Well up until recenty I would have said "been to many, got prayed for at many, never been healed through one."

However in recent months I was healed after being prayed for at one.

God can show up anywhere and heal anyone anywhere anytime so I'm not all together sure on the whole thing. There is the whole............... " where two or more are gathered thing..................." but I do wonder if it was just the timing or the specific person who prayed for me. Ultimatly it was God who did and does heal but one has to ask the question was it the time and place and vessel ( the healing pastor ) or was it that God would have healed me no matter where I was on that day?

I conducted healing serves and now teach a class on how to minister healing and see almost weekly the healing power of God.

I would say we can not generalize about healing services as a whole.

I have found it does not need to be at a healing service since I have seen healing even when I prayed for someone over the phone or by email as well as in person

I think a bit of clarification would help.

Do you mean services where people pray for God's healing for bodily ills or the circus-like productions that are so common today where a carnival barker dressed as a man of God spews forth lies in the name of the almighty dollar??

I believe God heals and we must continue to pray for this, along with all of our needs.

I don't believe that I should be writing to Peter Popoff to get a plastic vial of "miracle water" so I can dribble it on my kids broken arm instead of bringing him to the doctor.

I don't think I will be sending Oral Roberts' ministry any money to cure him of a cancer he will get if he doesn't receive $500,000.00 by next Tuesday.

Well, you get the idea.

BTW- Why do profesional faith healers go to doctors, anyway?? :D

Healing services, what is your opinion on them?

Very simple. Judge them by their fruits. Either people get healed there, or they don't. One observation:

From what I've seen, many people leave a healing service still unhealed, yet feeling assurance that they have received a blessing and will be healed by it in the near future. I've heard many testimonies like this.

But the example of Jesus must be our guide. When he healed people, it was instantaneous. He touched them, they were healed. They didn't have to wait an hour or a day or a month.

But even in the ministry of Jesus himself, miracles were the exception, not the rule. "A wicked generation demands a miraculous sign", he said. His primary method of ministry was plain-spoken instruction.

I think they are plainly unbiblical. Healing is something that God grants at His will. There aren't "healers" who throw around this power of God at their will.

God, may at times, give the gift of healing to someone through a follower of His. This must be coupled by the believers gift and measure of faith. After all, it takes quite a bit of faith to say, "stand up, take up your bed and walk!"

Healing is bibical and you know it...

How many more scriptues do you want or will you still deny the word of God?

Cool it, man...

I don't think Ray was doubting the Bible. :o But surely, you must agree that there are plenty of false prophets around today. And we must be careful where we look for spiritual guidance.

Should we look for guidence amoung those that believe what God's word says or those that dont.
