Shalom brothers and sisters, I hope you are well in the Lord Jesus. I just have a question with regarding prayer, praise and worship while fasting. I would like guidance on how this should be done biblically, and from your experience, I really want to learn and experience this wonderful truth. For example if I set a full day or three days aside for fasting and praying, and praise and worship. Thank you and grace, mercy and peace from our Lord be with you all. Amen.
  2. It's 5:05am and my sweet son is in his room listening to this song..... I can hear him singing along ..... blesses this mama's heart!
  3. At almost any given time, I have music playing in the background (in my head). It keeps me humming and uplifted throughout the day. It might be something I heard yesterday .... or even last week... and it changes a few times throughout the day. Right now, it's a song I heard on the radio yesterday called "Reckless Love of God." What's your background music?
  4. "Hallelujah, You have saved me! So much better your way!" -So Much Better (Your Way) Bethel Music Thank you Yeshua!
  5. Shalom dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Yes we are Christian and yes we hold on to faith, promises and keep hope even during trial and tough times right? But we can't ignore the fact that some battles are harder than we thought nor negate the fact that some victories are taking much longer to happen then we would want to admit, in all reality we are mere humans and at times our faith is stretched to its limit which we only realize once our limit has been reached. We pray, fast, wait, serve ,worship and praise but the key to be joyful in the midst of these storms is Praise. Why? Well ,Cleary in Genesis and throughout the Bible God talks about wanting his creatures to glorify him therefore ,praise is the highest glorification he can be given which is why it is the key. I have learned that music can be a good way to get in the mood, finding spiritual music that speak to our feelings sets us in the right atmosphere to praise. Singing and dancing brings happiness ,relief and joy. Its easy to praise God when we are in our winning season but it is harder in our "I hit my limit" season but this is the most powerful praise as it requires true reverence and submission to undertake yet, it is also the most effective and speed releasing process. In Luke 18, God talks about the persistent widow and states that if we like her persist in asking he will "speedily" rescue and answer us. God whom talks a lot about perseverance and patience which we experience throughout our lives now speaks of speed? Praise is your weapon,it makes God happy. Its like when you are sad and somehow someone brings your favourite food, beverage or you watch your favourite movie or talk to your best friend these moments where you feel so happy quickly and forget instantly your sadness since something you truly deeply enjoy is right at your fingertip this is praise to God and even more when he sees how you feel and regardless have taken a step out of your pain to make him smile. Music is an open doorway to joy, find good music to cheer up and then praise God and see how he reacts. Here is a song that summarizes this little advice I wanted to share to encourage anyone in need today a very good song! Be blessed!
  6. My fellowship preference is for mutually comforting faith among those who have "a yearning to fellowship with those of like faith, in order to liberally share something given freely by the Holy Spirit to reinforce them." Rom 1:11-12 (11) For I long to see you, that I may impart unto you some spiritual gift, to the end ye may be established; (12) That is, that I may be comforted together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. This preference for mutually comforting faith is both a deal maker and a deal breaker when it comes to my fellowshipping decisions. For something to be mutual there must be some reciprocity, or beneficial exchange between those concerned. If there is no comforting cooperation and participation from those I am assembling with for edification I soon part company with them, as Paul did with those who refuted his preaching in the synagogue at Corinth. Act 18:4-7 (4) And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks. (5) And when Silas and Timotheus were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit, and testified to the Jews that Jesus was Christ. (6) And when they opposed him, and blasphemed, he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles. (7) And he departed thence, and entered into a certain man's house, named Justus, one that worshipped God, whose house joined hard to the synagogue. Rather than forsake assembling anywhere with anyone because of a Scripture-based fellowship preference mature Christians prayerfully seek out like-minded companions who encourage one another and form supportive relationships. Heb 10:23-25 (23) Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. (24) And let us consider one another for the stirring up of love and of good works, (25) not forsaking the assembling of ourselves, just as is the custom for some, but exhorting one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. I hope your fellowship preference is among those who share mutually comforting faith in Christ.

