I guess I'm still waiting for some one to say audio tapes or CD's or videos is how they read the Bible.

I read mine word by word...ha ha ha. I have a one year Bible too. It's really been great reading it this year. I personally don't love devotional books. I would like to know what the bible says for myself...with the Holy Spirit's direction of course!

Read the Bible on tape or CD ?

Sorry Ray, just hard timin' ya. Tapes, CD's, etc. can be nice ? But nothing replaces a hard copy. Gotta have it....can't live without it. It's a love letter from Daddy  I do love Daddy so :il:

Keep a Bible on hand all the time....pretty hard to research something on tape....

God bless,

Bob

:wub:I look at several things when I am reading a passage of Scripture...

1. What was going on behind the scenes... what questions could the people have asked the author of that book or what provoked the writing of the passage.

2. God's promise, command, warning, character, & nature

3. Applies to studying any part of the bible in general -how does this apply to me today?

:rofl:If I am studying a book of the bible,

then I pull out commentaries, a strong's concordance, dictionary in case I want a fuller definition of a particular word, a greek/hebrew lexicon, and my study bible.

You have to find a method that most definitely suits you.

My husband listens to the Bible on CD when he is in his car. He also reads it though.
