Lonely? Wanting friends? Or is this all just a hobby? I know its sad, but those are all reasons I've gotten online before. 1. I was lonely and wanted someone to talk to. 2. I was just having fun and fooling around around. All I can say is that when you are feeling very much alone in the world, you start a topic and no one replies to it. It further makes me feel even more alone. Loneliness is a horrible feeling. Edited January 22, 2014 by OneLight

Fellowship; yep, that's it! And don't worry about your threads where no one replies.....it happens to ALL of us here and there.

I was just having fun and fooling around around. All I can say is that it sucks when you are feeling very much alone in the world, you start a topic and no one replies to it. It further makes me feel even more alone. Loneliness is a horrible feeling, and it sucks. Goodness, I get on line for a multitude of reasons. the computer is a tool to me to accomplish many things. Keeping up with family and friends. Research into various subjects, and to be available for people when they need things...... and even to be last. I came here to pray for some folks and enjoyed it so I stay even though those folks don't need the prayers like they did...... occasionally people come by that are having trouble with the dark side spiritually and I can help....... sometimes. I also do banking and investments on line. I spent many many years working on them for a living... Like I said i's simply a tool.

I'm busy, pretty much all the time, and these things save me a lot of time. Case in point; two weeks ago I was here at work, swamped as usual, and still managed to renew my driver's license....online. I'm also able to keep up with a very big family without staying on the phone all day. I don't think online activities should replace people and real life pursuits though. Moderation is the key. Gaming is a way for me to wind down after a stressful day. And besides, there aren't many places around my home that would allow me to drive a WWII tank!
