Are you for real?

Yes I am, but are you?

Did you read my article?

Do you read the Bible?

Have you read Hosea?

Look up LO-AMMI in Hosea and then ask me if I am for real.

Please base you're arguments on the bible and only the bible.

Knee-jerk reactions are usually wrong.

A lot of Christians support Israel for no other reason that they think it's a biblical requirement. I don't read that in the bible.

I read that we are not to be yoked to unbelievers.

I read that God (Surprise! It's not Washington D.C.) protects and looks after Israel.

So, as a matter of fact, by propping up the Socialist State of Israel we are probably working against God's plan.

Doing

knee-jerk supporting of a nation in unbelief, one that is headed for Armageddon is not exactly what I would call calm, rational Christianity.

Yes! I am for real.

Are you? If you are, base your argument on the Bible instead of knee jerk reactions.

Genesis 12

1.  The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you.

2.  "I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.

3.  I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you."

Most evangelical Christians believe this promise to be unrevoked by God, Joe. I am not saying Israel is right with God but God still blesses those the bless, and curses those that curse. I personally don't believe there will be peace until the anti-christ is in power and brings a temporary (3 1/2 years) peace.

I would consider preaching the gospel to Israel to be the greatest blessing of all.

I don't think God is much impressed with tanks and money.

It is also important to remember that the land God gave to Israel has never been claimed by Israel. Never.

The land stretches from the Mediterranian to Egypt, to around Damascus all the way over to the river Euphrates.

This will not happen until the Millennium.

To claim that God gave the land to Israel is pretty much hot air since you can't take a Bible into a courtroom and try and enforce that. Nations have always defended their borders with guns. Also, giving Israel the land because of Biblical or Historic grounds would obligate to give the entire northern and southern America back to the Indians.

Ain't going to happen.

Lastly, for Christians the NT supercedes the OT, so 2 Cor 6:14-16 most certainly applies and must not be ignored.

God bless Israel.

Pretty much sums up the Middle East situation as I see it.

A nation that simply allows it's people to be blown all over the scenery does not deserve to go on, deserves no pity and it's time America cuts all aid to all the Middle East nations because it is nothing but a huge waste of money, time and manpower.

Eph replies..

Fortunatly Joe...God has said differently on this subject..!

As things play out before you on your TV..keep your eyes on the USA...Britian..and Israel..and ask yourself "How come they ALWAYS stick together..no matter what..?

Because it's gonna be us against ALL the others that decide to stand against US..!

Eph writes...after reading further posts by Joe..

Of course what else would I base it on..Joe..??

Lo Ammi means ..no longer MY people..That isn't speaking of the JEWS Joe..thats speaking of the Northern 10 tribes...Notice in HOS 1:7..just down from your verse...ISRAEL (the ten tribes)..won't recieve mercy..But JUDAH will..

Hosea was a Prophet to the 10 northern tribes known as Israel..He was not a Prophet sent to Judah..!

Judah = Jews....not Israel..

See where you went off track now Joe..??  You applied a verse meant for ISRAEL..and applied it to JUDAH (JEWS)..( who reside in present day land of Israel (the country or state)..

You are aware there are 2 houses..one called H O Israel..and the other called H O Judah..

For example Joe....King David didn't rule BOTH kingdoms at the same time all the time..David ruled from HEBRON over the Kindom of JUDAH..for over 7 years before the tribes UNITED and then he ruled them ALL from Jerusalem..

PLUS the Kingdom SPLIT again  after Solomon died..! See 2 KINGS 8:25 for one example..2 kingdoms..with diffeent prophesy sometimes meant for one or the other or BOTH..!

Please see 2 SAM 5:1:5 for the Biblical reference..of David rule..!

JUDAH and ISRAEL are not "synonyms" Joe..(words that mean the same thing)..!

So remember ALL Jews are Hebrews..but NOT all Hebrews are Jews..

God always looked on Judah and Isarel as being seperate..Many like yourself confuse the 2 and melt them into meaning 1...then misapply scripture meant for one or the other..

Also in Hosea 2:23...those folks RETURN to the Lord ..so even IF you think I'm wrong...RE read that verse and see they return which makes your post a mute point...either way you slice it...!

I hope that clears up te error for you Joe..

No error. The 10 tribes went off to Afghanistan while Judah and Benjamin went to Europe and from there all over the planet. Ezekiel 34 -40 tells the story of Israel rejected, all tribes. God never split Israel. That was a man-made divison that God never approved of.

I am really disapointed in the unthinking, knee-jerk, stock answers. The fact of the matter is this:

Yes, God gave Israel a huge plot of land and then kicked them out of it.

Israel was given the land by God, but they had to fight for every inch of that land, could not look towards the US for help and instead had to trust GOD, not Washington D.C.

I am really disapointed that most Christians display a greater faith in Washington protecting Israel and not God!

That is crucial, because the very obvious fact is that Israel will go to Armageddon alone.

This is the point all American Christians seem to be missing.

We have no business interfering with God's plan for God's people. I see no mandate in the Bible to protect Israel.

Blessing Israel does not mean we have to side with unbelievers.

The fact is that as long as we interfere we will get a bloody nose, no satisfaction and God will be prevented from working His plan for His people.

Christians ought to think about playing God and the evils of that.

As long as Israel can look towards Washington, they will not look up!

Christians act like they think without the US Israel is doomed. Hello?

You are disappointed?

Is this your idea of a thinking, Biblical answer?
