DEFEATED ENEMIES

By Corrie ten Boom

Having faced fights not "against people made of flesh and blood, but against persons without bodies – the evil rulers of the unseen world" (Eph. 6:12 Living NT), in prisons during the war, and later when travelling over the world; and having met so many people – even dear servants of the Lord – who, though surrounded by the powers of darkness, the devil and the demons, do not recognize them, and do not know how to deal with them, I decided, at the request of a missionary friend, to write down what I have learned, as a help for other children of God.

Someone asked my opinion of the missionaries in a certain country. My answer was, "They have given all, but they have not taken all. They have given homeland, time, money, luxury, and more, but they have not taken all the riches abundant that the Word gives us from the boundless resources of God’s promises. Many do not know about two precious weapons: the power of the cross and blood of Jesus and every Christian’s legal right of the use of the wonderful Name of Jesus.''

Mrs Penn-Lewis wrote, "… when the existence of evil spirits is recognized by the heathen, it is generally looked upon by the missionary as "superstition" and ignorance; whereas the ignorance is often on the part of the missionary, who is blinded by the prince of the power of the air to the revelation given in the Scriptures, concerning the satanic powers."

We need to recognize the enemy, in order to overcome him. But let us beware of the mistakes that C. S. Lewis describes in The Screwtape Letters. He says: "There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence, the other is to believe and to feel an unhealthy interest in them! They themselves are equally pleased by both errors, and they hail a materialistic or a magician with the same delight.

Yes. Demons operate by the power of agreement. If we come into agreement with their lie, then they begin to have power and authority over us. The truth sets free, and any lie puts us in bondage to it. The greater the lie, the greater the bondage and its effect upon our life. It is so important to submit yourself to the Spirit constantly, asking Him to reveal any falsehood, anywhere we have come into agreement with a demonic lie.

Blessings and Victory!

Blessings nebula,dear Sister!

The enemies greatest feat is to have tricked many into not believing in their existence, even so many Christians choose to not give any attention to the recognition of demons, proclaiming''lets not give the enemy any credit"....they believe that by ignoring their presence or powers this will somehow lessen their effect, which of course, makes them even more effective in their attempts to deceive from within.......to do nothing,is actually assisting the enemy.....the Word of God tells us,"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"

The Word of God tells us all we need to know about the enemy & that we should take captive every thought,to try the spirits,to put on Gods full Armor,to use the Sword of the Spirit,to resist the devil, that we wrestle not against flesh & blood, our sinful nature & anything else we should know about their lies, deceit & tactics that will try  to seek, kill & destroy and our Loving God gives us His Son,our Strongtower.....we have His Blood ,His Authority & His Power & the Name that is above every other name"Jesus Christ"....Who is GREATER than he who is in the world.......

Good Word,Sis.......every Christian needs look no further than the Word of God to be an effective spiritual warrior!Glory to God,Praise Jesus!

                                                                                                                      With love-in Christ,Kwik
