The short version is like: Lucifer's job was to bring light into this world, he was worshipped as a god by the then living people of this earth. Every time he went to heaven and came back to bring light into this earth it looked like a cape caneveral lift-off that could be seen by all inhabitants of the ancient world. This still sounds weird to me. How does an already identified planet become a new planet just because it gets bigger? Also, can a person really resolve the size of the planets with the naked eye? And did anyone back then actually know what a "planet" is? (Note, the word planet comes from the word "wanderer" because they were stars that wandered across the sky.) (Disclaimer:I notice this theory about Mars is different from what the Zeta Talk folk - the ones making the most noise about Planet X - are saying.)
