I've had many regrets in my short time on this planet. These are the things I would tell myself if I could go back. 1. Save yourself for marriage. 2. Stop wasting your time on frivolous things, and spend more time with your loved ones. 3. Read the Bible every day without fail. 4. Get serious about your education. 5. It isn't always about you. 6. Stop the gossiping. 7. Don't create a god in your mind to suit your sins. 8. Other people have feelings too. They don't exist to be used by you. 9. If you really believed what you say you believe, you wouldn't worry so much. 10. Don't take love for granted. All I can say is; Thank-you God, for not giving up on me!

Respect them. Treat them with respect. Listen to them. Obey them. They're not trying to keep you from anything that's good for you. You will have plenty of time later in your life to do things your way. For now, do it their way, and be grateful they're footing the bill. Help them out around the house as much as you can, especially with the cooking and cleaning. If not, you're going to have a hard time learning to cook from cookbooks and Food Network, and learning to clean from your mother-in-law. Your dad's gonna die when you're twenty so make the time you have with him count. It's gonna be terrible to look back and only have memories of being a brat to him, so don't be like that. I would probably tell myself also to try and make the most of my other family relationships too, but Mom and Dad are the Big Two.

The friends you will make at school will lead you down the wrong path and eventually get you into drugs and crime. Spend more time on your relationship with the Lord, and family, and your studies....make friends at church. They'll be more like-minded anyway. Save yourself for marriage. This would definately be one for me too, but I would have different things to say at different ages. In my early teens, I would tell myself it's way too soon to be thinking about boyfriends. You can like boys and think they're cute without it going any further than that. Enjoy being able to do that at this age. It won't always be proper for you to do this. Above all, guard your heart. Jesus is the true love of your life, always. In my older teens, I would repeat, guard your heart, even more fiercely now. Song of Solomon says, do not awaken love before its time. Serve God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength, and when He is ready, when He knows you are ready and your husband is ready, He will bring you alongside each other. I would also include something I didn't know until after I blew it. Physical intimacy before the marriage will make you have to work twice as hard for emototional intimacy after the marriage. God's way is always, always, always better, and sometimes you don't know what or how bad the consequences of sin will be until it's too late, and that goes for every area of your life, not just this one. That's just what I'd say to myself.
