GOD SAYS......

(Romans 5:12) "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:"

(Genesis 3:17-18) "And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;"

The "CURSE" wasn't just for Man...."cursed is the ground".  Did you know there are Fossilized Thorns in with all the other DEAD Things? (See: below)

GOD Says...."Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth".   As in..... NOW it will; Meaning, it wasn't there before Sin!!

QUESTION:   Why would God "curse" the earth with thorns and thistles if they were already there?

(Isaiah 65:20-25) "There shall be no more thence an infant of days, nor an old man that hath not filled his days: for the child shall die an hundred years old; but the sinner being an hundred years old shall be accursed.  {21} And they shall build houses, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and eat the fruit of them.  {22} They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree are the days of my people, and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands.  {23} They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.  {24} And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.  {25} The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the bullock: and dust shall be the serpent's meat. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain, saith the LORD."

Credit to Shiloh for this statement.....

"You will notice that it is not just the human condition that undergoes a change when sin is removed. All of creation was effected.  It, therefore, follows that when sin came into the physical world via Adam's disobedience, there was a change in all of creation."

What do we find.....

Thorns are found in the Fossil Strata Layers along side the other DEAD THINGS!!  Along with Tumors in some of those Dead Things!!

SO.........If Death, Disease,Thorns, (the Clear result of SIN) was before Adam Sinned, why the need for a KINSMEN REDEEMER?

(1 Corinthians 15:26-27) "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.  {27} For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted which did put all things under him."

(1 Corinthians 15:55) "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?"

Secular Science Says: "Primitive" Life arose around 3.5 Billion Years Ago and Death and Disease have been going on continuously for Millions and Millions of Years....AGES Before Man arrived, with the Testimony written in The Fossil Record.

GOD SAYS:  That Adam's Sin brought Death/Disease and Thorns into this World.

Both Can't Be Right!!

What say you?

they could both be wrong....

God says that they brought death to this world.......

Was he speaking of the time after Adam.....

We have no record of what existed prior to the creation story of the construction of planet earth as it is today....     God as we know them have existed for time not measured prior to that and we know absolutely nothing about any of that.

Also according to studies, there are at least 11 dimensions to what we call the universe, and we know so little about those outside where we live that there is no way to know how any interference in the past might effect what we know as time...     can things be transitioned between dimensions by the entities that exist there and returned in the wrong time periods.

Did the watchers cross breed species as is recorded in Jasher and Jubilees and different histories of past civilizations...    what would that do to our conception of genetic changes we have seen in things...

The possibilities are many, but real answers are few.    There is probably good reason why God didn't want us to know a lot about the pre-flood history details until this time period...

As it was in the days of Noah.....    so it will be in the end....       what are we starting to do in genetic research.....    crossing species...       There is nothing new under the sun..

How can God's word be wrong?

by not really understanding what is being said....   which I'm sure you think you're incapable of

There is a lot there, so lets break it down to bite size bits...

Thorns...

The verses you posted...

I think the two words in red are the key to understanding the verse correctly.  Remember, Adam and Eve lived a charmed life in a garden that was planted by God specifically for them.  It was set apart from the rest of creation.  Notice the thorns are not being brought forth, they are being brought forth TO THEE, which would imply they were already present on the earth, they were now being brought to man and man would have to deal with them..  Adam and Eve didn't have to worry about thorns in the Garden, now they do.

Interesting...  So when the Bible says something you are not prepared to accept, the next step is to muddy waters?  You don't like what it says, but you can't provide a solid reason for not believing it, so just pretend that simple, plain language of the text is just beyond anyone's ability to understand.  That way you don't have to be accountable for it.

Do you really think God will accept that kind of weak excuse??

No, it wouldn't mean that they were already present.   God first pronounced the ground as cursed.  The thorns and thistles are the result of that curse.  It makes no sense to curse the ground with thorns and thistles if they were already there.

In fact, from an OEC model perspective, thorns and thistles should have already been something Adam and Eve would have contended with.  Thorns and thistles would have been part of their regular experience as would death, decay, disease and sickness.   In the OEC model, these things were always present.
