I do believe our founding fathers were trying to find a place where they were free to worship Him.. I am proud of this county is has been a good country to live in and to worship in... no one here worships our founding fathers but we do appreciate the price they paid that we could live free and worship free.. and how God has guided them in that process... Bless you.. I do not know how you cannot see that... without government there is anarchy .. Is this what you want for this world? I believe God cares very much who is in authority and how they got there... I really hope someone will come along and show you what I cannot... that there is a place for government .. and government requires just that ...governing... laws...rules ... punishments and rewards and yes protection from those who would harm those who live under that government.. I personally Thank God I live in a country that has thus far protected her citizens and reached out to try to protect many who were not able to protect themselves... They represent rule by majority. Our system of government, which is a representative (or Federalist) Republic, is based on individual rights; thus the well armed lamb. Our founding fathers were not prophets, nor did they proclaim themselves to be. Gauntlet, do yourself a favor and stop criticizing what you DO NOT understand. That's true, although our respective relationships with the British Crown are different. You got your indendance from the British by fighting for it and we got ours by asking nicely. So it's no wonder there are such different attitudes. Comparing the founding fathers to OT prophets was a bit of hyperbole, I admit. The well-armed lamb ... I get it.
