Guest HisG
Islam is a religion and not a culture and there are many branches of Islam and many cultures which have been influenced by Islam.Um, there is a term currently being used - "cultural Christian". Cultural Christian: Web definitions A cultural Christian is a secular or nonreligious individual who still significantly identifies with Christian culture due to family background, personal experiences, or the social and cultural environment in which they grew up. ...http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cultural_Christian In Australia and I'm guessing most Western countries, Christianity is entwined with the culture of the place. If you reside in this country, you will get days off from work to celebrate Easter and Christmas. You don't have to be a practising Christian to participate in the celebrations - it's just part of Australian culture. And the foundations of Western law - the OT fingerprints all over it.
