But if by Palestine you mean Gaza and the West Bank then these territories belong to Israel too.

The Phillistines, as a people, have ceased to exist over 2000 years ago. When Rome had control of the land, then called Judea, the named the land Palestine, more as a snub to the children of Israel. In scripture the entire land given to the children of Israel was called the land of Israel When England had control over the land, they used the old Roman name, Palestine. I came across an interesting little snippet. The Jewish people while scattered and living in other countries, refer to themselves as 'American Jews', English Jews, Russian Jews, Polish Jews, designating the country they are living in, so under English rule of Palestine, the Jews called themselves Palestinian Jews. When England was dividing the land, giving a portion to the Arabs (Jordan) and the other part to the Palestinian Jews, an Arab delegation went before the U.N. and protested any land going to Palestinian Jews, saying that there was no such people as Palestinians, so there are no Palestinian Jews, and a portion of the land should not go to Palestinian Jews, as there was no such thing as a Palestinian. How times have changed.

How times have changed. Yes, you're correct. I believe that it was the fork-tongued, spin-doctor Yasser Arafat who created the modern Palestinian myth after the 1967 war.
