Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; Eph 2:20 And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; Eph 2:21 In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit. This means that Ezekiel's temple is the Lord Jesus Christ, which is a Temple that has been built by God's hands and not man's hands. And once God's temple falls away from Biblical truth then the man of sin would be revealed within it. And this means that all of this occurs within the corporate Church, and not the State of Israel. Source: endtimesalert.com In reality he was not teaching that Ephesians Message in the 2 Thess.2:3-4 warning of the coming false one to sit the "temple of God" to proclaim himself in place of God. That act of 2 Thess.2:4 is not an act by any believer on Christ Jesus. It is the event of Christ's pseudo-Christ warning of Matt.24:23-26. That means an act of corruption, falseness. Christ's true Temple of Eph.2 is made up of Him as its Cornerstone, and His Apostles and prophets as its foundation, and His faithful as lively stones (per Apostle Peter). His Temple can NEVER be corrupted by any man, nor by any angel. It is a 'spiritual' Temple, one not made with hands. If any believer on Jesus falls away from Him, they are cut off from His spiritual Temple, because again, His Temple cannot be corrupted. The "temple of God" of 2 Thess.2:4 will be a literal physical temple made with hands, on earth, for the coming Antichrist to sit in. This the early 1st and 2nd century Church fathers also well understood (check out their writings about the Antichrist). You may then ask, "Why then does Apostle Paul call that 'the temple of God' in 2 Thess.2:4?" It's because to the unbelieving Jews in Jerusalem, the rebuilding of another temple there will be to continue Old Covenant worship again, which is their specific aim (Orthodox Jews). Those Jews still believe The Messiah has not come yet, so they do not recognize The New Covenant Jesus Christ (nor Christ's spiritual Temple). They believe they are still under the Old Covenant, which included a literal physical temple like Solomon's and the 2nd temple of history. So a physical temple built in Jerusalem again, to them that would be "the temple of God." And when the Antichrist comes, he is not coming to literally destroy those deceived Jews, he is coming to be their expected Messiah, which is how he will sit in the new temple in Jerusalem proclaiming himself as God like Apostle Paul warned there in 2 Thess.2:4. The 1st - 2nd century Church fathers understood from God's Word that that coming Antichrist will build that literal temple in Jerusalem to sit in. But first the dome must be destroyed. This is israel's propblem at the moment. But the f.prophet will do it for them;but he also will claim it for himself. jesse. Have you heard anything about the dome being in the court of the gentiles and not needing to be destroyed in order for a temple to be built? Per Ezra and Nehemiah, the people wept because of this. Later Herod added onto the 2nd temple, but it still did not match Solomon's temple. Neither temple ever matched the one in Ezekiel 40 forward.
