It seems to me that there used to be this "Palestinian Mandate," run by the British. Like India with its Muslims and Hindus (at each others' throats), this "Mandate" had Jewish and Muslim (Palestinians) persons living in it. Israel is a postage stamp nation today, but the Palestinian Mandate was more than twice as big as Israel today, extending on the East side of Jordan way out. So, as the British divided India into Pakistan and India (Moslem and Hindu), this Mandate was divided creating Jordan on the East side of the Jordan with also territory reaching into Jerusalem on the West side of Jordan. Jordan, just taking the territory on the East side, got the big half of the pie. So there was this 2 state solution, what with the Palestinians getting the big half. Jordan is a Palestinian nation.

Of course that is not good enough for the Moslems, who want a second Palestinian state carved our of Israel's small half. Now should they get it, what would you expect? Will they be content with a 3-state solution? Or will they again agitate for a half of the half of the half? Then a half of the half of the half of the half. Then a half of the . . . .? Where will it all stop?

Brotherhood

Thou shalt not abhor an Edomite; for he is thy brother: thou shalt not abhor an Egyptian; because thou wast a stranger in his land. Deuteronomy 23:7

And Violence

If thieves came to thee, if robbers by night, (how art thou cut off!) would they not have stolen till they had enough? if the grapegatherers came to thee, would they not leave some grapes? How are the things of Esau searched out! how are his hidden things sought up!

All the men of thy confederacy have brought thee even to the border: the men that were at peace with thee have deceived thee, and prevailed against thee; they that eat thy bread have laid a wound under thee: there is none understanding in him.

Shall I not in that day, saith the LORD, even destroy the wise men out of Edom, and understanding out of the mount of Esau?

And thy mighty men, O Teman, shall be dismayed, to the end that every one of the mount of Esau may be cut off by slaughter. For thy violence against thy brother Jacob shame shall cover thee, and thou shalt be cut off for ever.

In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.

But thou shouldest not have looked on the day of thy brother in the day that he became a stranger; neither shouldest thou have rejoiced over the children of Judah in the day of their destruction; neither shouldest thou have spoken proudly in the day of distress.

Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity;

Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.

For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head. Obadiah 1:5-15

Still

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

There Is

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Hope

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life. John 5:24

The problem is, the Muslims will not be happy until there is no Jewish state. It doesn't matter whether you have a one, two or three state solution - the Muslims want the whole of the Middle East (and eventually the World) to be Islamic. They will settle for nothing less.

They particularly covet Jerusalem. Why? Because their false prophet Mohammed told them so. Mohammed was supposedly told by Allah (during a night dream or journey) that Jerusalem was his. Of course, this dream was either a fabrication or a satanic illusion.

It was most likely a fabrication because Mohammed described the Jewish temple to his followers (which he referred to as the great mosque) as proof that he had been to Jerusalem and seen it. Of course there was no temple and Mohammed was a liar because the temple had been destroyed hundreds of years earlier by the Romans, but because the Muslims had never been to Jerusalem either, they didn't know that.

A few decades after Mohammed's death the Muslims conquered Jerusalem and built their own mosque on the Temple Mount. They lost complete control of Jerusalem under the British Mandate of Palestine, gained it back for a while after the First Arab-Israeli war then lost it again to Israel in 1967.

Now the Israelis have Jerusalem for keeps, but due to international pressure are forced to retain the city as a multi-faith centre with Muslims having access to their mosque on the Temple Mount.

Jerusalem is important because it is the city that God gave to the Jews, a city that Satan has always coveted, a city that Muslims want because they are unwittingly carrying out the work of Satan.

There will never be peace in the Middle-East until the Tribulation and even then it will be a false peace.

In the Hadiths. Jerusalem is not mentioned even once in the Qu'ran.
