I mean they will literally sting and look literally as it says. This is during the tribulation and who knows what kind of wonders will appear to get mans attention. I think God will go to any length to save all he can. Just my spin. Like in Ezekiel he had him act it all out as well as say it. Seemed pretty strange to people but it made them stop and listen and look. Sometimes I wonder if we complicate all of this a bit much. Dan 8:24] And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practice, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. __________________ Do you remember who it was that gave the king of Babylon his power? How does he destroy the mighty and holy people? Here's a partial quote from verse 25 in the Living Bible: __________________ Dan 8:25 "He will be a master of deception, defeating many by catching them off guard as they bask in false security..." __________________ The false security is believing that he is Jesus when in fact he is the other Jesus, the AntiJesus.. The next verse tells us how the Antichrist destroys many: __________________ [25] And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. __________________ Craft means deceit, which he shall cause to prosper in his hand. And many will help him prosper with their hands, which is what having the "mark in their right hand" means... doing the work of Satan. He shall destroy many by PEACE! The "little horn", the "king of fierce countenance", the "king of Babylon", the "Antichrist" (all the same entity, Satan), enters in PEACEFULLY and PROSPEROUSLY. He not going to go around killing people. He's much smarter than that. He's going to convince the world he's Jesus. And remember, the war that we are to prepare for by putting on the gospel armor (Eph 6) is spiritual not physical. Furthermore, there will be no nuclear holocaust as some "doomsday" preachers predict. The final events will happen exactly as they are written in Ezekiel 38 and 39. So we are in for good times, peace and prosperity, brought to you by the New World Order under the leadership of the "slickest" of them all, the instead-of-Jesus, Satan himself.
