What I believe the Christian view on these is:

If the law says we pay taxes, we abide by the law, if we don't like the taxes, we pay the taxes and advocate/petition to change the law.

Guns: The law says we may posess and use them for sustenance or self defense. So, Christian view is, it's the law, abide by it.

Cheers! :mgcheerful:

What does scripture say?

Psa 82:3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Psa 82:4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid [them] out of the hand of the wicked.

Mat 17:27 "But so that we may not offend them, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours."

I opened this topic to have an honest discussion about this subject. I did it for someone that is no longer active at Worthy, so I will close the topic as there's been no discussion over it, and the main reason for it's opening is no longer around.
