I had once heard a few different people explain this bible scripture, but I would like more opinions.

2 Corinthians 2:14-15

"But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him. For we are to God the aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing."

I come up with an understanding of this scripture is...

Fragrance meaning people are thankful to God.

It is like how Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, people around him with despair, desperation, crying and moaning. Jesus first words were, "thank you Lord". With Thankfulness is like a Fire that consumes all the bitterness and leaves a sweet aroma of grace, we draw attention and blessings from God.
