I'm not completely sure about this, but Camilla, who Prince Charles married, was a divorcee and that leaves him ineligible to the throne under British law as Charles gave up his right to it when he married a divorcee. This report says the Queen denies William is being groomed for early succession - he's helping out his 83 year old grandmother with duties. Charles is still the heir to the throne and William is 2nd in succession. But why HRH Prince William, - because after HRH Prince Charles, he will be King. (HM always considers such matters, having an old family firm to run). HRH Prince Harry would get my vote though

Or at least give real power to them so they can be real kings not just dressed up rich people who symbolize everything America fought for to free themselves of. Guest HIS girl
I always thought Prince William wasn't interested in being future King...I was of the understanding he wanted a "normal life"...yeah right! Prince Harry is the "play boy Prince" at the moment and William "looks the part" but isn't that interested in Royal duties...but then again, that's the media for you..I could be totally wrong.
