About The Power Of Jesus

Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. Genesis 2:1-3

Yes to both... death physically began in the garden the moment He ate.

Spiritual death was immediate as darkness has no fellowship with Light... Love, Steven

Gen 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

So, the day that he ate of the tree, did he die spiritually or physically? This verse does not seem to indicate the beginning of death, but of death.

It fits perfectly with spiritual death, one has to add to it to fit in physical death

Genesis 3:22

New International Version (NIV)

22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”
