the one that comes to mind is 'a soft answer turns away wrath but a harsh word stirs up anger'. Proverbs.. um...15:1. If you download such a tool as e-sword, you can search  the whole of scripture for  any  word you are interested in. I put in 'anger, wrath' and it turned up 58 instances using the Literal Translation of the Holy Bible.....

Thanks. Looks like an awesome app but they do not seem to have one for Linux.

Hi gigman7 :)

Here are a few verses from Proverbs on "anger."

Flying off quickly with anger causes one to deal foolishly:

Pro 14:17  He that is soon angry dealeth foolishly: and a man of wicked devices is hated.

We need to be careful in our friendships:

Pro 22:24-25
(24)  Make no friendship with an angry man; and with a furious man thou shalt not go:
(25)  Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.

Those that are slow to anger are "better than the mighty":

Pro 16:32  He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.

Here are a few Linux free Bible programs, some seem better and more intuitive than others:

If you have "Wine" installed on your Linux OS, The Word Bible study program works out of the box:
http://www.TheWord.net

-------------------

CrossOver made by CodeWeavers cost $59.95, there is a trailware available.
I believe the trialware is only for 14 days.

"CrossOver is a polished version of Wine provided by CodeWeavers"
http://www.winehq.org/download/

E-Sword.net may work with Wine, not sure. Their coding has changed over the years.
Likely CrossOver would work out of the box for E-Sword, but it only has "trailware" and cost after trial is over.
