: they have broken up, and have passed through the gate, and are gone out by it: and their king shall pass before them, and the Lord on the head of them." - Micah 2:13 "Return to the stronghold, you prisoners of hope. Even today I declare that I will restore double to you" (Zechariah 9:12). Jesus modeled this profound truth in His own life. We see in Luke 4:14 that His time of fasting in the wilderness produced great power as well as preparing and positioning Him for His next stage of life and ministry. Great miracles along with public demonstrations of tremendous power and authority were often preceded by significant time spent hidden away with His Father in secret. When we purpose to live a life of sacrificial devotion to our Father in the secret place through contemplative prayer and fasting, we and the world we live in will become greater for it. This is one way that we can say "yes" to the ebbing pull of the Spirit in our daily life. "The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and He knoweth them that trust in him." - Nahum 1:7 David found the God of the Breakthrough in the stronghold, not on the field of battle. He is our stronghold. It is in our returning to Him that He restores, breaks through, and gives back more than what we had lost and better than we had! A DOOR OF GREAT HOPE "So Moses brought Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water." - Exodus 15:22 For many of us, we have experienced a wilderness while fulfilling God's PURPOSE for our life. We feel lonely, barren, and unfruitful. We have been so dry and thirsty that we find ourselves crying out to God in desperation. Our life is in disorder, and at times we are confused and irritated. God has a purpose for our wilderness -- He does NOT plan for us to stay there! God brought the Israelites out of Egypt for the purpose of not only proving their hearts, but also to give them an opening to be delivered from old thinking. Many of us feel that we have been pulled into a place that at first we did not see as necessary in our apprehension of God's CALLING in our life. Truth be told, it is in this place that we are prepared to inherit and fully occupy the promises. For some of us, it may feel like a wilderness, but if we can embrace His pull we will begin to know and experience the Lord in a new way. It is in the "valley" of our troubles that He establishes a door of great hope (see Hosea 2:14-23). Properly recognizing and engaging in the wilderness experience is as vitally important to our divine DESTINY as when the "walls came down" for Israel. There we begin to see God and the treasures of His PURPOSE for our life in a way that we have never seen before. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY
  12. Believers find themselves in what appears to be a spiritual desert,a wilderness place where God does not seem to be moving and there spiritual lives seem to be stagnant, Its is such " Desert " times that become opportunities, for us to experience a Spiritual Retreat... Luke 4:1-2,14)-Jesus was lead in the desert , for 40 days (after which) Jesus returned to galilee in the power of the Spirit............Note)Then he started His public Ministry. Exd 2:15.......3:1-2,10)-When pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from pharaoh and went to live in Madian.... (3:1)-Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his Father-in-law , the Priest of median ,and he lead the flocks to the backside, of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of GOD . There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. vs,10)-So,now,go, I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt. Acts 7:29-30)-When Moses heard this ,he fled to Midian, where he settled as a foreigner and had 2 sons. After (40 yrs) had passed ,an angel appeared to Moses in the flames of a burning bush in the desert near Mount Sinai. Note)-Moses spent 40 yrs in Egypt, then 40 yrs in Midian, shepherding in the desert, And finally ,40 yrs of delivering ministry...(Delivering the multitude of the Iraelites for God) John the Baptist lived in the desert until the age of 30. Like Moses and John the Baptist, the times we spend on the backside of the desert can be very important to our spiritual growth, also fruitful time of purging ourselves from former bondages and evil associations. The desert can be a place of quality considering the good and bad in our lives, and making adjustments.. (This is where I believe I am, God is prepping, training, purging, cleansing,,for His plan for me)..Staying focused,is impearitive...... Blessing ,With Gods Grace, 7Dove77
  13. This thread relates to this other thread/article: where there was the following response which I've heard something similar before: When asked about this "right of the Holy Spirit to lead people into the wilderness" in Scripture the following examples were given: 1. Moses (Exodus 2:11-15) 2. Israel (with a focus on Numbers 13 & 14 - added by me) 3. Elijah (1 Kings 19) 4. Jesus (Matt. 4:1-17, Luke 4:1-15) 5. Another example not mentioned? So I'd like to open up this discussion with 3 questions: A. How do these examples point to a Christian being led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness? (For those who do not participate in a local Church...) B. What is God teaching you and how is God growing you during this time of separation from the local Church body? C. Is this removal from the local church long-term or for a time? Do you intend on eventually re-joining the local Church gatherings? God bless, GE
