I find it so mildly amusing...Obama proposes raising taxes on the wealthy, he's A. Socialist B. Communist C. Marxist D. All of them...Reagan proposes raising taxes on the wealthy...silence. He's giving away all our money...where is that? Oh yes, Obama the king...well here is a clue we have a "do nothing congress" (actually record breaking) and if one will take the time they will find that the President does not have all authority. (Probably why congress approval ratings are at ground level) So yes, the President is like the quarterback in football praised when he wins blamed when he loses...forget about the other players on the team. I would suggest that instead of taking "stories" at face value one checks with more reliable sources. Newsbusters ...next they will tell us that Bat Boy is an Obama agent, and the fox news will do endless follow-ups!

Certainly there are occasions when the truth is offensive. Check your facts...oh, right it is all the "democratic" senate fault, the house has been working very hard to move this country forward...well, in any direction. As I mentioned the truth can be offensive. As to the OP and the false story regarding Obama and the internet: http://mediamatters.org/research/2014/03/15/fox-news-falsely-claims-obama-is-giving-the-int/198502 When you have the time look up "cloture" it would be worth a look. Reagan proposed to increase taxes on the wealthy...note this is actually Ronald Reagan. Note again the reference to Alan Simpson...a republican. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/03/14/1194062/-10-reasons-why-Ronald-Reagan-would-be-persona-non-grata-at-CPAC-2013#two I think that I will take the word of the Treasury Official under Reagan. “Noah quotes former White House and Treasury official Bruce Bartlett, who served under Reagan and wrote a paper last year on "Reagan's Forgotten Tax Record," demonstrating beyond any doubt that the GOP icon raised taxes at least 10 times during his two terms as president and also during his governorship of California. In that paper, Bartlett destroys the mythology of Reagan, which has been made concrete by the right-wing activist and lobbyist Grover Norquist with the "anti-tax" pledge signed by most Republican politicians.” http://news.yahoo.com/did-reagan-raise-taxes-let-gop-candidates-answer-080000521.html;_ylt=A0LEV7pPryhTCgoAgLwPxQt.;_ylu=X3oDMTByZDBpbXI5BHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDNQRjb2xvA2JmMQR2dGlkAw Edited March 19, 2014 by OneLight removed Youtube link - videos are to be in the video forum only. That story, did indeed say the internet, was given to a world company. They try to say it wasn't Obama, that it was something that was invisioned from the start. Now, that part maybe true-that may have been something that was invisioned from before Obama, but it doesnt mean Obama didn't push for it, and it is still giving the internet away. a rose by any other name is still a rose. And, if Fox news was accurate-of course the rest of the media is going to call fox news a liar. Fox news is fairly liberal and has a twist to it, but they seem to be the only major news outlet that isnt controlled by the government and has the backbone to tell them to back off, so yes everyone is going to call them a liar. I think Im going to stand with fox news on this one-they are giving the internet away, and Obama had at the very least a big say in the timing of it. I'm British, we don't get Fox News. I don't trust 'Liberal' news coverage though. That's just me.
