I am rather torn on this issue...but in the end I dont see how we justify tobacco and alcohol being legal and pot not.

I saw on the news today at work that their was 58% of the population(not jailers) that favored legalizing the weed.

I've never used the stuff, but I must say that a lot of my college friends did and have for years.  It seems to have had much less harm than alcohol to those who overuse either.

I read somewhere this weekend that some country was going to start selling it for $1 an ounce..  that would take it out of the drug dealers hands also.

 

can't say that i think pot is good for anyone, but destroying lives from simple possession is just tragic.

I don't think it does.

 

I personally believe it should legalized across the board. As nice as "medical marijuana" sounds, many of those weed clinics are run by criminals.

Medical marijuana is a scam to eventually legalize recreational marijuana. It violates every standard regarding medicine.

It should just be made legal recreationally. I agree with JDavis here. Let people make their own consumption choices and reduce the burden on law enforcement.