  8. Okay, so here's the thing, I know for a fact this post is going to push a few buttons as I know there is bound to be at least one person who is a member at this church who will see this. Firstly, let me start off by saying that I do not know how to test the spirits as yet and therefore I am unable to tell whether or not someone is a false prophet and so, therefore, I always conduct a google search to do a background check on the "preacher" in question - I've only recently started doing this. I think highly of Joyce Meyer but according to research, she's a false prophet. I wouldn't say I follow the teaching of Steve Furtick as I have yet to listen to one of his messages but I love, love, love Elevation Worship. According to research, he is a false prophet. I have seen online that Pastor Furtick is a big fan of rock music and it shows in his ministry, his church does look a lot like a concert venue. It just makes me question if I am in the wrong for listening and worshipping to the music of Elevation Worship. I have their songs fullness, give me faith, the King is among us and resurrecting on repeat, with a strong love for a couple others. ANOTHER EXAMPLE: Charlotte Gambill of Life Church, Bradford, UK I remember my first encounter with Charlotte's message, it was at a women's conference hosted by a popular UK Christian organisation called Premier. I loved her message and went on to attend Charlotte's own women conference several months later with empowering and uplifting messages, there was a couple of secular songs played but not half as much as I heard when I attended her conference this year. I guess I didn't hear as much secular music as I attended her conference myself this year and was always on time to hear the word, in comparison to last year when I went with a friend and we were always late. This year, music from the likes of Beyonce, Pharrell Williams etc. was played and I looked around thinking that I couldn't possibly be the only person to disagree with what was going on? Secular music at a Christian conference? I wasn't as bothered last year as I wasn't so grounded in the word and in my faith as yet but my present church has taught me how vital it is to not participate in listening and singing secular music. I guess 1 Corinthians 10:31 confirms why, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." The issue is I love their worship team too, not half as much as I do Elevation Worship but that's beside the point. Honestly, I don't know why I even bothered to write this post. I know it's wrong to continue listening to a worship team led by a wolf in sheep's clothing. I guess like things of the world it's hard to pull away from something damaging to your spiritual walk, even more so actually. I just thought I would share my viewpoint with you all. God bless you all, Deanne
  9. O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before him, all the earth. Ps 96:9 A beautiful video from beautiful Psalm 139!
  10. PSALMS 22:22 “In the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise.”
  11. Some 10 years ago, during a very difficult time of my life, the Lord led me to listen to a particular praise and worship CD 24/7. I had it playing in my home and in my vehicle if I went someplace. Many times, the Lord would draw me to spend time in His presence, just to fellowship and to pour myself out to Him (as He still does) and those are some very intense and powerful times. One night, I had gone to sleep with the CD playing softly, as I had for weeks... and I was given a dream: I dreamed I was at a Christian retreat in the mountains and there was a handful of us gathered together. Everyone had their mind on the Lord, and I could hear the most indescribably beautiful music... after a bit, one person stood and prayed and then when they were done, the next person, and then the next, and the next.... what was amazing is that each person's prayer sounded like a song... like individual stanzas to one beautiful Heavenly song! And when each person had sung their prayer, then everyone joined in one accord and prayed powerfully on behalf of a person I knew. The entire time, this Heavenly music was playing. When I woke, I was still hearing that Heavenly music, and then it faded into the song that was playing on my CD player... a song by Paul Baloche, "No Eye Has Seen." When I awoke, it was still the middle of the night, and I was praying in the Holy Spirit, intercession for this woman/friend. After a bit, I fell back to sleep. Later that day, I wrote an email to a mutual friend and told her about the dream and the song. She then relayed it to the woman I dreamed about (who we prayed for in the dream). What we discovered is that she had been going through some difficulty and had some things she was seeking answers for from God. She had gone to that Christian retreat to spend time seeking God... and the night of my dream was her first night there. __________________ When I listen to music, and sing along, it is from my heart and spirit to Him. (I can carry a tune, but my voice is nothing spectacular, imo.) But what I'm wanting to emphasize is.... worship is a lifestyle, a state of the heart .... and even our prayers are worship ... everything we do (as unto the Lord) is worship. When our heart has a revelation of His goodness and love, one can't help but burst with His praises! I can see that it is your heart to worship Him... you've acknowledged some things that have hindered the outflow... I believe God sees and will honor your desire to worship and praise Him. 1 Corinthians 2:9 “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” Psalm 95:1 "O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation." Psalm Chapter 150 1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness. 3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. 5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals. 6 Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
