Guest man
Man, do you recall the bronze serpent Moses made? The Israelites were to look at the fashioned image of a creature in order to be healed. Yet, this fashioned in bronze image of a serpent was not considered a graven image, an idol, until people began sacrificing to it. God instructed Moses to make that serpent. We can go to the bible and read about it. Where in the bible can we read about God instructing someone to make a statue/image of a man?
Guest man
When God states that "He is God and that Thou shalt have no other Gods before Him." He doesn't mean little wooden man fashioned worthless tokens that pagans worship. Exodus 20 23 You shall not make anything to be with Me—gods of silver or gods of gold you shall not make for yourselves. Exodus 34 17 “You shall make no molded gods for yourselves. Leviticus 19 4 ‘Do not turn to idols, nor make for yourselves molded gods: I am the Lord your God. Leviticus 26 1 ‘You shall not make idols for yourselves; neither a carved image nor a sacred pillar shall you rear up for yourselves; nor shall you set up an engraved stone in your land, to bow down to it; for I am the Lord your God. I think we know the answer. Man, if such things offend you, then by all means, follow your heart. Will you extend similar grace to those of us who believe otherwise? I've asked this many times in various threads of this nature...."Where does the bible make allowances for these images?"

I'm asking an honest question. It represents the fact that we follow Christ in our home. It does not represent the Person of Christ. If that representation does not represent the person of Christ, who does it represent? It's made in the form of a man and you call it Jesus. Donkey's back in the pit! Hee Haw, (that's Lol in donkey...), there has to be a preach to be got out of this donkey in the pit thing.... Psalm 115 3 But our God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. 4 Their idols are silver and gold, The work of men’s hands. 5 They have mouths, but they do not speak; Eyes they have, but they do not see; 6 They have ears, but they do not hear; Noses they have, but they do not smell; 7 They have hands, but they do not handle; Feet they have, but they do not walk; Nor do they mutter through their throat. 8 Those who make them are like them; So is everyone who trusts in them. Yes, I was thinking of the exact same scripture. However, you've quoted it without context and without reagrd to the fact that God was rebuking them for worshipping these powerless gods when they should have been worshipping Him. It's not the Idol or the Image that's the problem. It's the fact that the Donkey remains in the ditch.

The problem begins in ones heart otherwise the despicable thing in your hands wouldn't be there.
