Hello Casper,

To argue against the triune nature of God is one thing. To make the statement...

"The Trinity teaching that God is three persons is all based on interpretation of scriptures they do not understand. The pagan philosophers introduced it and I doubt that those who believe it will be saved."

...is quite another. Do you realize what we believe? Our Statement of Faith is clear on the subject. It states:

"We believe in the triunity of God. We believe that God is eternally One, and also eternally the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit -- the three being distinct, but not separate. Each Person of the Godhead coexists from everlasting to everlasting."

Now if you ask why, that's great. We will share, as we have been doing from the beginning of this thread as well as on MANY other threads on the same topic.

I won't post any more questions because NONE of the questions I have posed have been answered (not that idied2 didn't try).

We have the WORD of God to stand on and our understanding is in line with the entire WORD in context; not just a few passages taken out of context. It has NOTHING to do with anything other than the WORD as the Spirit gives understanding.

Be Blessed,

Wayne

Jesus is Lord? Why is'nt it in the bible "Jesus is God".

I think it is in the Bible:

Heb. 1

[8] But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.

For one place.

If God was triune why wouldnt He tell us plainly like the way He told us how He made the creation? Why did He leave it for us to figure it out? The bible is so clear about describing His attributes ..God is not a man ..God cannot be tempted ..God doesnt Change ..God is love ..God is not the author of confusion ..God is a spirit ..it could have easily said God is triune if that attribute was so important for us to follow ..

Why didn't He 'plainly' tell us when the rapture will take place?

Joh 5:39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Pro 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

GOOD answer Calamity. :)

GOD was plain regarding His nature. It is our finite mental capacity that limits our understanding of infinite concepts to include the FULL nature of God.

GOD used the plural to describe His nature in Genesis. GOD, in the form of a man, spoke to Joshua. GOD told Moses to tell the Israelites that I AM sent him. GOD revealed his triune nature at the baptism of Jesus with the His Son in the water, His Spirit in the form of a dove and the Father's voice spoke from above and said, "This is my Son in whom I am well pleased." The Son told His followers that only the Father knew when He would return... not even Jesus knows the date or time. Jesus also told His followers that the Holy Spirit would come and not to leave Jeruselum until He showed up. Can GOD be any more clear? It goes on and on throughout the WORD of God.

Our Statement of Faith is based on the Word of God and states:

We believe in the triunity of God. We believe that God is eternally One, and also eternally the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit -- the three being distinct, but not separate. Each Person of the Godhead coexists from everlasting to everlasting.

Thank you guys(Calamity, whatsitmean, Saved by Grace & LCPGUY)

Can you also explain:

Numbers 23:19 God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?

Luke 12:8 I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.

So how come numbers 23:19 says God cannot be a son of man? Or am I understanding it wrong or missing something?

What God is saying is that he does not possess the human capacity to lie. He is just saying that he is not a liar. You are using improper hermeneutics when you try emphasise a few certain words, and ignore the rest of the statement. God is not a promise breaker, and God does what he says He will do. That is the plainest and most obvious meaning there. The emphasis is on God's integrity not His essence.

Luke 12:8 I tell you, whoever acknowledges me before men, the Son of Man will also acknowledge him before the angels of God.

So how come numbers 23:19 says God cannot be a son of man? Or am I understanding it wrong or missing something?

You are missing quite a bit. You are miquoting Numbers 23:19 by only quoting part of the verse. Satan did that to Jesus in the wilderness. You don't want to follow his example. It says in Numbers 23:19 that God is not a son of man that he should change His mind. The emphasis, again, is on God's integrity. He is saying that He is not like a man that lies or changes His mind or breaks His promises. God is simply saying in that verse that you can depend on Him to fulfill every word He speaks, and to be honest 100% of the time.

Numbers 23:19 does not say that God cannot be a man, or a son of man. The focus of the verse is not whether or not God is a man or could be a man, but that He does not lie, nor does He change His mind, like men do. God cannot lie as men do, and God does not change His mind as men do. This verse is no proof that God could not, or would not become a man.

Caspar, you've answered my question with a question....common tactic, but I see right through it. Would you please address my specific question first ? Then we can carry on.

In case you missed it, here it is again -

Would you explain to me how an eternal God who has existed before time & eternity created Himself ? And if God created Himself as Jesus ( as you purport ), what do you do with John 1:1 and Col 1:16 where is specifically says that Jesus created everything there is. How do you explain your "Oneness Doctrine" when it's so clear that it just can not be ?

Please, no conjecture here....only facts backed up with scripture.

Also add these questions as well please.....

Jesus Christ is the Father, the Spirit and the Son. The eternal invisible Holy Spirit of God the Father revealed in the Son of man Jesus Christ.

So who was on Heaven's Throne while Jesus walked the Earth ? Did He leave an angel in charge ? Did He control it from Earth ? Scriptural proof please

You also said The apostles always baptized in the name of Jesus. Scriptural proof please ?

Thanks....

In HIM,

Bob

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
