If I have to ask myself or someone " is ___fill in the blank___ a sin " it most likely is and I'd be best to avoid it. With that being said, to answer your question specifically, let's see what the Lord says shall we ? Matthew 5:27-30 27 "You have heard that it was said, 'Do not commit adultery' 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to sin, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. The answer here is yes Josh, it is definitely a sin to look at any type of pornography. (besides the obvious that God speaks against lust) When you look at porn, you have lustful thoughts in your mind, the images you see on the internet stay in your mind enabling you to recall them later when you're NOT on the internet, thus keeping you in a constant state of lust. This also goes for what you hear - while watching these images, if you have a soundcard, then you also hear the reactions of the participants - again enabling you to recall them at a later time. The Lord calls us to keep our thoughts and hearts pure and Godly always. When you get these urges to watch this stuff, call upon Jesus sincerely and He will help you. He will give you His strength to turn it off. Do you know that constant sinning in this way distorts and affects every part of us? If affects our relationship with the Father, our ability to understand and interpret Scripture, our dealings with others, just everything. Sin is a poison that destroys everything including our thinking. The holier your walk before God, the better it is all across the board in every situation of your life and for the people you are around and affect. Stay away from ALL things that do not please God.
