Matthew 18:10"Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.

​To me this means that we are not to despise child like believers because they are honored in heaven. whats your understanding on this verse?

Matthew, Mark and Luke describe the same incident. People were bringing their little children to Jesus to have him touch and bless them but the disciples tried to stop them and Jesus rebukes them. So given the specific context I believe Jesus is actually referencing children; instead of child like believers. In comparing adults to children, Jesus states that believers are to possess child like faith. Also introduces the idea of guardian angels though I can't recall ever seeing mine! Compare Acts 12:15.