  12. Praise the Lord, hallelujah! Praise You, God, for your purity and perfection! Praise You Lord, Jesus Christ, for saving me and my testimony! Glory be to You, God, our Father who art in Heaven! Thanks be to the Holy Spirit's comfort, teaching and guidance! All we know, understand, experience and struggle with is for your glory, perfect plan and unquestionable will. I shall not want or crave anything outside of Jesus Christ's way. Let me know if so, let me understand what You want for us is best. May I pick up and carry my own cross, denying myself for You. I worship You as all knowing, powerful and gracious. May I draw closer to You and keep You as top priority in my family's lives. You are first, my family is second and I am here to serve. May I serve you reverently, fully and completely. May there be less of me and more of Jesus Christ instead. Jesus, You are thee only way, light and salvation. All I need is You. God, You take care of the rest. You are in control, God, making and letting everything happen. I am in awe and wonder of your creation. I am eternally grateful, worshipping You and your Son for thee ultimate sacrifice and act of love. This body is your temple, use it as You will. Bend me from my will to yours. It is all about You, everything concerns and relates to You! Yours is the kingdom, the power and the glory, forever and ever, in Jesus Christ's name, amen! Sincerely yours, GregoryB
  13. The Meaning of [eternal] Life All it takes is a short, simple to the point prayer surrendering to Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Saviour. Be sincere and follow through. God takes care of the rest, you and every need. Remember to pray in Jesus Christ's name, for God's will. Discernment, knowledge and understanding will flow on God's time and limitless ability. Feed yourself with prayer, Christian fellowship, worship, singing praises to the Lord. Immerse yourself in the Holy Bible, God's inspired living word! The enemy will lie, deceive, trick and play all sorts of mind games in an effort to destroy you and your faith. Confess, apologize for, rebuke and repent from every single last sin committed ever. Call on the power, blood and name of Jesus Christ and be saved! Every sin has already been forgiven by God, past, present and future. His Son won over sin, death and hell. His unconditional love is true, pure and perfect. Tell your account to God with forgiveness. Make your life testimony strong. It is never too late. Christ's blood, death and resurrection paid your debt and price. You now belong to Christ, take heart. Your body is a temple. Keep trying and building on the cornerstone of Christ. God bless you and your new eternal life starting immediately, hallelujah, thanks and all glory be to God!
  14. Proverbs 20:27 - "The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly." As we begin to cry out from a deep engaging of the Spirit of the living God within our spirits, we experience the communion of the Holy Spirit, which is a place of deep to deep fellowship with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit searches out the deep counsel of God for you and reveals it to you. OBSERVATION: If I am sensitive to my spirit, the Lord will tell me what to pray about. He will alert me to those things that need to be addressed in prayer. I become sensitive to my spirit by meditating on spiritual things at all times -- by meditating on the Lord, on His goodness, on His greatness, and on His Word. AFFIRMATIONS:Out of His glorious riches He strengthens me with power through His Spirit in my inner man. (Ephesians 3:16) I receive the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him. (Ephesians 1:17) The same Spirit that raised Christ Jesus from the dead dwells in me. So, therefore, I walk in His Kingdom power. I walk in the Presence of the Lord, in step with Him. His fire surrounds me and His Glory dwells within me. My speech demonstrates the power of God’s Spirit in my life. (I Corinthians 2:4) "God put His stamp of ownership (seal)on you by giving you the Holy Spirit he had promised...so that your minds may be opened to see His light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you...and how very great is his power at work in us who believe. This power in us is the same as the mighty strength which he used when he raised Christ from death." - Ephesians 1:13,18-20 To be sealed means to be stamped with an image. That means, when we were born again, we were stamped with the likeness of the Anointed One. We were made to look like the Lord Jesus Christ on the inside. OBSERVATION: Shall we stop short of what He says we ought to be -- shall we cease to come into line with the Mind which is always thinking for our best -- shall we cease to humble ourselves before him who took the way of the cross for us -- shall we cease to withhold ourselves from Him.Can a true believer come to God today without a cry to God to make them, as it were, flames of fire?God shall endue you in that you won't be satisfied until you feel the very members of your body on fire with a Spirit-kindled PURPOSE. Song of Solomon 3:10 - "He made the pillars of silver and the couch of gold. the ascent is of purple and the middle of it is decorated with love for the daughters of Jerusalem." THE PILLARS OF THE HUMANITY OF JESUS CHRIST ARE OF SILVER. HIS COUCH, WHICH IS THE DIVINE NATURE OF CHRIST, IS MADE OF GOLD. THE ASCENT, OR THE ENTRY