My thoughts are that we should have the freedom to make this choice.  Hospitals and governments have no authority over family matters.  They are trying to intrude on these things, but it is not their place to do so.  IMHO

Even worse is the pressure on families to remove food and water from the living due to making judgements about their quality of life. This is also being pushed by the government and is practiced in nursing homes and hospitals alike.
