I read an article last fall in which it discussed the day of the dead, a mexican holiday on november 1 in which the families spruce up cemeteries and have altars for dead relatives. The article discussed how many families refused to set up altars for their missing relatives even tho the govt was sure those victims were dead. The cartels kidnap folks and force them into slave labor which ends in mass graves that are periodically found. This is not something you will see much of in the media. The cartels have threatened the mexican media enough that they wont report this stuff and the pro illegal media in the us wont report it much either. But you can find this news if you look for it. In truth I suspect this number is too low. In the last few years, over 60,000 people have been murdered in mexico, and according to this article over 26,000 are missing. There are genocides of native peoples in mexico. There is civil war going on. When is the world going to take notice of this?

But I also know that they flood over our borders like water. I suspect that there are several "missing" that simply ran. With that being said, Im sure that number is low-I would suspect the 60,000 murdered is probably only a estimate, and a low one at that.