WAY, SPEAKS OF THE JOURNEY OF JESUS CHRIST. THE MIDDLE OF THE ROYAL CHARIOT IS DECORATED WITH GOLD ORNAMENTS; THIS SHOWS THAT LOVE IS THE CROWNING GLORY OF ALL THE FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT.JESUS CHRIST CONTAINS ALL THE TREASURES OF WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE IN THE FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD. 15. Luke 11:13, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him." One of the most powerful ways we can "turn the tide" of what is going on in our lives and the things going on around us is through our surrendered worship. Maybe you feel like the tide is against you right now. Realize that you can turn the tide through your simplicity of worship to the Lord. It does not need to be a big display, but it does need to be fresh. Through the spirit of worship we are able to access the realms of glory where revelation flows (Revelation 19:10). ACCESS A FREEDOM CONSCIOUSNESS When revelation flows there is truth present that has the power to make you free. You shall "know" the truth and the truth shall make you free (John 8:32). The Word of God is truth but it needs to be accompanied with the Spirit of Revelation, just as Jesus told Peter that He would build His Church on the rock of revelation. Matthew 16:17-18, "Jesus answered and said to him, 'Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in Heaven. And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.'" What Jesus was referring to here was not a one-time event in Peter's life or in our lives, but a continual flow of the Spirit of Revelation in us (Ephesians 1:17). Without the light of revelation making God's Word alive to us, it is still just ink on paper. God's Spirit makes the Word of God alive in our hearts. Through a heart of worship, our relationship is made alive thereby propelling us into a place of living light and revelation concerning the truth of God. Psalm 119:105, "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." Our worship powerfully transforms us and the atmosphere around us because it has an innate heavenly multi-faceted effect upon our lives. Worship: (in the context of vocalization and surrender to God): • Causes us to be filled with the Holy Spirit, making us habitations of God. • Changes the spiritual climates surrounding us. • Refreshes our spirit, soul, and body. • Enables us to enter into the courts of the Lord. • Establishes the Lordship of Christ in our hearts. Ephesians 5:18-20, "And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." ACCESSING OUR VAST INHERITANCE Don't settle for good when you can have the best. God wants us to have the best! Our Father has a vast rich inheritance for us to access right here and now. Realize that the Holy Spirit is an essential ingredient for your life to flourish. Get your full inheritance. Get your fresh bread from the Holy Spirit. Turn the tide of your life through the simplicity of devotion and worship. Don't allow the enemy to steal the most basic and essential life-giving ingredients for your life. If you need to learn how to worship, then ask the Holy Spirit to help you. Yield yourself to God casting everything you are and have upon Him. Jesus said, "How much more will your Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask!" Luke 11:13, "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him." Realize what your Father has for you (God's PURPOSE for your life) and begin to turn the tide through your surrendered heart of worship and thanksgiving today. A fresh heart of worship will break you through to a new place where the rivers of living waters flow freely! Take hold, drink deep and overflow! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
  16. Good Morning Friends! We have published a new article to get your morning started! Come check it out! https://abideandseek.com/truly-engage-worship/ Be Blessed! Nick & Leah Co-Founders of Abide and Seek How To Truly Engage In Worship Worship is such an important aspect of our relationship with Jesus. Yet so many of us struggle to engage in true worship. For me, worship is one of my favorite parts of Sunday service. I might be a little bias because I am a musician and am on my church’s worship team. As I sing on Sunday morning I often close my eyes to focus intently on Jesus as I let my praise pour out from my soul and up into eternity. My worship wasn’t always this way though. Even though I’ve always sung and played instruments I remember a time when I didn’t even sing along with the congregation, let alone participate on the worship team. I let the fear of what others may think of me hold me back from truly connecting with God. Now I see that this was just the enemy keeping me from one of the greatest gifts God has given us. Worship. Maybe this resembles your current worship experience. Here are some things you can do this Sunday to truly engage in worship. How To Truly Engage In Worship Allow Perfect Love to Cast Out Fear It can be hard at first to push past the fear of what the people around you might think and really pour out your heart in worship. Remember this fear is from the enemy and he is just trying to keep you from the power of worship. Maybe you think you can’t sing and you are afraid of what your worship will sound like. Remember you are worshiping God not auditioning for The Voice, don’t let this doubt hold you back. Also, remember that you are worshiping God for a reason, He is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings, the Name Above All Names and He is Love. In 1 John 4:18 John writes “There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.” Next time you stand to worship on Sunday morning first