Yes. Yes they are. Then NEA, the teachers' union, is teaching our children revisionist history, leaving out of the book any notion of how this country is formed, who and for what reasons we have fought wars, anything that keeps our children from being and thinking moral. And we all know what the MSM is doing, how and what they are reporting, how they are influencing the next generation towards socialism.

Acronyms conspiring to undermine the United States, very scary!

Personally I wish I could have more faith in your pessimism as, sadly, I see no chance of Socialism triumphing in the USA in the near future.

No, the people BEHIND the acronyms conspiring to undermine the United States. I suggest you read NEA: Trojan Horse in American Education by Samuel Blumenfeld.

As for your seeing no chance of socialism triumphing in the USA in the near future, I suggest you see an optometrist. What do you think Obamacare is? S O C I A L I S M. People clamoring for the government to provide jobs? S O C I A L I S M. Government entities banning this food or that? S O C I A L I S M. Government taking over the automoblie industry? S O C I A L I S M. UH helllooooooo.

We've had socialism since the 30s. "Social security" (ha, even the name social is in there) is socialism. Medicare, medicaid, welfare, food stamps, even college pell grants, all socialism. Socialism and communism are both means for redistribution of wealth, meaning you take money, property, food, what have you, away from one group of people and pass it over to another who has less. The systems differ politically, though not that much, and the base premise is certainly the same for both. Right now there are already 98 million people in this country who have their healthcare completely or partially paid for by the government (as of 2009, probably over 100 million with baby boomer retirements). Well over 2 trillion dolllars this year on entitlements. The entire operating budget of the federal government, right now, if the government eliminated everything but entitlements and social discretionary spending (fancy word for social program) would still not be covered with tax receipts, not to mention the other 1.2 to 1.3+ trillion dollars that are spent on defense, education, etc. The age of socialism in this country has been here and entrenched for quite a while, but it's simply manifested in programs the people are completely used to.

I'd like to know what the Federal Reserve is gonna say about the missing 9 trillion. They were called on the carpet about it today.

The fed will recoup a significant amount of that money from banks, and already has from the larger ones, bank of america, etc. Basically in my view the fed used to be the main problem and still is a problem. At this point though, personally, I believe the fed to be more likely to protect the currency than the government, mainly due to the fact that a lot of the people who run it or are influential have personal stakes in currency stability. Basically in a nutshell the only thing economically that I fear more than bad federal reserve policy is a congressional takeover of it, where you would have politicians printing potentially tens of trillions of dollars to get themselves reelected.

(This statement is from a purely pragmatic point of view, i.e. this is the situation we are in and we don't really have any other options at this point. Ideally there would be a precious metal standard and consistently static currency, but the likelihood of that occurring in any of our lifetimes in my view is incredibly low, so I pretty much don't even include it in what if scenarios anymore).

When I see Bernard Bernard Sanders trouncing Obama and Palin and being innaugarated as the next President, I might start to believe that the USA is moving in the right (which for me clearly means the Left) direction!

No matter who they elect next I might have to become an anarchist over it! :) Everyone in office (with only a couple exceptions) at every level of government is morally and ethically questionable at best. With people like that 'leading' us, It's amazing we are still any kind of Republic. And on the original topic, yes, we are a republic. That was the intent of the founding fathers all along. In a democracy everyone votes on everything, which is just not reasonable for any country, especially one this size. I have to say though...... America in places is starting to remind me of history lessons on ancient Rome. We need a 'decadence meter' posted somewhere prominent just so people know how far this nation has fallen.

I still love America BTW!! Just sayin' we gotta' lot o' shapin' up to do.

I have edited this to state that my tone may seem imflammatory and pessimistic, but I really do remain hopeful. It's hard to know that so many people in such a wonderful country are embracing values that will lead them, and others, to sorrow and separation from God.

I don't read inflammatory or pessimistic; just realistic. I love this country too and I will never give up on it unless.....well, I won't go there but I don't think the U.S. is beyond repair. And not even CLOSE to the worst place on earth to live. We all just have to keep the faith and stand our ground against those who want European style socialism.

    • You are coming up higher in this season – above the assignments of character assassination and verbal arrows sent to manage you, contain you, and derail your purpose. Where you have had your dreams and sleep robbed, as well as your peace and clarity robbed – leaving you feeling foggy, confused, and heavy – God is, right now, bringing freedom back -- now you will clearly see the smoke and mirrors that were set to distract you and you will disengage.

Right now God is declaring a "no access zone" around you, and your enemies will no longer have any entry point into your life. Oil is being poured over you to restore the years that the locust ate and give you back your passion. This is where you will feel a fresh roar begin to erupt from your inner being, and a call to leave the trenches behind and begin your odyssey in your Christ calling moving you to bear fruit that remains as you minister to and disciple others into their Christ identity.

This is where you leave the trenches and scale the mountain to fight from a different place, from victory, from peace, and from rest. Now watch as God leads you up higher above all the noise, above all the chaos, and shows you where you have been seated all along with Him in heavenly places where you are UNTOUCHABLE. This is where you leave the soul fight, and the mind battle, and learn to fight differently.

You will know how to live like an eagle and lead others to the same place of safety and protection that God led you to, which broke you out of the silent prison you were in. Put your war boots on and get ready to fight back! Refuse to lay down -- get out of bed and rebuke what is coming at you. Remember where you are seated and live from that place.

Acts 1:8 - “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses … to the end of the earth.”

    • Understanding the Enemy!

I thought I write about the flip side of a topic, and how to recognize the attempts of the enemy to destroy lives and how you can walk in His victory!

For the Apostle Paul taught us not to be ignorant of enemy's tactics and strategies.

2 Corinthians 2:112  Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.

So often, we can learn lessons by learning and playing "devil's" advocate.  When we read this passage,

Mar 3:26  And if Satan rise up against himself, and be divided, he cannot stand, but hath an end.
Mar 3:27  No man can enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strongman; and then he will spoil his house.

Here we learn a lesson that in order to plunder one's house you must first BIND up the strongman.  While we realize in this particular passage this is referring to God binding up the strongman (Satan) and this is how Satan's house is plundered.  But if you carefully analyze the enemy -- you realize that he uses the same tactics on us!  Your house cannot be plundered -- unless you are first bound.   And then Satan can plunder your house!

    • Abraham and Issac: Pictures of the Resurrection, Part 2
      Shalom everyone,

As we continue this series the next obvious sign of the resurrection in the Old Testament is the sign of Isaac and Abraham.

Gen 22:1  After these things God tested Abraham and said to him, "Abraham!" And he said, "Here I am."
Gen 22:2  He said, "Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I shall tell you."

So God "tests" Abraham and as a perfect picture of the coming sacrifice of God's only begotten Son (Yeshua - Jesus) God instructs Issac to go and sacrifice his son, Issac.  Where does he say to offer him?  On Moriah -- the exact location of the Temple Mount.
