I have a co-worker who is Jewish. She is considered a Conservative Jew. She said that she doesn't believe in hell and that the Torah is her bible. The other parts of the Old Testament do not play a part in her beliefs. She believes when we die our spirit is turned to energy and released in the cosmos.

HELP!!! I want to witness to her and show her the way to Jesus. I need some guidance and more insight into her beleifs. Can anyone help me?

Thank you in advance,

That sounds to me more like New Age thinking than conservative judaism. Neb is right about Shilo having a lot of insight into the teachings of Jewish groups. If he doesn't find the thread in a day or so and answer your questions just PM him. He's helped me out with some things in the past.

Tell she: observe worldwide, and you will find the heaven and the hell just on THIS PLANT

And to consider the history of her own nation, she will find the hell and the heaven just on THIS PLANT

I've been told that the original Jewish teaching (before the Babylonian exile) was that everyone goes into the Sheol when we die, and when there we are not conscious of anything, similar to what atheists believe today. But yes, such thinking is not orthodox by today's standard.

All the saved through righteousness who were in Sheol were resurrected with Christ after the Crucifixion. All others are in a place of uncomfortable torture waiting for the Judgment Day.

All of the Jews I've been involved with lately are Liberal Jews.

And none of them believe in the Hebrew Scriptures at all (as far as I can tell).

NONE of them have any idea why God did not protect His chosen people from the Holocaust.

Even when I point out the Scriptures which explain this, they absolutely refuse to believe.

Some years ago, I worked for a Jewish economist for a week in his home.

He had PhD's in Economics from 6 countries.

He had letters on his wall from Presidents Carter and Reagan.

He was voted the most knowledgeable Jewish scholar in America.

He had absolutely NO any idea why God did not protect the Jews from the Holocaust.

Most that I have talked to believe it was because they turned they faces, hearts and minds away from God and He promised to turn away from them and remove His blessings.
