Without damaging the fly at all, he would puff up his cheeks like a trumpet player then open his mouth and exhale the poor creature into somebody's face.... just for fun. It would be quite amusing to see this thing fly out of his mouth, legs dangling (and staggering like like the Wright Brother's first plane flight) into the shocked visage of the surprised victim. which was usually female and would scream with shock and disgust when she saw what was happening to her. Of course my friend was a bit strange anyway. He used to pat bees and sometimes try to stroke them like you would stroke a kitten. He found their stripy yellow and black woolly sweaters to be quite cuddly, or so he told me. The wall-bashing crane fly. Not the greatest aviator of the insect world. My roommate came in with a little toad about the size of a quarter and it dawned onme to amuse myself a little. I told my roommate to walk with me down to the dorm leadersroom where I wanted him to announce that I was sick and felt I had a frog in my throat.So as I walked there with my roomate I place the little quarter sized toad on my tongueand closed my mouth... it went off with out a hitch my roommate made the announcement andthen I opened my mouth and the little toad behaved beautifully sitting dead center ofmy tongue appeared quite happy setting there in a moist warm and mostly dark environment...As the dorm room leader looked at the toad in my mouth I moved my tongue slightly and thetoad leaped out of my mouth onto the floor upon which I exclaimed oh wait I feel like thefrog in my throat has left... turning I started back to my dorm room and looking back twoor three times that dorm room leader never cracked a smile or anything but looked as thoughhe was in some sort of dumbfounded amazement. O O I'm not sure if you're replying to my crane-fly post but if you are, this was fifteen maybe twenty years ago in my wild pre-saved days. It was just kids getting up to mischief. I'm pretty sure that my friend doesn't do that anymore. I hope not.... he has a wife and daughter now.