remember that if you are in Jesus Christ you have been made perfect in love and every fear that comes your way has no place at the sound of His holy name! Celebrate That Love Your decision to enter into a relationship with Jesus Christ was the greatest decision you have ever made. Not only that but the gift of God’s son, that He sent into the world to die on a cross, is the greatest gift ever given. Worship is the time to celebrate all of that! Forget about what anyone around you may think or the looks anyone may give you, who cares? Jesus laid down His life to free you from the bondage of sin and give you eternal life… that is a reason to really celebrate. When I engage in worship I allow all of my attention to be set on Him. I don’t just murmur the words of the worship song I lift those words to Heaven in a true spirit of praise and adoration. There is no greater way to celebrate His amazing grace and Love than to sing a new song to the Lord. Not only does this celebration fuel your relationship with Jesus it can also be a way to help fuel other people’s relationship with him too. Express Your Love We spend so much time thinking about what our brothers and sisters might think of our worship, that we often forget how much of a positive effect our worship can actually have on them and their worship. The main reason most people you see in church are standing in silence during worship is that everyone around them is also standing in silence. It can be awkward at first to pour out into worship while everyone around you is standing still staring dead ahead. This is why it is so important that we drive out fear and go for it! Could you imagine how different your worship service would look if everyone was truly engaging in worship? Sometimes it only takes one person standing out in a crowd to spark the flame. Also, remember that there is so much pain and suffering in the pews around you. Worship is more than singing songs, it’s a powerful gift from God that can bring true healing to our souls. Even if you don’t happen to “feel in the worship mood” Sunday morning forget about yourself and think about the person next to you. Maybe your pouring out into worship might encourage them to do so and bring much-needed mending into their life. This could also help humble you in spirit and allow you to really set yourself aside and focus on Jesus Let Go We carry so much unnecessary baggage around with us everywhere we go. It seems to just accumulate as our weeks go on and we find ourselves overburdened Sunday morning. Worship is the perfect time to let it all go. As you raise your voice in praise, remember this scripture from 1 Peter 5:7: “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” Remembering this truth, we can allow ourselves to release all of the anxiety and stress we have been carrying around and renew our strength in Him. One of my favorite ways to surrender and let go in worship is to lift my hands. This is probably one of the hardest things for most people to do during worship. After realizing how hard something so simple was to do, I began to understand how effective it must be if the enemy is fighting so hard to keep us from doing it. When we lift our hands in praise, it really brings us to the heart of surrender and worship. This is hands down(no pun intended) the greatest and simplest thing we can do to really engage in worship. If you find it hard to lift your hands in praise during worship, try doing this during prayer time, everyone’s eyes are closed so no one will see you. This will help you feel the power of doing so and eventually bring you to a place of feeling comfortable doing it during worship. Remember the fear that is holding you back from pouring out your heart in true worship is from the enemy. The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. Focus on the love of Jesus as you lift your voice to heaven in praise. That love will drive out fear but most of all remember that you are already made perfect in love and that the fear has no place in your life to begin with. This is your time to draw close to your heavenly father and to celebrate and express the love you have for Him. Don’t let satan stop you from enjoying what God has given you. Take all of the fear and doubt and shame and burden and lay it at the feet of Jesus Christ. Allow yourself to truly engage in worship this Sunday, push the fear aside and lift His name on High!
  17. Numbers 2:9 -- "All that were numbered in the camp of Judah were.......These shall FIRST set forth." Throughout the Old Testament, the Israelites conquered their foes with the ultimate weapon – praise and worship. We know this because of the recorded fact that – of the 12 tribes of Israel – the tribe of Judah was the one that was usually sent first. The very name Judah means "praise" (see Genesis 29:35). The divisions from the tribe of Judah, praising the Most High simply by moving forward together, could shatter the atmosphere of resistance before the warriors from the other 11 tribes even got to the front lines. In the same way, we need to "send Judah first" into our own situations. Are we facing an intimidating foe? Send Judah (praise) up against it first. Are we not sure you can hold the territory you have conquered? Send Judah first. Do we feel weak and worn out and confused? Send Judah first. Lift up the banner of praise! We drop our other garments and weapons by the roadside, and move forward like Judah, giving expression to a heart that is filled with godly confidence, awe, and courage. Praise the Lord! Yes, let's just praise the Lord! Remember, worship always precedes His presence! ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com
