Was the Reformation of man or was it of God ?

[Reformation] A religious movement of the 16th century that began as an attempt

to reform the Roman Catholic Church and resulted in the creation of Protestant churches.

Is it over ?

It is not over. The Church is leaving the buildings and moving into home groups, as it was in the beginning. It is moving from a group/corporate relationship with Christ to an individual/personal relationship with Him.

Paul did talked about a falling away of the church before Jesus comes back. 2Thess.2

So does that mean there would be a reformation or restoration of the church ?

Just picking a few changes. See at 1400 Franciscus, with a strong lokal move, than soon growing internationaly also.

1517 Luther's NT, a fearly new print technique was involved. again a strong lokal move was growing and growing with international influence also. Leaders were concerned to read, understand  and do all things with following their bible.

Since 1900 - especially Wales was deeply changed. This strong lokal move had many friuts internationaly also. Fast growing pentacostal churches started their.

Yes, and a lot of great moves were in the mean time. Some very good developments change our churches today, as @Parker shows us. In all times people involved were on fire. And theirs is the move of God. What these people lived on day to day bases was often healthy christian faith and that had changed their communities also.

Yes you can find the hand of God in this. And than getting into details and insprecting the historic developments - we also find all other roots and causes that are not of HIM.

Any movement that takes men back to the Bible and back to the true Gospel must be from God.

At the same time the Reformers did many things which were not godly, showing thereby that they still had their flaws. The Reformed churches have generally succumbed to theological liberalism over the last 200 years.

Revelation 2 & 3's letters were messages to 7 churches of John's time, but they have also long been recognized to have prophetic significance. That is, they portray 7 churches that arise consecutively from the first century to the Latter Days.

The 5th church, Sardis, is generally recognized as representing the churches that were founded during the Reformation: their character and their challenges both good and ill. With that in mind --

Rev. 3:1 “And to the angel of the church in Sardis write, ‘These things says He who has the seven Spirits of God and the seven stars: “I know your works, that you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.

2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God.

3 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

4 “You have a few names even in Sardis who have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white, for they are worthy.

Seems a pretty accurate synopsis of the Reformation churches to me.

When God speaks his word accomplishes his mission.

Do you have any reason to believe God commanded the reformation?

Well God does rule in the kingdom of men, so I think he had a part in breaking up of the one world order

of the Catholic dominance of a Christian church during the dark ages.

So if Paul is talking about the church to fall away, we know that is not forever, so the must be a restoration sometime.

James 5:7 says there is an early and latter rain harvest, so the early church was the early rain, latter rain is here in our day before Jesus's return.

So was there a gap in between .
