I hate spiders, especially the large ones. Here in the UK they seem to be getting bigger, Huge things with long yucky legs stalk around houses at this time of the year, they are as large as the palm of your hand. Currently my vac contains at least 5 which I have sucked up in the last few weeks.

I was once bitten by a house spider! People say it's not possible as their jaws are too small, but believe me the big ones can bite!

I was getting ready one morning and was putting on my jeans, as I did I felt something prick me so I reached inside and felt something like crinkly stiff cellophane so grabbed whatever it was and pulled it out. There in my hand was a massive, huge, MASSIVE REALLY MONSTROUS SPIDER. AAAAAHHHHHHH.

I dropped it and immediately jumped on the bed. YUK, AAAAAHHHHH, EEEEKKKKK.

I stared at this red dot on my leg where it had bit me and wondered if my leg might drop off or something (are house spiders poisonous?)

Then I realised I had no idea where the spider had gone so I peered over the edge of the bed not daring to get down and spent ages looking around my bedroom. I never did find that spider and thankfully my leg didn't drop off!!!

There once was a time when a rolled up newspaper did the trick.

Due to the lack of newspapers, nowadays you can just hit them with your kindle or Ipad.

Believe me when I say they never knew what hit them.   :whistling:

Be thankful you dont have the spiders I have in my area.

Black widow spiders (creepy and venomous).

Brown recluse spiders (creepy, venomous and will really mess up your body).

Tarantulas and wolf spiders. I dont care if they are not venomous to people they are far too big to mess with. Although Ive heard their bites are painful. Finding one in my bed one night was not cool. Especially since I was in bed with it.

Sun spider. Looks too much like a scorpion (which we also have) to be acceptable in my personal space. Especially after finding one on a pillow one night.

We have Black Widow's outside around cement planters or flower pots. There was a time that I feared to get clothes from the closet thinking about the Recluse, I don't fear that anymore. ;-)
