Knock, knock

20 posts in this topic

. . . okay, so I don't actually have a funny joke to go with my title (not unless you want me to have one!). I thought I'd be different and writing knock, knock seemed to brake the tradition of writing the formal 'hello' in an introduction.

I'm a newbie on here, which might very well be obvious.

I am a. . .

- Green eyed

- blonde

- homeschooler

- dancer

- big sister. . . or one of them

- rock collector

- lover of anything history ( esp. ancient, like B.C. ancient! )

- philosophy, anthropology, psychology, sociology - anything of the sort - I cherish very deeply, and ( most importantly..)

- I am a Christian

Now you know me

I have a feeling that I will enjoy a lot of reading on here.

Hi, teyla, I was once a rock collector, too. It was a hobby I enjoyed with my dad, and we also did some lapidary work. After he passed away I made my hubby haul my rock collection 60 miles to our home, and then 5 miles more when we moved a few years later. Since it was extensive, he has opted to not move again. Never could get my family interested till now. Now a 12 yr. old grandson after my own heart is wild about rocks. He took 2 apple boxes of thunder eggs, fossils, petrified wood, obsidion and garnets and agates for tumbling home with him the last time he was here and is like uncle scrooge admiring all his money as he has washed them and spread them all over the livingroom floor to admire them. But God is first in his life and has been for several years. I always thought that the fun was in following a scribbled map to a dig and searching for buried treasure.

Blessings,

Willa

Welcome! I have thrown a few rocks in my day! Don't know if anyone thought they were worth collecting though....
